    If you’re someone who buys multiple devices or electronics/appliances in a year, or you own expensive tech items that you want protected — My Best Buy Total is definitely worth it. It gives a nice balance of convenience (shipping, deals), protection (warranty & repair discounts), and support (tech help) that offers real value over time. If, on the other hand, you’re a casual shopper (buying once in a blue moon), then the membership might feel like overkill — in that case, consider buying protection on a per-item basis instead. Overall: 9 / 10 — high cost but high value for the right kind of shopper.

    My husband and I bought a new house last year and we needed new appliances. I purchased a refrigerator and a washer/dryer set. The Best Buy rep suggested the membership and explained the price match guarantee, especially since Black Friday would fall in the 60-day time. We were able to quickly and easily get the new sale price difference on all three items. Our particular refrigerator went to an additional sales promotion during the time, and they did the adjustment again. I am now remodeling my kitchen and purchasing more appliances and watching for price differences again.

    OK, why do we need this? You do! I need this membership 1x, 2x, 3x a year - when I least expect to need it for my iPhone, or my Mac(s) or the Lenovo Yoga I bought for fun. I seem to always need help on something, especially when I am recycling stuff, or want to give my old PC to my nephew and want to make sure it is Clean. Just remember to make an appointment ahead of time on the BestBuy app.

    I signed up for Best Buy’s total yearly membership, and it’s been a great decision. The membership offers nice discounts and perks that make shopping for electronics much easier and often more affordable. I appreciate the priority customer support — whenever I had questions or needed help with a purchase, their reps were prompt, helpful, and professional. The extended warranty and protection benefits give me peace of mind, especially when buying expensive items.     It is expensive and it renews yearly. If you cancel it, you also cancel ANY protections that you got while you were a member. Even if it was a 2-year protection, since it was paid for via the membership (for "Free") cancelling the membership cancels these protections as well. If you shop at Best Buy frequently enough and take advantage of the protections, then I'd say it's worth it. Otherwise, I would pass on it.

    I love it when I purchase something that presents itself as money-saving and convenient, and turns out to be exactly as presented. This membership saves me from sitting in front of family members' computers, over my head in software, and picking at random things hoping they will turn out to fix the problem at hand. I just take the item I'm struggling with to the Geek Squad, and they fix it. My only complaint is they are so pressured for time because this service is so popular, that they don't get to thoroughly explain what they've done.

    The membership was great for a new laptop I bought and switching the info on my old laptop to the new one. It did not help when I bought a Bushnell View on line and used a rewards certificate. I returned it because Bushnell came out with a new model for the same price. Best Buy refunded my money but not the rewards certificate. I was told when I returned it the reward would be added back to my account, but after a week and I called it was not. I was then told rewards are not reusable. I thought I the membership should have helped me with customer service.

    Disappointed with the delivery system.

    The Geek squad is great. But there is a disconnection with the delivery team. I recently had a problem. I had two conflicting texts. One said “delivery around 12:27 PM and a second one “delivery between 8:30 AM-12:30 PM. The first message was received 4 days in advance and the second the day before. This conflicting information resulted in the part not being delivered because I had a Doctors appointment that I could have cancel or change but didn’t because the first text gave enough time to be back home on time for the delivery. The second text one was to late to do something about it and two it was too late to change my Doctors appointment, end result no delivery on the scheduled day. The delivery person on the phone couldn’t or didn’t want to accommodate a different time later that day. Is hard for me to understand why he couldn’t shift my delivery for another and still be able to do mine. He was very cut and dry talking to me. He didn’t express any concerns about delivering my item the same day. He just simply said “no I can’t do it today it has to be another day. Bottom line I am not happy with Best Buy delivery system and the communication between one end and the other (csr service). On the other end I am happy with my TV. It has a beautiful sound and screen. The Bose sound bar was doing awesome until it stopped working. I hope the next one doesn’t have the same problem.

    I've had this membership for a long time and I really do value the way that I can go to the Geek Squad with any problem I may have and it's resolved. The service I receive is outstanding and there've been time when I'd have been left in a situation wher I'd have spent a long long time without my computer if it had not been for the Geek Squad. In fact, there's been times when I'd have resorted to purchasing a new laptop because the problem was so far out of my ability to handle. Thanks Geek Squad!!

    This membership has been totally worth it for me. The member pricing alone saves money over time, and having access to support when I need it is a big plus. I like the peace of mind that comes with added protection and benefits, especially on bigger purchases. Overall, it’s convenient, reliable, and something I actually use.     I bought this plan after I already purchased a television that I had somewhat immediate issues with. This was an ongoing project and the installation took me past my return period on the television I purchased without total membership, and that's when I started finding issues with my purchase of the television. I wish I had gotten this ahead of time. Even though I haven't had personal experience from a total membership product warranty/replacemen yet, however I just wish I had local support from TOTAL rather than the dead ends I've been getting in resolving my issues with the television manufacturer.

    I don't like that. They charge much on the extended warranty prices and don't offer you extended Geek Squad much anymore. I also had to wait so long for Geek Squad appointments. They are so far backlogged and don't have enough help. I think online consumers and shoppers are killing their store. Business online is still cool, but a lot of the stores and departments are shutting down. Hopefully, they're not on their way out

    Nice upgrade from Insignia Fire TV.

    After a few years of using the Insignia Fire TV, I feel like this is a nice upgrade. I don't really like the platform that was built with the Fire TV. This Roku TV is easier to use and the sound quality is way better than the Fire TV. Another thing I don't like about Fire TV is the limited storage that Amazon have on the TV. They only include 4GB and if you used up the available space then you will have to use an external storage device or delete some apps to make room for new apps.

    I am greatful for the amazing geek squad support. The telephone option is very convenient and I usually do not need to seek in-store help. Your sales associates, as well as the geek squad understand the needs of individuals who came late to computer and cell phone age. Sometimes seniors age 75+ need extra guidance. The guidance is always delivered with kindness and patience.

    Based on what it would have cost to clean out my husband's laptop after my email had been hacked, the membership fee was reasonable. What made it a bargain, was since it covered any and all household computers, I also had them completely clear everything out of my laptop which had been languishing unused for months because it had been locked down by Bitlocker, and I was still looking for the recovery key. Now I have the use of my computer again.

    My member definitely came in on top when it came to help with my computer, and especially taking it to Geek Squad. My desktop pretty much wasn't starting, and i was oblivious to the issues. Geek Squad helped me figure the issues out and offered to help me fix it, I only turned away because my own funding, but i am definitely coming back to them when I have technical issues in the future. 10/10, worth the purchase.

    I like the membership I have with Best Buy because I get to know all the deals before they happen and it’s really great for me now that it’s Christmas time because now I can find things more easily. I also love the convenience of the store, not being far from my home and they’re a great computer personnel. They help me with computer questions and things so that nature, and when it comes to me buying a computer they were very helpful and the computer I bought recently fit me like a glove.
