Was surprisingly underwhelmed. Struggled on low pile carpet, suction is average to mediocre, and the steam wasn’t as useful as we had imagined. I think in my head I pictured it just blasting my carpet with the power of steam, but it’s really just a little puff that, when combined with the tank solution (in its max clean mode) ends up being warm but not scalding the way steam should be. In practice, you need to go over a small spot multiple times with just steam, then again with the other mode - tedious. We compared directly to the Shark Carpet Xpert Pet pro, and the Shark was infinitely better in practice, which really surprised us.

In short, it couldn't handle cat hair. Hair & other debris ought to reach the discard tank, but it's Not Possible due to the design of the machine. You can't fix this problem without breaking your device. In not-short, the initial inlets for debris are very narrow and the red filter under the discard tank block hair from reaching the tank. You end up with wet carpet, very little material in the discard tank, and massive clogs inside and under the view window, around brushes, inside the machine, and on top of the filter that you have to clean manually. I should've taken pics of that. My old Hoover carpet cleaner can retrieve maybe 80% of the water it puts down, but this Bissell sucked back an inch of water into the discard tank after 1.5 tanks of clean water saturating the carpet... so maybe 5% of water was returned to the discard tank. I found troubleshooting guides online for poor suction and worked through them. I cleaned the Bissell of any hair clogs and kept cleaning it & running it in the room until no visible hair clogs occurred. Pic is all the liquid the Bissell could collect after all that. Zero hair got to the tank, as far as I could see. I'd guess an internal clog, hidden away. Such Bad Design. If I still somehow haven't made this point, the pet hair needs to be able to reach the discard tank (like my Hoover), not get stuck prior to the discard tank and clog the machine. Nothing wrong with the old Hoover, just wanted the new pretty thing. Better to be loyal ;-) ! Returned.

I have not had a new carpet cleaner since my last one went kapoot (purchased my old model 10 years ago). This one literally refreshed my carpet and gave it new life! It is also designed for extreme ease of use (totally simplified!!) Not only does this clean my carpet beautifully (we have light cream carpets and pets) but makies it look close enough to new! I would highly recommend this product! Don't hesitate!! Best Buy has amazing customer service/return policy/financing options!!!!

I normally do not write reviews -- However, I am absolutely blown away at how well of a job this carpet cleaner does. I have several wine and coffee spots along with a couple pet accidents. The stains were absolutely no match for the Bissel. The steam function works very well, although I am a bit worried about scaling on the internal steam components. Regardless, I cannot even tell there was any stains previously!! It is definitely a worthwhile investment for your home's carpet.

This thing is awesome. Compared skmilar appliances at more modest price points this unequivacly performs better. Price is steep but you are getting a product that can handle regular house hold tasks. Our pets can be messy but this thing extracts all the horrors that lurk in the carpetting. Cleaning dog hair out the roller brush area is super easy as well. 10/10 If youn have pets and have to clean up your own messes take the plunge.

Was very impressed with how this machine worked. Love the fact that it has steam that you can use before you actually do all the cleaning. Cleans my carpet very well. They look like they were brand new. Hope it lasts for a while.

Our 20-person residence is more like a dorm than a family household... yet it is not large enough for a "commercial" steam cleaning unit. I wondered, then, if a higher-end home unit would be sufficient. I'm happy to say that this home-type unit does a very good job in more of a high-traffic residence with 20 adults. I like the three cleaning modes, with the option of pre-cleaning with steam... or doing a quick-dry clean in an area that needs a touch-up more than a deep clean. It is quite easy to use... you'll get the feel of it within a few minute. You'll also figure out how much carpet a full (or half) water tank will clean... important because you want to start with warm water per the instructions. I would buy this Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam unit again!

I love this cleaner! I've always gotten a cheap one (and got the problems that come with them) I finally got what I wanted. And I love how you can break this down and clean it, and it's quick! Did a great job on my carpets. Very happy with this purchase!! I give this a 5 star for value because you get what you pay for. With somethings, cheap isn't the answer.

Order this vacuum because our carpet was really dirty and we have a cat that had peed in a corner. The vacuum helped clean up the carpet really well. However, I didnt see much success from the steam mode, maybe I am not using it right. Which is why I hardly ever use this mode. Easy to assemble and clean up.

I owned 3 different Bissell carpet cleaners. This one is the best built quality (2.5 times more expensive), also with good design for controller. - Pros: Easy to clean, 2 brushes (apparently more powerfully scrubbing capability) - Cons: Heavy. 30-min dry is misleading sale point. This feature simply sprays less water so that it can dry faster as a result. There is no innovation in that.

I have rented carpet cleaners to clean up after my pets and they don't do half as good of job as this cleaner. This removes stains fairly easily, cleans and drys the carpets. It is easy to clean out the pet hair from the brushes and the attachments for furniture are easy to use. I highly recommend this for anyone with pets and a lot of carpet.

I bought this, brought it home and assembled it. I read in other reviews to follow the directions prior to use. Pretty straight forward. You fill the reservoir to the water line then add the cleaner. The amount of liquid it puts on the carpet is way too much, making it very difficult to extract it. The cleaner itself leaves a chemical smell that is horrible. I had to open all my windows for several hours to get rid of it. The suction on this is not great. It will pull some of the liquid back out but still took over 3 hours for my carpet to dry, and it left so much chemical in the carpet that it's now discolored. I've used it 2 more times without the chemical to extract the chemical and slowly but surely it's coming back out. One of the functions is the water only so your carpet will dry in 30 minutes. So little water comes out that it's a worthless function. The only saving grace for this machine is the steam function. If you have a high traffic or heavily soiled area you can steam it first and it will get it out. I was hinged between this model and the shark in the same price range. I went with this due to the steam option, but will be returning it.

This carpet cleaner works very well and I have owned several. The dual brush head is legit and it has good ergonomics. Three things I will say about it, first you need to use hot water (max of 140F) to get good steam production. I tried with regular room temp water and was umderwhelmed with the steam action. However, when using hot water it produced a good amount of steam and really boosted the cleaning power. Second, be prepared to use a ton of water and cleaner, it blows through that tank but for deep cleaning that’s what you need. Lastly, the “quick dry” is only a quick dry because it hardly uses any water, so based on what I saw didn’t clean that well in that mode. It would probably be fine for inbetween deep cleans though, but not for a spill/mess or to “clean” your carpet if its been a while. Overall very happy with it, works way better than the big red rug doctor or the power pet version as I owned both. One big drawback I wish they would address is the hose attachment, it doesn’t produce steam. Really $400 and you cant add a steam line that plugs in like on the portable hydrosteam? Anyways, if you clean upholstery as much as the carpet keep that in mind. It does work for upholstery but not as good as the portable hydrosteam.

Has your dog just shat all over your house from raging diarrhea that you have no idea how he got?? Well look no further. This is the carpet cleaner for you!! At the ripe time of 5 am my dog got sick all over my new carpet. Pulled out my old bissell and turns out it didnt work. Greaatttt. Now its around 830 bring my butt to best buy and buy this thing. Come back and my house smells like a humane society kennel. This pulled up the stains and smell within minutes. 4 hours of smell in my carpet was gone. Thank you baby jesus. Ive owened many carpet cleaners before all bissell and when i tell this is the EASIEST thing to clean im not even joking. Its worth the price in my opinion. Plus putting the water in the resivior was the easiest task along with dumping the other. Plus those are easy to clean as well. It does a great job with getting/ pulling the water out of the carpet as well. The nice thing is that it also has brushes in it and steam. Where as the others usuallt just have one line of hair/brush. This one looks like a vacuum head. I say if you dont buy this.. youll get mad you bought a diff one.

The only carpet cleaner/steam cleaner you will ever need or want. This carpet cleaner is hands down the best ive ever used. It got stains out that other carpet cleaners did nothing for. It's also quieter than other cleaners as well and the clean up is so easy.

[Employee of bestbuy] My only complaint would be for the price tag, it should not get clogged up so easily. I have a 4 month siberian husky who is already shedding. When he has accidents in the house, the machine does an excellent job of cleaning the mess up. Just wish it dealt with hair better.

Unit does a fantastic job of handling rug and spot cleaning for furniture. While it can be heavy at times, it gets the job done.
