This replaced a pioneer 8 inch sub i had for only a week..and i really liked the pioneer 8 inch sub!!!....BUT.. after i got this sub woofer there is no going back to any kind of normal sized sub woofer ever again!!! This thing is so powerful i had a tough time placing it....i was BOOMING the whole house just playing music at some what normal levels... i have the sub woofer crossover at 100 hz and the sub woofer is now BEHIND me.....and you would swore the super low notes are coming from the front speakers!!!!!! I have crossed this sub to the highest level my receiver will allow..160 hz...and it takes it and still sounds great. This BIC is 12 inch down firing and is truly omni directional. The 430 watt peak amp is amazing. I am very very very happy with this sub woofer...this sub woofer is worth many times more than what i paid for it!!!!

I was looking for a sub for my 5.1 setup, but are looking around at the Klipsch SW-450 and the price I was looking forget it. But I search around and seen that best buy sell Bic America, and start jumping around. So I start looking for a sound and the first one that pop up was the 12''. So I order it and it came a day before christmas and i been enjoying it ever since. So if you are looking for a great sub for a low price with good quality this is the one!!

It connected up easily, adjusted up quickly and the sound is full and room-filling....I just love it. And it makes a good end table too...lol.

I bought this to replace a 15 year old Boston Accoustics sub. I couldnt be happier with this purchase. Sounds great!

I've had a 5.0 system for a number of years with large tower speakers. I should have added a subwoofer a long time ago. This unit sounds great and the only minor issue is that the color is a medium/dark gray and not black like the rest of my equipment.

I replaced an older Sub-Woofer with this BIC. The price range was good when comparing to some of the bigger names but it would be hard to imagine that the bigger names have any better sound. The unit is easy to adjust, and I found out after buying that it has an Auto-Shut off feature when not in use...which will help in saving power and wear and tear on the unit. It is down firing, which I wasn't sure how I would like but after playing some of my favorite movies like Twister....it will rattle as much stuff in a room as you would like.

I was looking for a powerful down firing subwoofer. This was on the top of the list among the many name brands that I was considering. Bic is a reputable speaker company. With it's size, features and specs, it was a no brainer for me to buy this. I'm glad I did because it did not disappoint. You can adjust the frequency to match your speaker setup. It may take some adjustments, but once you dial it in, it is amazing! It sounds great for music, and it could also rattle the whole room when you're watching action packed movies. Great performance & value.

I just received the sub a couple of days ago and was skeptical. But, not anymore!! It was packed very well and sounds unbelievable. Really shakes the house, and I haven't even cranked it up yet. Definitely believe the reviews, you will not be disappointed.

This sub woofer should not cost this much, It should be 500$ or more, Very good sound, explosions sound amazing, and it can handle a lot of sound I blast this thing and it handles it with no fear of it blowing up. A great purchase indeed BIC rocks!

The sound range is excellent. For the money, this model is a really good buy. The box sticks out in a mid sized theater room.

Purchased this sub for my surround system. I made the mistake of purchasing this prior to having the complete system installed. I purchased this prior to Christmass. Then I purchased the amp after Christmass. installed the sub and it worked flawlessly. I set the system up. I watched the opening scene of the new Star Trek movie about four times while tweaking things. Then I listened to about three hours of music from my satellite receiver. I used the sub for about four hours total. The next morning I go to use my sound system. The sub is dead. No power, no power light, nothing. I check the fuse - looks good. My mistake? Buying this and not setting it up until after the return period is over. This is the only electronic product I have ever purchased that has failed on me, which includes several refurbished electronics. Now I have a heavy, expensive paper-weight. Any electronics that has the possibility to fail after 4 hours of run time does not deserve your consideration. Run away from this item like the plague! Either that or take this thing, set it up and let it run overnight to see if it fails like mine. Pity I purchased this based on all of the good reviews.
