I bought this product to replace its predecessor equivalent. The old one was a bit smaller, and sat upright in a charging dock when not in use, requiring less counter space. This hand-held vacuum has no dock, is one piece, and must be plugged in when not in use to maintain power. It is only stable on a countertop when horizontal, and therefore takes up about twice as much space on the counter. It is also bigger and heavier than the previous model, which performed VERY well for about six or seven years. Still, I really prefer the power and suction of this 18V product compared to other hand-held models. What's the point of spending $50 or more (or less, for that matter) if the mini-vac doesn't suck up dog hair, crumbs, and whatever plant material the dog brings in?

We have used other handheld vacuum cleaners last few years but the common problem was battery life was short. After four five minutes, the juice ran out. This time we saw this and gave it a try. The sucking power is strong and the battery last way longer than that of the devil brand. We have used last two months and so far so great. The only drawback is it is somewhat heavier than the other handheld cleaner.

The cordless had held vacuume works fine for the last few months so far. It has good suction. Works fine on most spot cleaning. Picks up all the long hairs from my 3 girls. I know this cus I'm pulling out a good size fur ball every other use. It does not tangle up in anything which is a plus. The down size is probably the noise. It's quite loud. I would probably say it's as our as a regular size vacuume. Probably due to the plastic resonator chamber/trash collector compartment. Another issue is the battery. Because it has a standard rechargeable lead battery. It will last only about a one time use per charge. But it does make up for in convenience and portability. We haven't use the larger vacuume as often. And this thing fits under the kitchen cabinet. The price point is right. If you don't want to spend 100+ dollar on a fancy lithium ion hand vacuume.

This is a powerful little handvac and the nozzle can turn to 4 or 5 different angles. Easy to empty, holds a charge a long time (not sure HOW long just yet). Only con is that it's a bit heavy for such a small device.

This vacuum has great suction. It is very handy to carry around the house. Good for tight spaces and small issues. Good for the stairs but a little heavy I will buy again and recommend to my friends.

Great suction. I own 5 other hand vacs and this one is the strongest. Battery doesn't last long. About 5 minutes of continuous from a full charge. I use it to vacuum up sand from cars I rent out. I start with another vacuum to pick up as much as they can and finish up with this one. If it had more battery life I wouldn't have to bring along 2 vacs but it is what it is. Can't have excellent battery life and superior suction together.

Very good suction. I especially like the pivoting nozzle for getting at high shelves and such. The flip-up brush tool is another useful option. Quick clean function(emptying dust container) is easily done, but deep cleaning filters could be less tedious. My overall impression is that this is a very handy tool for household and car.

Has very good suction power for its size & good battery life. While this portable hand vac doesn't compare to a Dyson portable hand vac in performance & overall function, it is also about 1/4 the price. For most uses it is very effective and Best Buy had the best price, even compared to Amazon! Highly recommended.

I like this hand vac for its power and size. The item works great on stairs, under cabinets, and in the car. My only gripe is the size of the container. It requires frequent changing if you have pets because the hair fills up fast. We have short-haired animals and it still fills up quick.

This is the most powerful hand vacuum that I've used. It is priced slightly higher than other, less powerful vacuums, but well below it's also powerful British competition. The only drawback is that it should be completely emptied after each use, requiring a little effort to get lint compressed by the suction.

I bought this thinking that it would be a handy quick clean unit vs having to pull out the vacuum all the time..... Pro, cordless, easy to use, light weight Con Short lived battery, not as powerful as i expected...looses suction when being used, have to clean out the filter often to keep up suction, can not use the flip down brush when extended..... I thought dust busters would have come a lot further along by 2014 I do use it......but as an example....the battery life won't last long enough to clean my whole vehicle..... Now all i do use it for is to vacuum up cat hair one couch s where my cat sleeps.....kinda expensive for only one purpose...

I have previously owned dyson hand vacs, and when I saw the deal on this hoover, I thought to give it a chance considering the price. The performance has been more than satisfactory and the operation of the vacuum is both convenient and effective.

We bought this vacuum for our small 1 bedroom apartment in which our cats track litter all over the place from their litter box in our bathroom. I like that it is cordless, the size is nice, a little awkward to fit into some corners, but works well for the most part. The suction seems to be quite good. I like that there is a brush feature and a pull out lengthener for those hard to get spots I mentioned. My only complaint about this vacuum is that it seems to die rather quickly. For that reason, I do wish I had purchased the lithium powered version of this vacuum, but it was not available in stores and we were desperate for one the same day. The price we pay for convenience, I suppose...

Many hand vacs are just weak, not this one. I based my purchase on the reviews which were mainly positive. It lives up to the expectations. The vacuum has great suctioning power and the pivoting allows to get many hard to reach areas. There is also the ability to extend out the nozzle a more narrow one for tight spaces. A brush is attached and if you want to use it you flip it from under the nozzle into place. You never have to worry about losing that brush do thats pretty convenient. I use it for cleaning out our two cars, the carpet and upholstery and the battery lasts two trips. Overall i am very impressed.

I like the vacuum. It's easy to operate, has an attached brush which can be rotated out of the way, folds up to smaller size. I like the way the power cord plugs into the vacuum rather than having to fit it into a charger. Right now I just have it on the floor in the dining room where it's handy to reach. So far it's great.

I have bought this model before. It has a very strong suction and its quite durable. The only drawback is learning how to remove the filter. It'll take you a bit to figure it out , even with instructions! Nevertheless, I would recommend this model.

Excellent portable vacuum. Great for cleaning up messes from the little ones. Don't expect it to last for hours on one charge. I have to remind myself to charge it after each use. I have used this in the car as well. Super convenient and great suction.

this is quite heavy for someone with a sore wrist/hand but works very well and cleans satisfactorilly. A little bit complicated to empty but just sttudy the manual or call the number in the manual for operator assistance. The charging light comes on often but remains with good power.

I picked this vacuum up to use in my car to get to those hard-to-reach places underneath my seats. It packs a lot of power and is easy to clean out when you're done. You can also adjust the angle, depending on what spot you are needing to vacuum.

This is my second vacuum. I have one for each house. It has a lot of power, and is very easy to use. Great if you have kids and or a lot of hair that's everywhere. Great for cleaning up pet hair as well. Cleans my car mats in minutes!
