For years I had the stock camera strap that hangs awkwardly around your neck. It's fine for short amount of time, but when you plan on shooting for several hours, this BlackRapid strap is a must a have. If you're at an amusement park and plan to stay there all day and lug your dSLR, this is a lifesaver. It hangs out of your way by your hip and completely adjustable. It's sturdy and not once did I feel like the camera was insecure. The strap goes over your shoulder and is relatively comfortable. After eight consecutive hours of it dangling on my shoulder, it did start to hurt a little, so I switched shoulders. That would of (and has happened) a lot sooner with my old neck strap (to the point I had to constantly take it off my neck). This product is a great and inexpensive way to massively upgrade your stock strap for any dSLR. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a great camera strap. it was comfortable and easy to use.

I purchased this to use with my Nikon J1 and was not disappointed. Feels great over the shoulder and allows for quick access to camera for quick snaps. I used this when I was at a convention and had an easy time maneuvering the camera around to not get hit by any passerby. I definitely suggest getting this camera strap!

It's a wonderful way to carry the camera and keep it out of the way.

The black rapid Metro is the perfect strap for all around general use. I use it with a D600 with and without battery grip and it hangs just perfectly at my side, and i can grab it and shoot in less than a second - the slide design is really ingenious. Don't think I'll ever go back to a traditional strap.

easy on easy off. fast access just dont forget to adjust the stopper and let the camera hit below your belt else you will be sorry.

I've used this for walking around casually in cities and on trails in parks. I have to say this is very comfy and a huge step above the strap that comes with my camera (Canon EOS 80D). The shoulder pad is soft, even on bare skin. It is easy to put on your camera as it screws into the bottom where you would mount it to a tripod. The design also allows you to slide the camera up to take a quick picture effortlessly. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting an accessory that makes it easier to carry your camera around.

This strap is working out much better than expected. Very comfortable, easy to adjust, and stays in place. Added bonus is that I've recently started carrying two dslr bodies as I prefer to shoot with prime lenses and this strap allows me to carry both without any problems. One camera with the original strap and the other with the BlackRapid. Works like a charm. Am considering a second BlackRapid and wearing two in criss cross fashion. Only downside is when I want to use a monopod or tripod.

I love the versatility of this camera strap. It allows you to adjust where you would like your camera to hang while on the go. Then when you are ready to start shooting, just slide the camera on the strap to eyesight. Attachment of strap to camera feels very secure, with easy screw in to bottom. I would definitely recommend this strap to anyone who likes to take photos on the go!

I picked this item up quickly at the store hoping for a nice strap, it is nice for the price and good quality. I just did not like the only mounting option, which is from the bottom of the camera body. So the camera must hang upside down at all times. Not how I enjoy carrying a few thousand dollars worth of camera body and lens(es). I'm trendy, but this isn't my type of mounting preference. "To each his own"

only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that it needs something to keep the camera from hanging at a funny angle. all metal parts for attaching to tripod mount and strap.

I've used standard camera neck straps for years now and decided to invest in a better strap. While this strap does the job in making sure your camera is protected at all times, I just didn't find it comfortable enough to slide up and down to take quick shots. I may be in the minority, but I wasn't a fan of the strap using the tripod mount either, the camera would bump against my hips and I would always have to remove the strap in order to use a tripod.

I really thought this strap was going to be a great asset but for me, I could not adjust the strap to a length that worked for me. If not actually holding the camera body it seemed. A little out of control, like I might hit it on something
