It does what it it bills itself to do... cleans sports. It seems to do a good job, even with old set in stains. It does take a while (about 10 min). I think that the product is good as is worth the purchase. Here are a couple of things to consider tho: 1. This is does not hit a big area, so if it's a big stain, you'll be doing it several times. 2. The area that is treated is usually very wet after all is done. I wish that it was drier. I usually have to put a towel over the area to soak up the excess water. 3. It is very loud (not to be unexpected). 4. Expect for it to take about 5-10 minutes to clean a spot. Even with all of that, I would buy the product again. We have old dogs that sometimes have accidents in the house and this beats pulling out the big steamvac for every stain.

I was looking for a light-weight, portable solution to cleaning small spots on my carpet that weren't worth the effort of dragging the full-sized steam cleaner upstairs. This product seemed to fit the bill, and according to the specifications page was even cordless. Before purchasing, I read a previous review regarding this product leaving 'crop circles' in the carpet. The reviewer attributed this damage to using a non-manufacturer provided cleaning solution which may have contained a bit of bleach. I thought I would not have a problem like this... I purchased this carpet specifically because the color was embedded into the fibers and could be cleaned with bleach. I have spot cleaned the carpet with bleach on a number of occasions with no damage. Despite using only the standard cleaning sample provided with the product #not even using the "oxy-gen" cleaning booster solution also provided#, this Spot Bot was able to accomplish what a scrubbing with pure bleach had been unable to do: totally destroy the carpet. I believe the basic design flaw is in having the Spot Bot sit on a single location of carpet without moving, spinning brushes for several minutes on the same spot until the carpet is worn down. Anyway, I'm returning the product today, and will never use this again. I guess it's back to the full-size Hoover steam cleaner. Hope it takes out the 'crop circles'. And one more thing... despite the 'cordless' indication on the specification page, this product is indeed CORDED.

It was easy to use and spot cleaned what I needed done. The only issue is that it cleaned it so well, that you see the clean spot and it was dirtier around it. Lol now we are in for project rug cleaning!

Only con is that it's a bit loud. Otherwise, it works great! Use it to clean the cushions and pillows on my couches.

We had a previous model of this for many years and when it finally broke we neglected to purchase a new one. We finally came to our senses an bought this one as we missed the convenience so much! As I said, overall this is a great product but there are a few small things that keep it from 5 stars. The hose for the attachement is very tightly wrapped around the base of this unit. We feel that the unnecessary strain was what eventually led to our previous unit breaking. The could have easily made the hose a little longer to give it some slack and provided a clip to keep it from moving. For cleaning, it does a fairly good job, especially considering you get to set it down and walk away. Larger messes need multiple treatments with an overlapping pattern but not a big deal. I would recommend using the hose attachment on the cleaned circle to suck up the remaining water as it always leaves some behind. I imagine it just can't create enough suction with an 8" area to get it all. You will also minimize the obvious circle left behind, depending on the type of carpet you have. Low pile won't be effected that much I imagine. Anyway, don't hesitate to get one of these if you have a lot of small messes to clean up from pets or kids! We use ours all the time and can easily live with any shortcomings for the added convenience. Oh, it is also nice and portable so you are hauling a massive carpet cleaner out to clean up a tiny mess.

This is an easy review because it's one of the best gadgets I have purchased in a while. I have 3 cats which like to leave hair balls on my carpets and as any cat owner can tell you, they can be hard to clean up. The Bissell SpotBot Pet Cleaner is an amazing machine that takes the work out of cleaning. All you have to do is fill up the water tank with the Bissell cleaning solution and water and than set the circular brush down directly on top of the spot that needs cleaned. You hit the button to start the cleaning and the SpotBot does the rest! It's awesome! I walk away for 5 minutes and come back when you hear the beeps that it is done. Also, it has a hose for spot cleaning areas. I cleaned the fabric on my kitchen chairs and they look great. This is a must buy item for any pet owner and I highly recommend them as gifts. I just bought one for my mom who has a cat and 3 dogs so I know she will appreciate how great it is too.

I have a very old dog who has accidents before he can make it out the door. I had to use a carpet cleaner to wash my floors twice a week. Now I just place it on the spot and turn it on. So easy. 2 points though. 1. It does leave excess solution on the floor after its done. But that is easily fixed with the attached hose. And 2. I wish the cleaning head was just slightly bigger. Other than that the house never smelled better and I don't have to spend hours cleanding the floors.

I had couple deep stains due to my dog. Purchased it for emergency spot stains. Does the job. Easy to use. Room smells fresh.

Reluctant how this "automatic" cleaner would work. Tried it on about three different spots. Cleaned them right up. Even tried it on a spot that had been on the carpet since we bought the house. Surprisingly it significantly reduced the stain. Only thing is that it will leave a brighter/cleaner circle compare to the floor surface around it. Haven't had it long enough to speak to durability but works good now. Would recommend.

This is our second unit. The older unit was about two years old but we're replacing because I'd been using baking soda to clean with and it was starting to cake on the suction hose and I think it might have been taking its toll on the inner machinery as well. Both the old and the new unit have done their job at cleaning up pet spots well, otherwise we wouldn't be buying the same unit again. Two recommendations I have: 1) Clean it regularly, both the waste tank and the unit itself, as suggested in the manual and online videos. Don't let waste water sit in the tank without emptying right after use, or it could cake inside the waste tank without being able to easily be removed. 2) If you use baking soda instead of the premade cleaning formulas to clean the carpet, make sure you don't use too much, and it will be a must to clean the hose/unit regularly or the baking soda will start to cake on the inside of the hose.

This spot cleaner makes cleaning up after our cats much easier. We have one cat that vomits at least twice a week and cleaning up after her was not a fun task. This does not make it fun, but makes it much easier, just set it up and let it go. Come back and you may need to move it to clean a larger area, but other than set up and clean up it takes care of the rest. Well designed product that works exactly as it should.

This cleaner is so easy to use and really does the job. I wish I had bought it sooner.

very nice. had an older version of this but stopped working after more than 6 years of use. needed a reliable one because we have a new puppy then that we started toilet training and will have accidents inside every now and then. this thing managed all the job. cleans thoroughly and no residual smell or stain afterwards

I purchased this cleaner a week ago and my wife and I absolutely love it. You literally fill up the solution tank, set it on the spot, push a button, and walk away. In about 3 to 6 minutes (depending on the cycle), your spot is GONE. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars is because the spot is stays damp when the cycle is done. But this is easily solved by spending an extra 20 seconds using the hose to suck up the excess water. This is definitely worth the money. It is also pretty loud for such a little machine, but the noise only lasts for a few minutes, so that doesn't bother me. Overall, a very good purchase for those with pets. Which is why we purchased it.

Have a young grand child and two dauschunds so this gets a lot of use at our house. It works great. The six minute cleaning cycles are quick but very effective. There has not been a spill or spit that the Spotbot Pet has not been able to remove. Excellent machine.
