I have been a BlackBerry/Palm user from way back before the iPhone was really a thing. I was hooked on the flashing LED on BlackBerries that told you, without waking up the phone, whether you had anything come in to look at. I left the hardware keyboard market after the BlackBerry Q10 because there really weren't any other alternatives until I saw this phone at Best Buy. I was never happy with an iPhone, never could get used to the keyboard (no matter which third party keyboard I tried, they were all frustrating to me). I was immediately drawn in by that keyboard on the Key2 LE. It's straight like the Q10 keyboard, but still just as good as you remember. The phone is slim, lightweight, and grippy. No case necessary to keep from dropping it. Pretty much the opposite of many modern phones. I looked at the phone and played around with it for probably 10 minutes, loving every minute. I didn't buy the first day, wasn't sure I wanted to switch to Android, and didn't want to spend the money at the time. I did some research online and saw that people were criticizing the camera and the small screen, among other things. Waiting. When I went back to Best Buy a few weeks later, the phone was on sale so I bought. I have found that the camera is every bit as good as my iPhone SE's camera, maybe even a little bit better. Sure it isn't as good as an iPhone Xs camera, but this phone also doesn't cost over a thousand dollars. I hold a Photography bachelor's and I am more than satisfied with this camera. Yeah the screen is small but it isn't really much smaller than many other phones when you consider that with most phones, you lose a huge portion of the screen once you open the keyboard. That never happens with the Key2 LE. However, if you're in Landscape and tap on a text field an onscreen keyboard will pop up. The Hub is a lot like the Q10's - it loads all your emails and texts, and notifications from other apps into one panel. You can sort, search, and dismiss notifications from the Hub and bring it up with a keyboard hotkey. This is the first phone since the Q10 where I have set up both my personal and work emails because the Hub makes it so much easier to manage all the emails I get on a daily basis. There is also a slide-over panel that gives you quick access to your calendar, Hub, and widgets in an instant no matter which app you are on at the time. Every key on the keyboard can launch an app or action, like holding down W will call your wife. You'll find that once you set all this up, you rarely need to hit the home button ever again. I was worried about Android spying on me, but with DTEK (a built in app by Blackberry), I can see every time Google asks for my location, microphone, etc. It's a lot like a firewall app for your phone. You can even prevent Google from asking for your location period. Battery life has been great, it lasts all day easily and I could probably get by with only charging every other day if I wanted to. I haven't had any issues with the phone slowing down or getting hot. It's been crazy reliable. Any downsides? None so far for me. As I use it more over the coming months, I might find some things that nag me but so far I'm very happy.

This is my first blackberry. I bought this for two reasons: 1. Miss the gold old days of small screens and physical keyboards like on my Droid and palm treos, and 2. I wanted better battery life than my pixel 2. No regrets on either two points, plus the bonus of several convenience features perfect for my lifestyle. pros: -battery life is great on verizon's LTE only bands. What a difference no CDMA bands makes. -screen, although smaller, is plenty usable and great. Even compared to my Pixel 2. -speed after removing most of the blackberry software except for DTEK, privacy shade, and power center is awesome. Also had to adjust some of erroneous warnings (YouTube this) -Convenience key programming is awesome, and the button doubles as a mute switch for calls. Great for conference calls in the city or while traveling. -The launcher is fantastic. I kept it installed even though I'm normally a stock/Nova kind of person. cons: -camera is not bad, but it is no Pixel. I'm able to capture good pictures of my kids and whiteboards, but I miss my pixel. Thought this would be a deal breaker, but the camera is not that bad. -Software that came with the device was hurting memory usage and performance. I disabled and Uninstaller what I could and now the phone screams with dev options .5 seconds enabled. Replace all utilities with Google's version of the same software and all is well.

I received this phone a few days ago and so far I'm really liking it. The physical keyboard brings back good old memories, it took me just a day to get used to it again; I also find it more accurate and precise than touch screen keyboards. The screen is big enough for me; watching videos it's not a problem and the keyboard is not in the way at all. The camera is what it is; not great but not bad either. If taking really good pictures with a phone is one of your main interests, I probably wouldn't recommend this specific phone. It does what I need though so personally I don't mind it! Fingerprint, speed-key, face recognition, dual sim, privacy shade = great features. Affordable price? Yes, please. Battery life is impressive so far. I've been using the phone all day, making phone calls, using wifi and data, watching videos, listening to music and it still hasn't died yet. Still waiting on a good case, it's probably just a matter of weeks... there should be more available soon in the US (KEY2 cases won't fit the KEY2 LE very well). So overall great BlackBerry! I am happy with my purchase; this phone has everything I need and I would totally recommend it if you are a physical keyboard fan like me!

I waited to review this mobile until I had at least one month to really test it out. Let's see how #Glitchy this thing might be......My Verdict - I LOVE IT!!! Battery for me lasts 1 1/2 days. Seemlessly moves from app to application. I wanted a phone not a camera, and the pics and video's I have taken with this phone are just fine for my taste. The housing as a great hand feel and the phone itself feels very well made. More importantly I love the fact that it is a dual sim phone and I was able to ditch my two phones for this one - Why two phones - Work and Personal, and if you don't need that second line, well the other slot can be used to expand the memory. Great Call Quality, and the Speaker is also great. I appreciate the earphone jack and not having to have wireless headphones, because sometimes their batteries run out before I'm done. The keypad works for me, and I Love the BlackBerry Hub - I can see messages, my calendar, email's etc. Allows me to be much more productive, as I am not searching all over the place for information which is right at my fingertips. I thought it would take me a while to transition, but Nope the phone is easy and intuitive. Finally it is a very secure phone with the DTEK built in running security scans. Like I said - My Verdict - I LOVE MY NEW BLACKBERRY - So much so I went back and bought one for my Partner.

This is an excellent phone! I am very happy with the purchase. First of all, the slate looks spectacular and the phone feels very good in the hands. It is not too heavy, nor too light. The physical keyboard is great. It is very responsive and tactile. The speed key is one of the best features about this phone. The phone is nice and speedy with little to no bloatware. Some people love the pre-installed Blackberry software, but I can do without. I love that there is a 3.5mm headphone jack! 64GB of storage is plenty but I've added a 128GB MicroSD card anyway. I'm pretty happy with the camera. Lot's of negative reviews said about the camera, but it works well enough for me! The battery life is also great. It was fully charged by 3PM yesterday. I have used it quite a bit with wifi, bluetooth, playing music, a 1 hour long phone call, several text messages and some video. It is now 9:30AM the next day and i have 31% with approximately 8 hours left. One con for me is that it is not IP66 rated, but it is understandable with the physical keyboard. Overall, I am very happy with the device and highly recommend it for anyone looking for something a bit out of the norm.

I had the KeyOne, Key2 and now the Key2 LE. The KeyOne was a terrible phone alround. The signal strength was poor. The phone had too many glitches and lagged alot. The Key2 had many minor glitches and signal strength was not the best for the MetroPCS Carrier. I was hesitant to get the LE because of the lack of signal strength from previous models and overall unpleasant experience. However, for the price of $449, I was intrigued to test it out. After a week of solid use, my everyday driver, I'm happy to report that the Key2 LE has improved. I get strong signal strength. No lags. No hiccups. Battery is great. Lasts all day. Phone is solid. I didn't think I would stay with the phone, I just wanted to tested and review it. But now, I don't want to get rid of it. It's just amazing! So, I highly recommend the LE model. You won't be disappointed. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars is because this phone does not support WiFi calling. If it had WiFi calling then it'll be a 5 star!

    Hard keyboard, better apps rule

The BlackBerry Key2 maintains my favorite aspects of my previous BlackBerry Q10 -- the hard keyboard and outstanding email management -- while significantly improving two big Q10 drawbacks -- terrible apps and a small screen. The Key2 operates on the Android system, giving me access to any app I want. It also has a much bigger screen that provides significantly improved clarity when I read and respond to email and visit websites. The BlackBerry Hub cannot be beat for email management. Also, BlackBerry has the most underrated mobile-phone camera, and the Key2 camera is first-rate. My only worry is whether the Key2 will have enough memory for all the apps to which I now have access. Finally, the BlackBerry Key2 may not be on display at the BestBuy where you usually shop. But it may be in inventory. Ask for it by name.

Bought this sexy Atomic Red Key2 LE just before Xmas and I am totally loving it. The phone feels very good in the hand. Weight balance is great. Grippy back......and the Keyboard! Wow! So nice to type on a PKB again. Also, the keyboard shortcuts and speed key make multitasking a breeze. There is nothing about this phone that I do not like. I thought the screen size would bother me, but I actually never even think about it. Now to be fair, I do not really watch movies, play games, or snap selfies all day long, although it can certainly do those things, it's just not my typical daily use. My phone is primarily a communication device and work assistant. So if, like me, you need a highly functional work device that can also handle most media sufficiently, I highly recommend a Blackberry Key2 LE. The perfect phone if you appreciate a modern, Android experience combined with a real, physical keyboard and strong security.

Having moved from a Blackberry Q10 to a DTEK60, I didn't realize how much I missed a physical keyboard until I recently picked up the Key2 LE. My typing is much more efficient, and there is no more searching for icons to launch the app I need. Battery life is excellent (2 full days) even though it is only a 3000 mAH battery as it has a slower (but fast enough) processor as compared to the Key2. If you are looking for a smaller form factor phone that is primarily for communications, scheduling, etc. along with running some of your favorite Android apps, then this might be the phone for you. If you are heavy into the multimedia experience or looking for a camera replacement I would look elsewhere.

Finally back to a secure professional phone adapted for serious business! Perfect balance of work life and social media on an Android device. The Reception is amazing over my AT&T network and phone calls & speaker phone are crisp and clear. The Blackberry HUB is unmatched keeping all my emails, SMS and social media accounts/notifications in one place. Excited to have the personal keyboard back!!! Love the new shortcut keys to go back and forth between apps so quickly. App cloning is also amazing to keep my business and personal social media accounts separate. Camera seems like it takes great photos, but still testing. Definitely a change from the all glass phones! Its a peppy device!

I have used Blackberry's for over a decade. This is the worst BB phone ever made. Don't waste your money. I wanted to give it some time to get used to it. But the final straw was when I was at a concert, front row center, probably 15 feet from the performer, and I could not get a clear picture of the performer. Decided to take a video. Poor quality as well and the sound was completely muffled because the bass from the show was overpowering the phone's capabilities. GF's iPhone pics and video were fine. Also, when I received the phone, almost half of the RAM was already used. I added just a handful of apps and now I'm getting a low memory notice. And the battery capacity is not impressive. And finally, the keyboard, the reason that made BB famous, sucks!!!! Worst part is now I can't return this total piece of junk.

I’ve been using BB for the past 7 years. It’s been tough because I had to get a second phone line on my plan because I couldn’t get any apps on BB Classic. With the new Key2 LE I get industry best battery life, security, and access to all apps! I did find it hard to find a case for this phone. I find the phone itself to be very slick and slippery. The camera is only average. The phone doesn’t vibrate very hard so I find myself missing lots of calls and texts. I had no problems getting this phone to work perfectly on AT&T.

The front of the box says it is compatible with Verizon. Well, it partially is. The phone itself is great, but it is extremely disappointing that it says it works with Verizon, even though it doesn't. After spending several hours with a Verizon technician trying to troubleshoot why text messaging didn't work, he concluded that the device isn't fully compatible with the Verizon network. Very saddening, as this could have been a great phone.

It's been 5 years since I got my BlackBerry Z10 and I'm glad I waited for this Verizon-compatible phone. It's my first BlackBerry with a physical keyboard and it's very user friendly. But there's also a touchscreen keyboard, as well! Both have the great swipe up word predictions that BlackBerry does so well. The Key2 LE has all the BlackBerry Productivity Apps and this was the only Verizon-compatible Android phone that could transfer all my BlackBerry Calendar, Notes, Passwords, Contacts and etc. natively. The phone feels solid and well built. There is a learning curve but it's more familiar than not. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

My previous phone was a Blackberry Q5 - have been looking for a replacement for a while but do not like the digital (touch screen) keyboards of the other brands (Apple, Samsung LG etc). Previous versions of the BB Key 1 & 2 were very pricey however the price of LE version fell within the range of what I was willing to pay for a PHONE. I have had the phone for close to 1 month and am quite impressed with its performance. Backed with Blackberry's strong protection it is a solid phone for all users. I much prefer the user interface of this unit compared to the Samsung. Well worth considering before you spend on other brands.

It's beautiful, take my breath away when I open the box. I got the slate color and was worrying it looks plastic but it's not. The keyboard is blueish grey. The camera is good enough for scanning documents and I think it's better than the one on my previous iPhone SE. The only concerns is the RAM, you can't just leave apps open like you do with iPhone but in general it's fine with 5-6 apps working in the background. I really love this phone. I like the blinking light, and I miss the hub! I am happy with the purchase. It's perfect for someone who uses phones for emailing, editing documents.

Just got this phone and it is wonderful. I am replacing a Blackberry Classic. Phone works Perfect on Verizon. You need to talk with Verizon customer support to get it working 100%, and it took less than 10 minutes. You get a Blackberry because you know what you want. Don't buy a Blackberry for the 'best' camera, or try to compare it to an iPhone. It's not supposed to be an iPhone. Very excited to continue with the Blackberry brand :)

Overall this a a great phone. I used the phone for work and as my personal cell. No lag time like with my keyone which was the only reason I switched phone. I don't play games or watch videos. Too busy working and raising a family. If you are a diehard blackberry fan and you like to type on a keyboard I highly recommend this. AND yes this phone does work on the Verizon network. If anyone is telling you it doesn't they are wrong.

I have been with blackberry since 2014 and have been loyal since. I was so happy when I switch over to the PRIV with the android os... best decision ever made. Now this phone is the best of both worlds... keyboard of the Q10 bigger screen of the PRIV and of course the android os. This phone overall build is awesome! I do miss the swipe up feature of the PRIV keyboard, but with all the shortcuts this one provides... I'm good. The low speakers get to me some, but it's not that deep for me
