Apparently, my computer has a "no video" USB-C (GEN 1) port. Geek squad guy suggested this little adapter. Bought it, plugged it in, connected 2nd monitor and started my computer. VOILA! Two monitors now in working! Can't believe how easy it was. Picture is clear (only have a 27" 1080 acer for my second monitor) and flicker free. Would recommend this to anyone that needs a simple plug in solution!

Just wanted to save some time for others in case you are looking for what I was so why not. For people looking to just connect their macbook air to a monitor…just read before purchasing. And i am one of the most indecisive person ever. One bad review will make me redecide if i should get whatever product/thing i am getting. So you can trust this review. Anyway, I have a Macbook Air 2017 and I needed to connect it to my new HPM27f monitor. Plugged it on my macbook. Didnt work. Neither does it work if you use a USB 3.0 4-port for it. I just returned it and got the Insignia Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter from Best Buy as well. Now, that works. Enjoy :) I didnt recommend it only cuz it didnt work for me. Doesnt mean the product doesnt work.

I Have 2 Screens & Only Have 1 HDMI Port On My Computer. I Ordered The VGA With The USB End 1st. It Worked However, VGA Is A Analog Signal And You Can Definitely Tell The Difference In The Clarity OF The Display. It Was Very Blurry. This HDMI To USB Adapter Made My Screen Pristine & Sharp. I Recommend This Product To Anyone Needing To Add Monitors With Limited Ports On Their Computer

It was plug and Play, there were no drivers necessary to install. Windows immediately detected it as a HDMI port and there were no issues with connecting my additional monitor.
