Customers regard the cleaning performance and ease of use of this product very favorably, with many appreciating its compact size and light weight. However, some customers have noted that the suction could be improved, and the spray pattern may be too wide for precise cleaning. Positive feedback frequently highlights the ease of setup and use, and the ability to clean effectively. The small size is seen as a benefit for cleaning smaller areas.

I wanted this cleaner since I recently got a puppy -- it's perfect for those "oops" moments in our apartment! Simple to use, efficient, light weight, can store it anywhere... I think it could be slightly less expensive (even by like $10) and you would really get the "bang for your buck" mentality.

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A COMPACT CARPET CLEANER THIS IS IT! ITS POWERFUL AND VERY EFFECTIVE ON PET STAINS OR ANY SET IN STAIN THAT YOU WANT REMOVED. SO EASY TO USE JUST SNAP THE PARTS TOGETHER. THIS DEVICE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT IT HAS GOOD SUCTION BUT TAKES AWHILE FOR THE DAMPNESS TO DRY. DECENT SUCTION YOU JUST HAVE TO GO OVER IT A FEW TIMES TO MAKE SURE MOST OF THE WATER IS REMOVED. MAKE SURE YOU VACUME CARPET REALLY WELL BEFORE CLEANING SO THAT NOTHING GET TRAPPED INSIDE THE NARROW CLEANING NOZZEL OTHERWISE YOU CAN'T GET IT OUT DUE TO YOU CAN'T CLEAN INSIDE THE NOZZEL OTHERWISE ITS A GREAT MACHINE AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ITS USAGE.

great item, works wonderfully for small pet or just carpet stains, upholstery etc. i spilled a glass of water on my carpet the other day and was thinking about blotting it with a towel then i remembered i had this and voila easy to use and cleaned up all the water no issues. Easy to dump the dirty tank and rinse it out. I just set it outside to air dry a abit no problems.

As a owner of 5 cats, all over 13 yrs. Little Green is a gift form God. It does everything Bissell said it would do. It's not meant to clean a whole carpet, but it could if you really wanted to.

The set up and operation was easy. I had to put additional water on the areas that were cleaned so it would rinse out the dirt.

This little guy sucks up spots like it's nothing. It holds a good amount of water and does not leak. As for the suction power, if you just lift the hose off of the floor and let it sit for a couple seconds it works great. Take your time it is a spot cleaner.

Great cleaner for small areas, but works in a pinch for large ones too - just time consuming. So far has cleaned up very well after my family's mess which includes a tween, twin toddlers (spills, vomit, diaper leaks) and a small dog (vomit and poo). Took on our couch & loveseat, an area rug (the whole rug, once) and my minivan with gusto, and has removed almost everything. It easy to fill, carry, empty, and clean (except for dirt trapped in the handle and tank - frustrating for us type A people). I am a former scientist, so I rinse everything multiple times/ let things air dry before reassembly, and have not had any odors greet me upon the next use (read in other reviews about that problem prior to my purchase almost a year ago). I recycle what I can, so that was the selling point over other small cleaners. I loved that it uses recycled plastics (even a little is better than none), and that there was only cardboard in the packaging (which proptly when into the recycling bin). As far as the wide spray path - I just keep the handle as close as possible the the spot I am cleaning to keep the path narrow, and lift it higher to cover more area as needed - pretty simple solution. Over all, it's a keeper!

Little Green is the best compact cleaner that I have tried. I live in a one bedroom apartment. I recently received a puppy for my birthday. Potty trainning say the least has not been so great. I bought the carpet cleaners at the store and tried cleaning up the accidents by hand. Not good at all. I decided to have the whole carpet cleaned and tried the whole create training. Not so good either.
It was time to choose a carpet cleaner. Being that the puppy is restricted to one area I did not want to spend a lot of money on a carpet cleaner. I went online to Bestbuy.com and looked at several carpet cleaners. The Little Green caught my eye because it was compact and it said that Bissell has a commitment to reducing their impact on the enironment. Not to mention it was cute and I loved the color.
Once I got home I put the cleaner to the test. Not only was it easy to set up it is light weight and not loud. My puppy hates the vaccum because of the noise. The Little Green he will sit right next to it without a problem.
I tested the carpet on one spot first. I wanted to see if you would really be able to tell a diffrence. You sure could. That spot made the carpet look like I never paid someone to come in and professionally clean the entire carpet. So I continued cleaning. Before I knew it I cleaned the whole living room. I cleaned the whole living room without noticing it because of the long cord. I did not have to unplug the Little Green once. I called my mom, grandma and boyfriend as soon as I was done.
I would recommend this to anyone that is wanting something small and light weight to clean those small tough spots that you thought would always be there.

I got this machine for my puppy's accidents on my carpet. I have to admit that I am very impressed with how fast and easy it is to put together and to use.
It's so good that I started doing sections at a times on my carpet and wow...What a difference. Not sure why people saying it leaks and this and that. It's a great product and there is no leaks and it's not as noisy as some reviews say. 100% reccommend. :-)

Having 2 Chihuahuas that go where they want, I didn't want to drag out the full size carpet shampooer just to clean up a few inches of carpet. The little green machine is perfect in this capacity. It's very compact, stores easily, and does a great job spot cleaning the carpet. It also works very well on upholstery. It also has very good capacity. Just don't expect miracles. It's meant for spot cleaning; for the big jobs use a full sized unit. When used as intended, this little cleaner will prove to be invaluable.

I recently got another one of these units as my old one was leaking. It leaked constantly. I had to keep it on a deep tray to prevent it from taking nasty water concentrate from one part of the carpet and depositing it on another. So I thought it was old, or just unlucky, nope...new one leaks too.
It’s going back tomorrow; maybe I can get something that doesn't leak all over everything.
But If I stopped there I would not be doing anyone a service about this product. First let me tell you what this wet-vac is good for. Small and well contained fresh messes. It will suck up a lot of water if needed, though it does have trouble pulling water out of fibers, like a carpet, rugs, couches etc.
So fresh messes in a small area, good to go, unless it leaks and now you have a large mess in a larger, much larger area. But I digress.
So if your stain is old, or its dried, or whatever, this vac is terrible for it. At least on its own. The solution is so bad, I shudder to think trying to deep clean with it. It just cannot take away stains or other things from fabric.
Smallish to medium areas take an inordinately huge amount of time to clean. The initial spray and clean with 1 pass doesn't take very long, but that leaves lots of cleaning residue on the floor. And as stated before, it doesn't pull water from fabric or fiber very well. So if you want it all up, over and over and over and over and over again you must go.
Now let’s move on to the foam part, this is my favorite, really, honest.
That section of the instruction manual that tells you not to use any other type of cleaner, that section we all know and love, well I will share with you why. FOAM. In case you missed it. FOAM FOAM FOAM.
Most cleaning products, carpet cleaners included, will foam when used, this increases their surface area substantially and thusly cleaning performance goes way up. Now normally this is fine, but when in combination with this particular vacs design, horrible things ensue.
How the nozzle is designed, it squeezes water into a small area, then it becomes a huge area and is forced into the waste tank by the rest of the suctioned air, this is a super duper foaming action on anything that can foam. It also has another consequence I will go into in a moment. So this foam will build up rapidly in the waste tank and then find its way to the area where the air that was forced into the waste tank goes, out the bottom of the unit after being used as a cooling source for the internals.
So this nasty dirty and likely smelly foam will get inside your unit, all over whatever is in their too cool it, and leak out the sides and bottom. And if your cleaning up something particularly persistent, like cat urine, well....I hope you really like that smell every time you use your vacuum.
So onto the smell. Since it uses the sucked in air to cool and pull through waste water, the air will pick up the scent of whatever it is you are cleaning. So look forward to your whole room smelling like that.
So just use the cleaner made for it you say. Valid point. But you may not be able to control what was used to clean that area in months previous. Even a commercial carpet cleaning can render this thing useless due to massive foam issues. Cleaned that area with a pet stain remover before? Prepared to spend an hour+ trying to get rid of all the foam?
And as stated before, the cleaner solution is not the most effective stuff. Pretreatment with other Bissell products made for use with carpet cleaners? Enjoy your Foam and smell.
There is one more thing I want to point out about it. The description says it has a strong spray. My spray bottles, all of them, having a stronger spray than this thing. It doesn't trickle out, but is by no means strong. And as said before the suction has trouble pulling from fibers.
Yet I give 3 stars, as it does certain things in controlled situations quite well.
If these things describe your situations, go for it. If not. Get something else.

Got a messy pet? This is for YOU!

If you have a pet at home that just seems to enjoy making messes for you to clean up on the rugs, I can't recommend this item more!
No more spray carpet cleaner, and no more wasting rolls of paper towels trying to lift out the stain and smell on the carpet by letting the towels soak it up the way you're supposed to.
The BISSELL Little Green cut my cleaning time in third; I swear! It felt cleaner (the spray carpet cleaner always ends up on my hands...), was much less physically taxing, and meant that I didn't end up with a bag full of dirty paper towels afterward.
I had purposely bought the special 'pet' cleaning fluid when I purchased the item; I used nearly the entire bottle filling up the reservoir, but the instructions stated that I didn't have to use hot water every time. I could leave what was left in there (as long as it was at the min. fill line) for the next clean up. You can also leave the dirty water in the other side until it reaches the max line (although depending on what you're cleaning up, I wouldn't suggest it given that you don't want dirty water congealing in there...)
Since I purchased the item, I have cleaned up approx. 16 messes. I have not had to refill the clean water side, yet (or add more cleaner), although I do empty the dirty side.
After each cleaning, the carpet had no stain, smelled clean and was only mildly damp (dried within about 20 minutes). There was no color loss in the carpet (plain beige, though).
The tubing for the sprayer/sucker is short, but the item is portable and has a decently long plug. An extension cord would allow you to take this anywhere else you might need it.
The spray for the cleaning fluid seems to spray in one long, horizontal line. I must admit that, for my purposes, it would be nicer if I could concentrate it in more of a tighter, circular area, but so far, it hasn't been a horrible inconvenience.
Although the water does not heat on its own (if you want hot water each time, you have to add hot tap water), I have found that the already mixed cleaning solution/water seem to work together just as well as when the water was hot. It cleaned the stain/smell just as well, even with the water cold (or room temp).

Bought this before Christmas, for a great price. I had one of the first ones offered, and decided to get a new one. This is alot better than the earlier models. I only wish the cleaners were a better buy, but you can't have everything. It is so much easier to get this out and use on spills, stairs, and in your car. I am planning on purchasing one for my son for his apartment, so he won't borrow mine.

My dog occasionally will have a small "accident," and with 4 people in my household, spills are a natural occurence. Enter this cleaner - it is a pretty decent price, but in this case, you don't even get what you pay for. While it is efficient at sucking liquid messes from the carpet, it isn't so great at removing the stain. Even working the formula in doesn't help much to remove all the filth, and after even a brief amount of time your wrist begins to scream. The shampoo spray is also too wide, spritzing anything and everything too close to it, so be careful around nice furniture. But that's not the true problem with the machine... The main problems are that it LEAKS, horribly, and not just the dirty tank but the HANDLE as well, so as soon as you are done cleaning one spot, the handle drips the soiled mess you just soaked up right back onto the carpet! Hair and dirt tend to get stuck in the head of the suction, which is nearly impossible to clean, and the smell of whatever you just vacuumed seeps out and permeates the air, so people using this for "pet stains" should avoid this. Not a great investment, but not the worst product on the market, either.

This is my 2nd purchase. My previous machine cleaned up after 6 dogs and lasted over 11 years. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for quick easy cleanup of pets or kids, works great on car upholstery and floorting too.
