I bought the product in January 2023, and in June 2023, I started noticing a leak. It would wet the entire base where the water heats up. With less than 7 months of use, it has become impossible to use as it is leaking a lot of water. I don't know where the leak is coming from. I will have to activate the product warranty.

Ordered this in December 2020 because I wanted a glass kettle that was BPA free. It has started showing rust already on the outer surfaces. See photos. BPA free or not- Still not sure if it is BPA free because I can see a plastic washer on the base . When I tried to enquire about what it was made of, I didn't receive any response from the manufacturer. BestBuy/Bella - care tonadress these issues? If I dont get any response, this is going into the trash.

Bought this kettle primarily to heat the drinking water. Noticed some rust formation near the water outlet and also the inside. Stopped using it after about using about 2-3 months. Couldn't reach out any one because of the COVID 19.

It failed and leaked on third use and failed to auto shutoff burnt itself leaked tea all over counter till was empty

I do enjoy the function of this product. We drink a lot of tea so this kettle was supposed to be our tea only kettle. Unfortunately, this rusted so fast! We have only been using this kettle for a month. See the attached pictures to see how tarnished it has become. We only ever used water and tea leaves in this, so I have no idea why it rusted/tarnished so quickly. I definitely would not rebuy this. It would be a great purchase if it didn’t tarnish so fast.

It does work well, but it is corroding on the inside after 4-5 uses. Even the screws on the bottom are rusting already. I emailed Bella 2 separate times and they refused to admit any fault with the product. Bella customer service is the absolute worst as they do not stand behind their products. This will be my last time buying a Bella product!

01/07/2021 I received the item and after using it about twice a week. The kettle has corrosion at the bottom and also the small tip too corroded (see pictures). On 01/27/2021 I tried to return it to Best Buy but its over the 14 days return policy.

This kettle leaks after 2 months through an inside plastic washer. I wish I could return it!

After two weeks of uses the rim started to rust. Call the company after sending photos, sale slip, they said they would refund the money in 6-8 weeks.

Just bought this from Nov. 10 2021, just handful use. it started rusting at the heater needle in one week, and now it leaked.

I'm having the exact problem Ramjee posted about months ago. There seems to be rust or other buildup at the heating point, I presume it is, and now I'm seeing discoloration at the bottom. I've only used it 3 times.

This item was very easy to use. I really liked the preset temperatures for different types of tea. It took the guesswork out of making the perfect tea. The cord having a place under the base to wind around keeping the exposed cord on the counter to a minimum is a great feature I wish every appliance had. The only downsides were the user manual was not in a language I could read. Not that it mattered since it was so easy to use. Also, it’s quite big. It’s not a one cup of tea maker.

Please don't waste your time/money on this item, I've barely used it and now it has scale on the bottom, it's not stainless steel at all

It is easy to have stain in the bottom. And it is really hard to clean. Especially I just used this about one month. And I didn't use it pretty frequently. But it already has a stick stain in the button after using couples times.

Kettle is working well but it has used marks on it. This is suppose to be new

This electric kettle has turned out to be much more useful than we first thought. Yes, you can make a pretty decent cup of English-style black tea, but it's a bit of a process: Put your loose or bagged tea in the perforated container. Fill the kettle with fresh water (about 3/4 litre for 2 large mugs). Turn the kettle on & select "Black Tea/Coffee." Keep the tea container raised until larger bubbles form, then plunge it in, slowly rotating constantly. After a minute or so the water will reach full boil, stop rotating and let steep for roughly a minute, or longer for strong tea. Using 'Wagh Bakri' brand Indian tea from Amazon yields a flavorful, full-bodied cup with no sense of bitterness or over-brewed taste. There are four temperature settings (160F, 175F, 195F, and 212F - which will accurately, and repeatably brew a wide range of teas (the 'keep warm' function maintains the last selected temperature making steeping easy). The only cons for the Bella Kettle are that it's pretty large, the minimum brew is .5 litre which may be a bit much for some teas, and at around seventy dollars is moderately expensive. OTOH, its speed, temperature range & stability, and ease of use have made it an irreplaceable part of our morning routine.
