Everyone I have talked to who has seen this film raved about it. They said it was a story that kept your interest and one that you would want to watch again and again. I finally purchased the film at Best Buy and I totally agree that it is one of the best films I have ever seen.

Bought this mainly because I enjoy watching Judi Dench work. I was not disappointed - not only Dame Dench but the entire cast is very good. Ensemble work in action. It is sad and happy at the same time. The scenery is beautiful. This is not a "chick flick", either - my boyfriend found it enchanting.

A moderately paced script about the trials and tribulations of later life folks looking for a dignified last chapter in life. A son trying to find his own way and making the most out of a somewhat bleak situation. Altogether, a very adequate cast makes for a pleasant way to spend an evening with a good movie.

Great movie, great cast, amazing story, if you're looking for a great love story that will keep you laughing this is it. Maggie Smith, Judi Dench give great performances. Can't wait till the sequel come out on Bluray.

I was excited, and thrilled to finally see one of the best new movies to hit the Big Screen. I laughed, cried, and just plain fell in love with what I'd call a Romance/Comedy. If you haven't seen this movie run don't walk to get this Movie to add it to your collection.

This is a wonderful movie about people making the best of a bad situation and having to start over at an advanced age. It was beautifully plotted and you fell in love with the characters. The life lessons were precious and the story left you hopeful and overall happy.

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It has a little bit of everything - funny, happy, sad, romance. Casting is spot on and each part is brilliantly played. All set in beautiful scenery, it really makes you feel as if you are in India!

We had seen this movie before in a theater a couple years ago. At the reduced price for the DVD I thought it was worth seeing again. Probably of more interest to older people, or people who have traveled internationally and to some extent can relate to the movie.

If you like travel, India, stories about people over 50, Maggie Smith, or Judi Dench you need to see this film. I am waiting to find The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel as an inexpensive DVD. While I wait I will watch this movie again.

I loved the movie... Then the SECOND marigold hotel came out and I wanted to see the first one again... Could not find the DVD in any stores... BUT Best Buy online had it... And it was mailed to me so quickly! I am happy! It is a great movie!

a great movie for all ages but especially full of life and fun for the over 60 crowd .. much fun and a look at another way of living for the older crowd. Makes retiring look like another life ! great story lines all around with an all star cast. ..

A drama, funny throughout and shows a real splice of life for many people. Great scenery of a gorgeous country also. Good to own in any collection of the genre. Also, the second one in the series is great.

This movie managed to tug on all my emotions but it also help me to determine what type of a senior/retired person I want to be - enjoy the day, seize the moment, make lemonade out of lemons rather than mean spirited. It was a great movie

This is one of my favorite movies in a long, long time. Have watched it three times. Love the mature actors. Not silly, long hair, brainless as a lot of actors are today. Movie had a plot, very applicable to older people today. Subject matter was right on.

I think that this moviie was a little under rated by the 'professional' reviewers, but has a nice overall story line. My wife and I have enjoyed watching it several times with friends and family. There is enough sublt humor to keep things lively.

This was a very good movie. Hard to find movies that appeal to an older crowd. Touching, & funny. Wonderful, seasoned actors that work well together. Can't wait for the sequel!

A wonderful look at life over 50 when there is still much you can do, but you are looking for what life is after retirement, divorce, or widowhood and coming to terms with who you are, who you were, and what you can become.

The typical movies I watch are The Avengers or Captain America. My wife bought this and I was reluctant to watch but it turned out to be a great movie where you really get into the characters. Can't wait to see the sequel.

I'd already bought the sequal and realized I didn't have the first "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and ordered it and was happy you had it. I've since watched both movies and really enjoyed them.
