Whether or not this is the best film Marvel Studios has made to date-and it is clearly in the discussion-it is by far the most thought-provoking. When it comes to creative visuals, engaging action and likable characters, "Black Panther" stands confidently next to the best fare offered up by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jordan has swagger to spare, with those rolling shoulders, but there's a breath of charm, too, all the more seductive in the overblown atmosphere of Marvel. He's twice as pantherish as the Panther.

Finally found this DVD after looking two years. In the meantime, our favorite place for purchasing DVDs closed their department. It has been difficult to find DVDs these days. Hoping BB comes back with DVD availability again.

I still hold up Endgame as my favorite Marvel movie, but Black Panther is pretty high up on the list as well. The plot Is a bit dull in premise (how many times have we seen a young prince trying to figure out his place as a man and a king in the wake of his cherished parent(s) passing on?) and I would definitely have preferred T'Challa in a noir mystery type movie, but this is still an excellent film for what they chose to go for. Drama, action, tragedy, some comedy and gorgeous set pieces. BUY IT!

Coming fresh off the events happening in Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa must now return back to his country to deal with taking his father’s place as king and dealing with a secret that affects his ascendance to the throne. Chadwick Boseman plays up the main character very well and the rest of the cast are exceptional with their roles as well. Lots of great suspense and action throughout will make you cheer and mourn at the same time. Recommended.

Long time I have waited to watch this in 4k and it did not disappoint. I have watched this movie twice on Netflix and I enjoyed it. I went to Bestbuy yesterday and found there is a price drop so I grabbed a copy. Picture quality is outstanding using DOLBY VISION but the sound is a let down. Even it is mastered in DOLBY ATMOS, I found the mix was a little soft that I need to crank to volume to make it more immersive. But overall, great product.

I really have to agree with some other reviewers in stating that this is a good movie, but not deserving of the level of acclaim it has received. I thought the first part of the movie was excellent, with significant character and thematic development. The latter part of the movie, however, especially the climactic one-on-one battle, is just a CGI-fest that's not even particularly well done. I'm a huge Marvel fan and recognize that some elements of these stories require CGI but I wish realism were a higher priority. Also, when it comes to hand-to-hand combat scenes, I much prefer skilled stunt work to computer programming. That being said, this was/is an important movie in cultural terms, even if I feel that much of the good press was more influenced by politics than the merits of the movie itself.

This is an incredible movie. Not just the story line of another super hero, but a family that I've had but not seen on the big screen. A family that took generations to create, and a joy to experience.

Another great installment by Disney/Marvel and a wonderful new step into superherodom for a misuser community. The strength lies in the hero and the villain. Chadwick Boseman returns as T’Challa and continues with the story of a young man, having lost his father, thrust into the throne and faced with major choices on how to lead. Michael B. Jordan truly shines as the multi-layered Eric Killmonger; a mercenary and freedom fighter with a dark past and dark vision to free the oppressed. The score, costume design, and production design are, by far, the best parts of this film. They feel vibrant, original, and alive. The visual effects have some issues at times (especially at the end), and the film, like so many Marvel films before it, puts a nice bow on the ending (which feels too easy). Overall, though - this is a film not to miss!

Black Panther was such an awesome movie! I was smiling after I left the theater and I didn't even realize that I was actually smiling because of this movie. It was entertaining yet therapeutic. I enjoyed this film so much that I purchased the Amazon video version, the regular dvd, and the blu-ray versions. I have watched this movie about six times already and I can still watch it over and over when I need a good smile :)!

Ten years in and Marvel Studios is still at the top of their game. This one-two punch (Infinity War would arrive a few months later) proved 2018 belonged to Marvel. Michael B. Jordan's villain was one of the most complex villains the Studio has ever put on the big screen and the movie was rightfully nominated for a number of Oscars (though admittedly Best Picture was a bit of a stretch). Take me back to Wakanda!

Every movie Marvel comes out with is better than previous one and The Black Panther is no exception. Excellent Steel Book. Love the movie from start to finish. Purchased additional copies for Christmas Gifts (along with CA:CW & A:IW for the entire Black Panther experience.) Only thing left to do is purchase 3D copies of BP and A:IW to complete my Marvel movie collection. I'm a Marvel (and Black Panther) fan for life.

Black Panther is still my favorite MCU film and is also one of my favorite CBMs. I really love everything about Black Panther. The story, the acting, the cinematography, the costume design, production design, visual effects, the score and everything else. The score is probably my favorite thing about the film. Ludwig Göransson did an amazing job. It's actually my favorite MCU score as well!

This movie was great! It was very well done, both the story and special affects. I love the way they tied it all in with the other Marvel story lines. The introduction of Black Panther in this movie was fantastic. Actors, producers, director, etc. did a marvelous job. Also, the picture quality of seeing this on 4K made it all the better. It was like watching it on the big screen.

Let me say this off the bat: Micheal B. Jordan's Erik Kilmonger is the best villain that Marvel has had in its films. Strong personal motivations with a clear goal and a powerhouse performance. Great performances all around, in fact. My main gripe is with some glaring plot holes that I feel are being shrugged off because people so badly want this to be the greatest comic book movie ever made. For example, I don't see any justification for a Golden Globe Best Picture Drama Nomination. Also, some of the plot points were very predictable, which would be fine if they didn't treat each twist like a revelation of storytelling. That being said, it is at the higher echelons of the MCU and Marvel fans will not be disappointed.

The steel book presents a very creative take as far as the cover art goes, that differ substantially from what marvel has released before. Overall, the special features are in keeping with what has been previously released with other additions, and while this film is certainly not bad, I’m not quite sure what all the hype is about, still, I would highly recommend it for any completist.

Love action movies and this doesn't disappoint at all. I like to purchase movies so I can rewatch on my own time and not when only available to stream.

This was a must have for My movie collection. The villain in the movie almost steals the show and makes you wonder if you can root for the other side due to the motives and back story (minus the violence). Either way a very well scripted story that highlights the plight of the broken home and separated people. It’s deep where it counts and light when needed.

When Black Panther dropped into our viewing conscience in Capt America: Civil War, I was anxious to see him again. The Black Panther movie did not disappoint. It was a superhero movie and so much more. It was a thriller, a mystery, action adventure and fantasy all rolled into one. And the costumes were truly Oscar award worthy. A definite recommend.

I enjoyed this movie very much! I like seeing how the people developed their style of protecting their interests and history. Despite being named after a political group, the movie has nothing to do with them. I was apprehensive at first, but very glad I gave it a chance. I even bought some of the Lego merchandise that went with this movie :)

Anyone who knows the character from Marvel Comics knows what kind of action to expect. But the level of design in the background, the machinery, and the clothes shows a level of forethought not usually seen in aciton-adventure fare. Plus, the message Ryan Coogler puts in the film about family and responsibility cut me even deeper. Well done all around.
