The handle is cheap plastic that broke loose on both the models I tried, exchanged the first one for this reason. Second one did the same thing when I applied pressure, but it is just looser not seeming to be broken broken. Works great though and I like the idea that it is ceramic instead of regular non-stick.

Ok for a person or two

I usually let cook a little past the max time to achieve a good waffle.
