Great vacuum for pet hair. Only con is short battery life.

This vacuum works really well to pick up dust and pet fur. The only issue is cleaning the filter is kind of annoying. You have to take it apart and wash it to get it thoroughly cleaned, and then you have to dry it.

Works well and easy to vacuum small carpets and sofa..

Got a refund after second unit’s beater bar failed. Poor design allows bearing in beater bar drive train to overheat and render the attachment nonfunctional. Given that two units both failed, I conclude it is a design flaw. Too bad because the vacuum is really powerful, but without the beater bar, you can’t get pet hair off of couch pillows, etc.

Great vacuum for the little messes (pet and human) around the house. Originally was kinda put off by the scented dust cup, but now it’s kinda nice to have the house smell like clean linen for a bit cause we cleaned up a little spill.. Awesome vacuum for cleaning the fur off our cat tree too.

I purchased this to keep cat hair off of my couch. First off, this thing is LOUD! Slightly louder than my shark rotator lift away. That would of been fine if it worked better for me. I noticed the brush roller more swept the cat hair instead of picking it up. So it swept the cat hair to a pile, the direction I was running the vacuum, still leaving behind small amounts of hair behind. It became more work than it was worth. So it was returned.

I'm giving 5 stars because it is a really good vac. However, I did have to return it because the brush attachment quit working. I returned it and got another, I'm hoping it doesn't happen again because I really like this for my couch and stairs.

It does everything it promotes. Just be aware of the fact that it builds up a lot of static which clinged to the machine.

bought it for quick access to clean and vacuum my pet's fur. Do not love the attachment though, it doesnt pick up as well as just the vacuum

My wife wanted a handheld vac to take the place of a regular vacuum using the hose and extensions. This unit does the job and eliminates having to pull out a regular vac, much more convenient.

It is a hand Vac, and has plenty of power even at low speed. Your canister Vac will be more powerful of course. Its small, lighter weight than I expected. I get 20 minutes of full (high speed) power out of a charge. The initial opening of latches were sticky, but they freed up nicely after a couple uses. There is a release button that needs to be pushed. The built in extension is just long enough for floor use in a pinch, but as others mentioned, it will push in if force is applied. The dust cup is small, but similar to others, and debris will fall out the inlet if you spin it around unpowered. But debris is held secure otherwise. The vacuum is easy to open up and dump out as the dust cup drops off the housing if you hold the vacuum sideways. The filter is washable and and an extra one is included. I like the way the brush bar is easy to remove for cleaning. It does like to pick up threads. For some reason, the rotating brush attachment has to be removed to charge. The effectiveness on furniture seems to vary with upholstery type. On suede type fabrics, streaks of fur seem to be left behind. Works well on microfiber and berber carpet. The HHVJ325JMP model sold by BestBuy does not include a charging base like the HHVJ325BMP model sold elsewhere for about $10 more. The charging base is listed on the Black and Decker parts store but its status is currently not available. You also can’t warranty register the BestBuy vacuum on line like the other model. Its noisy, but not as noisy as others and the noise doesn’t seem to be irritating. Our cats aren’t bothered by it.

I have two handheld vacuums, one is Shark Wandvac and second one is Black+Decker, but I think SMARTECH is better.I am happy with both, one for car , one for home.

Bought this to help clean up dog hair from car and other small jobs...I have a German Shepherd and all this does is clump the hair together on the back of the vacuum. Picks up other dirt and small debris without any issues though.
