This movie was pretty good all an all, in my opinion. Better than the several remakes that have been made after it. It has a decent amount of pop scares to it. Pretty interesting and entertaining storyline to it.

Best holiday slasher film. One of my favorites, and one of the few slashers that is unsettling.

I first discovered black christmas the last 90s early 2000s at a local video store and after the ending it stayed with me for awhile. it was that chilling. since i have owned a few copies here and there, even met actor Keir Dullea who played Olivia Hussey's boyfriend peter. nice guy. but when i heard it was coming to blu ray i had to buy it. the late Bob Clark (A Christmas Story, Porky's) directed this atmospheric candian chiller and features a great cast that went on to become famous in their own right. Keir dullea was already well known for 2001 a space odesy, olivia hussey had done romeo and juliette, margot kidder went on to play lois lane in the original superman movies, and andrea martin became a comedian and starred on the candian sketch comedy show SCTV with eugeen levy, john candy, catherine o hare and more. the film builds the suspense very slowly but from the very start your already sucked in. theres some great comedic moments and some very dark moments but the film never strays from its core. the ending is very powerful and chilling as i said and is a must watch for anyone interested in seeing a christmas movie with a scary dark theme.

Black Christmas is a well written story that's well written

The first time I watched this movie years ago, I had no clue what the movie was about. I was amazed at the quality of the scariness of the movie, it had me on edge until the very end. Years later I noticed a lot of firsts while watching this 1974 movie. It is so well done and the characters are likable, I make watching this movie a tradition in my family. Excellent transfer from the Blu-Ray released years ago.

Beautiful restoration, and full of features. Scream Factory has done a brilliant job as they often do. The movie truly was a game changer in the 70's, and was almost ahead of its time and too shocking to be appreciated. Cult status and re-emergence of vintage horror has done this title well.

Black Christmas is one of the best horror movies to come out. This movie changed how horror movies were filmed and does not follow the standard horror movie plot. This blu-ray release is the highest quality version I have seen. The bonus content is worth the purchase alone, if you already own it.

The proto slasher, and The inspiration for John Carpenter’s Halloween. An amazing example of holiday horror from the man who brought you A Christmas Story. What more is there to say?

This is a lesser known slasher classic, but it doesn't really like a slasher. More like a a thriller/suspense type thing but it's great. It also has one of the best jump scares I've ever seen. It's up there with Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Scream factory always has some great new artwork and includes the original on the reverse of the sleeve of you prefer. They include some great extras and the transfers always look great! Awesome for movie collectors!

This is the best version of the movie you could buy currently, and pretty cheap considering all the special features added. Very happy with the purchase.

This is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies that's also a great slasher. The funny thing is Bob Clark directed A Christmas Story and this and they're both 2 of my favorites.

One of the biggest horror films as the years go on. Paved the way for Halloween and all the slashers of the 80s. Plus, it's loaded with bonus features!

package arrived safe and sound really excited to watch the original in the highest picture quality and the extra looks great!

A Christmas horror classic that doesn't get the respect it deserves. The blu-ray is a great addition to any holiday horror collection.

It is amazing to see this and realize just how influential it has been on the horror genre. This is one of the best slasher films EVER.
