I purchased this cable to transfer video from a very old Hi8 camcorder. This S-Video cable was a drastic improvement over the old yellow RCA connector...just remember that this cable will only carry the VIDEO...no audio! I'm very satisfied with the price and quality of this hardware

Wonderful picture, would not think it would make that much of a picture difference, but the picture is so much brighter and clear!! Easy to install and quick shipping. Best Buy has it all and we support brick and mortar stores. Should have bought the cables sooner. We have an old tv set and old DVD/VHS unit and the picture quality looks 1080! The unit didn’t have an open HDMI port. These cables work great!!!!!Don’t wait, just get cables. Thank you Best Buy. Didn’t realize we weren’t getting the full picture!!!

This S-video cable works exactly as intended: I can connect an old S-VHS camcorder to my AV receiver for playback. I plan to later buy a capture card to digitize tapes on my PC and will be using this cable for video. I'm glad Best Buy still carries these in store. I can walk into my local Best Buy and just grab one off the shelf; certainly one of the only retailers that still has them on hand. They look and feel durable and reasonably high-quality as well.

I bought this for my laserdisc player and it worked great with my flat screen TV. I was skeptical at first since this is not gold plated but it did the job well. I recommend this for vintage electronics with S-Video out puts.

It’s getting harder to find new S-Video cables nowadays, but luckily Best Buy is still selling these. Im using this to run s-video from an old AV receiver to my single S-Video input on my CRT TV. Cleaner than composite video, of course. I even bought one extra just in case.

Not much to say other than that the cable works well for what it was designed to do. I needed it for connecting my VCR to my ADVC and it worked perfectly.
