This is the second SpotBot I've owned. The first was leaking more than it picked up, but it was also 5 years old. This is a step up from previous designs, being more compact & easier to clean. It doesn't pick up all the water on its own, so I always use the hose to manually get the rest out of the carpet. Overall it does what it's supposed to and helps me easily clean up after my pet makes a mess.

I have two dogs and I'm a clean freak. Our whole house is carpeted and I hate getting out my big steam cleaner every time there is an incident. I love to just set this unit and let it do its thing. As other reviews state, you do have use the hand tool after you are done to get the excess moisture from the spot but it really does great. You can usually get two to three spots every tankful and every time I use it for one spot I try to find two others to go ahead and get. If you use it in high-traffic areas it might clean it too good and leave a round spot. But I'm not complaining. It just showed how dirty my carpet was and I got out my big machine and that solved that. Great machine. I use it in my mini van too. Great for those little spots and easy to get out without involving a whole big project.

I have two dogs and, needless to say, they make messes on the carpet. I hate having to pull out the large steam cleaner just to get rid of one spot. I also don't like having to get down on my hands and knees to manually clean and/or use an appliance. Enter the SpotBot. This is exactly what I was looking for with a spot cleaner. Fill the chamber with water and some solution, put the device on the stain, and it does the rest. Pick it up, drain the waste compartment, and you're good to go. There are three modes when using the SpotBot: surface stain, set-in stain, and manual mode where you use the hand tool. I've used the hand tool once just to try it out and it works but manually scrubbing the carpet kind of defeats the purpose of having this as Bissell makes a manual spot cleaning device that costs half as much as this. Generally speaking, the surface stain setting (which takes about 3 minutes vs the 7 minutes for the set-in stain setting) is enough to get things clean. I've clean dog urine, stuck on dog fecal matter, dog vomit, spilled soda, spilled fruit juice, chili sauce, and various other things from my off-white carpet and the SpotBot is able to take care of every stain. The only thing you have to make sure is that you use the SpotBot as soon as you are aware of a stain. Old stains, ones that have been set-in for years, aren't going to be removed by this unless you discover some special cleaner that I haven't come across. I use multiple types of cleaners, anything made for a large carpet shampooer/steam cleaner will work with this. I knocked this off by one star as the device is pretty noisy, I can hear the scrubbing brushes through the floor when I'm in the basement cleaning the first floor. It also beeps whenever it is done and doesn't stop until you hit the "finish" button. Overall though, this appears to perform a deep clean on my carpet and I've used it on Berber and standard carpet along with rugs. It's a nifty little device that makes cleaning spots easy so you don't have to pull out any large equipment. It's easy to setup, use, clean, and then store away. The SpotBot is a little on the expensive side (seeing as how you can buy full sized carpet cleaners for $25-$50 more) but it's worth it for the convenience. Plus the cleaning head is pretty much the perfect size for capturing pet messes so you can just "set it and forget it."

Every puppy should come with a SpotBot. It does a great job of cleaning, and is super simple to use. The cord is a good length should your furry friend piddle in the middle of the room, away from an outlet. Can be noisy, but nothing terribly loud.

We've owned 2 before this one. They are wonderful. This time, we even got the Geek Squad Protection plan so it's covered for anything for the next 5 years. It's great for small spills, cleaning pet accidents, and it is extremely portable too. Unfortunately, we received it broken from Best Buy. We really needed it and it took 5 days to get to our store. All that broke was the upper arm for wrapping the power cord on...something we can live without as it doesn't affect the operation of the machine, just used to hold the cord when you wrap it up after use. We will wait until something more crutial breaks and exchange it then. Otherwise, it is a fantastic machine. We highly recommend it to anyone, and we have!

I use this portable cleaner almost daily. It is an incredible time saver and does an amazing job of cleaning! I have four cats. Two are on meds and there always seems to be some kind of accident to clean up almost daily. In the past, I would bring out the spray and paper towels and it would be a production. NOW - it is so simple! Fill the little spot bot with hot water and the amazing smelling Bissel pet solution. Bring it to the spot, turn it on and let it clean up the mess. I LOVE this machine. The manual hose feature is also so versatile. It is great for the stairs and upholstery when needed. If you have pets, this is a MUST HAVE item!

This is great for cleaning up spots from pet messes. It is also a great size for dragging out to the car to clean the upholstery with the hose. Lightweight and easy to move around.

I have seen many glowing reviews of the SpotBot Pet. So many that I was beginning to get skeptical that Bissell was hiding bad reviews. But I can attest that is not the case. This great machine works just as, if not better, then all the other reviews I've seen. Easy to set up and easy to use it turly powers away at even the oldest stains. It works so well that the only warning I can give is if you don't keep your carpets clean you will end up with immaculately clean circles where you use this great cleaning tool.

This product worked as advertised and did a good job of getting out urine stains left by our puppy on the carpeting. It's advertised as a no- work steam cleaner and it is exactly that! You just add the solution and water, set it above the spot you want cleaned, and then hit the start button. About 5 minutes later, the cleaner is done and you have white carpeting again. I would definitely recommend!

Really couldn't be easier unless it filled and emptied itself. You fill the tank with water and the cleaning solution. Place the machine over the offending spot, you press the appropriate cleaning setting and then setback and let it run. No getting down on your knees and scrubbing back and forth. No wondering if you didn't scrub or vacuum enough. We have two dogs and over the past several months it's done a very good job on urine, feces, and regurgitated matter. CAVEAT: We've never let anything set-in so I can't comment on the performance of that feature.

My dog got terribly ill one night and had several accidents in my living room. It was a horrifying scene. Once I had done an initial clean-up of the area, and taken my pet to the vet, I ran out to get a carpet cleaner. I loved this one because it did an excellent job and took no effort on my part. I only had to move it from one stain to the next as it did its thing. I use it all of the time now, even on the little stains I don’t want to scrub myself.

Life is so much easier with a house training puppy when you have a Spot Bot! Anytime she has an accident on carpet I just use the spot bot to remove the stain right away and we don’t have any smell left behind! Easy to use and small for convenient storage. The soap well is a little small - a full well gets about 3 deep clean cycles. Still worth it tho!!

We received our Bissell Spotbot Pet last night and put it to work right away. Used it on 3 areas. One was an old food stain and 2 were dog urine. The Spotbot was very easy to set-up and even easier to operate. Our carpets are like new again! Very glad we bought it.

The suction at the end of the hose was borderline. Nothing like a real wet vacuum would have. The idea is good and it's pretty simple to set over a spot. However, I really wanted it to clean an area like steps and auto carpet. Because the hose suction was weak I returned the unit and will look for something more in line with what I would like to use it for.

With older dogs who have more accidents and have a hard time getting outside in Minnesota winters the SpotBot pet has been great for us. The Bissell SpotBot Pet works great. It was easy to set up & use. It cleaned all the spots and eliminated any odor. We wish we would of gotten one earlier.

This thing is easy to use on my truck. Got out stubborn stain under seat easy with no hassle. I wish it would have a bigger compartment for solution, but won't knock it either. I had to fill it 3 times (for my truck front and back seats plus flooring in both) Could not believe how much dirt it pulled out of carpet.

Picked this up because we've got a cat that thinks that all plants are salad bars. She eats them, then gets sick on the carpet (always the carpet, never the tile...) At first I figured for the price, I'd just be happy if it removed fresh stains. I was crazy surprised to find that this little machine cleans with the best of them. The carpet near the garage door has been stained for quite some time (because I've yet to learn to wipe my feet when I come in). Nevertheless, I used this machine to clean up a cat mess near the door and the following day was blown away by the fact that I had a perfect circle of brand new looking carpet there! I had even used a rug doctor in that spot a few months prior and had given up all hope! This is a must have for anyone with pets, kids or a bad habit of spilling drinks on the floor!

We got 2 puppies and this is a carpet saver for me. Easy to use and does a good job on the accidents. My only issue is after done the spot bot has a little dripping after it is shut off. I pkaced a small rubber mat under it to catch the drips.

My only regret is that I've had to use it too often, darn cats with sensitive stomachs! Originally I had a very small handheld, battery operated cleaner which I loved because it was very easy to get out and very convenient but the batteries have a limited life and I've gone through two so I decided that I should go with this corded option. It is still relatively compact and easy to get out when I need to spot clean. It is very easy to switch between the hose and the spot option and I do enjoy that I can use the spot option and walk away and most importantly It does a great job at getting out spots.
