This movie is awesome, even better on 4k. So glad I bought it.

This is one of the best 4K renderings of an old film I've ever seen. The colors and settings really pop, and the old film grain is preserved perfectly. The first couple of scenes alone will really draw you into the world. This is the Final Cut, the definitive director's version of one of the most influential science fiction films every made. Now realized in full 4K splendor.

I've owned this movie in several different formats starting with VHS video tape right through three versions of DVD. This new 4K & Blu-ray version is the best for picture and sound quality. My TV is a 12-year old plasma but my new DVD player and receiver are 4K. The picture, even on this older movie is gorgeous. The movie speaks for itself. In the opinion of myself and many, many others this is the best sci-fi movie of all time. The plot, characters, settings, costumes, lighting and music are simply superb. And as another reviewer said on another site, this movie is the only one where the weather is as much of a character as the actors. Great movie and this 4K edition is the best. One day my wonderful plasma TV will die and I'll buy a 4K one. I'm sure this great flick will look even better then.

Wow. The 4k transfer for Blade Runner is a stunner. You are probably like me and have owned this film on dvd and bluray. Why triple dip and buy it again? Because the 4k transfer is outstanding. My disc actually had a flaw in it so we could not watch the middle third of the film in 4k and had to switch to the bluray. So my entire family got to experience the difference between the two formats. I am the av nut in the family and was wowed by the 4k version... my oldest son was too. My wife and youngest son had not really commented. Until we had to switch to the bluray version in the middle. Then they got the difference. It was clear for all to see just how much better the 4k version was. One of the best 4k upgrades I have seen. I hate to triple dip but.... for this movie and this 4k transfer it is definitely worth it.
