Love this feeder. It is so much fun to watch the different birds landing to eat. The best part is the feeders ability to identify the birds. I’ve learned a lot since installing this feeder.

I've been having soooo much fun with my Birdbuddy. I love to watch my birds - now I know their names and information about them. It even has samples of their sounds. It's educational as well as entertaining. I'm not tech savvy so it took some effort to set up. I would recommend the on line instructions.

The camera quality is incredibly clear, even with a somewhat weak wireless connection. Getting the software working was a bit challenging, but that was more to do with the app than the product itself. It's brought a lot of enjoyment to our lives and is ultimately low maintenance and easy to use.

Bird Buddy is an expensive product, but restricts certain features and forces you into a pay-to-play model. Not what you expect for a product at this price point. Just one example: want to see images of ALL the birds that come to your feeder, the so-called "frenzy" mode? Nope. You have to subscribe and pay even more. So there will be birds that you miss. Also, the videos are almost always riddled with odd frame-rate glitches that make them impossible to share with your contacts-- you get a "not delivered" error when you try to share them. Finally, the app is extremely clunky, not intuitive, and very slow. This product has the potential to be great, but right now needs some serious revisions both to the technical aspects of the feeder itself and to the shady, money-grabbing business model.

Received this as a gift & was excited to use it. Setup seemed easy enough... download the app, connect to Bluetooth, connect to WiFi then you're set. Bluetooth pairing was sketchy, but it finally connected. The last step is where the product fails. If you have a multi-band or mesh router, the app simply will not complete the setup process. (Even though you can see the camera connect in the router log). I even created a new 2.4 GHz band dedicated to the camera – still wouldn't connect. Apparently the firmware is also out of date, but of course there's no way to update via USB. Hotspot didn't work to update firmware either. I really wanted this to be the great product it should be. The design is better than anything else in the category. It just doesn't work with some wireless setups. Maybe they'll make a 2.0 version that actually works for those of us who don't use cheap ISP routers. Until then, save your money & put a Squirrel Buster outside your window.

I’m impressed! The camera quality is significantly better than I was expecting. We’re getting great photos and videos, and the gift recipient loves it!

If you have a bunch of bird species in your yard this may be cool however I only get one type so I get the same picture most everytime

This was very easy to set up and connect to our Wifi. We love seeing which birds come in to visit.

This bird feeder is so much fun if you enjoy silly photos of your backyard birds. The birds seem to love it too. It’s a little more expensive than I’d like but it’s great.

The app is amazing and the kids love learning about the birds that visit. We even named several of the repeat visitors. Cant wait for the hummingbird feeder they are releasing

It's fun but needing the subscription for many of the advanced features made it a dubious gift.

[Employee of bestbuy] My dad and I have had so much fun watching all our feathered visitors! Set up was easy, app is intuitive, AI recognition is pretty awesome. My only complaint here is that 1080p requires an annual subscription. If the hardware I purchased has a 1080p sensor installed, I should be able to use that sensor. Bird Buddy should consider a local storage only option and enable 1080p for those customers. I know you want that sweet sweet sweet service revenue, but please, don't be like so many other companies today. Let customers use the hardware they paid for.

Amazing birdhouse, although it’s quiet in the northeast for birds this time of year the few that arrive are happy to be filmed and fe. What a great relaxing thing to do.
