    Great Camera for Basic Monitoring

First of all this camera was priced perfectly for what you get. I utilize this camera for our outside shed which houses some valuable items. It’s indoor and the way the camera works is when the motion is triggered it starts to record. So there is a 1-2 second delay. The IOS app works great and has lots of features. The only downside is if you get a notification and you go to the app to watch the live video it will not record at the same time. So be careful on that part. I would like to see an improvement on the activation speed and possibly let the camera record whenever viewing live. Overall this camera works great and if they could fix those miner things it would be a 5 star camera. Great video quality night/day

Easy to set up, I had it running in 7 minutes. App could be better but it works rather well. Camera was fine at zero degrees. Took a day or two to get the right settings. Range is not great but I didn't purchase it for it's range. I have it pointed at my front door so range is not a factor. What keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that the actual camera just snaps into the mounting frame which could allow someone to very easily steal it. I wish it at least mounted to the frame with a screw somehow. Obviously for the indoor version it would be fine. Overall I am impressed with this camera but I also had an issue with paying so much. I would have no problem if it were in the $80-90 price range.

A friend recommended these when I was having personal safety issues. I caught things that I had no idea were happening and used the videos in court to secure a protection order. I have 4 of these now and know that no one is coming near my house and if they are, I’m alerted immediately and I’ve got video evidence and identification. This is one of those things that you can actually install by following the directions and it’s pretty simple. They have decent picture quality and sound. You can change settings such as length of video, infrared, picture quality, sensitivity, and even areas of sensitivity. It even alerts you that the batteries are low. There’s also online support if you have a problem.

The reason I say that is because the cameras need a strong signal between the module that comes with the kit and your router. If your router is centrally situated where you want the cameras, you should be good to go. In my case I had to buy a wi-fi extender so I could put a camera on the side door of my house. That extra cost is why I subtracted one star.

I love the design & features of this device for the most part, but it constantly looses connectivity...I even moved it to within 10 feet of my wireless router and this happens. Have not tried to call Blink yet to try & resolve.

Bought this 3 pack camera for my vacation. I like that it is wireless with the option of using constant power but if you do use constant power then you lose the weatherproof ability. The cameras were bigger than what I thought they would be looking at the picture. The mounts that came with them are OK. Can't comment on battery life but at 720p, you get the estimated 2 years if you're not getting lots of motion. At 1080 it is less. Picture is good and clear. The IR is pretty bright washing out some of the picture at night. I lowered my setting. Installation and set up was easy and fast. Notifications are slow. They aren't sent until the video clip has stopped recording as opposed to being notified when it senses motion. Overall, I am pleased with them.

I purchased this devices to cover my screened in front entrance to my house. The entire operation, app download/set up/usage, connecting camera to wifi, camera set up, and mounting was very straight forward. The Blink developers have really made it easy for the end user. I wanted to capture video of everyone that entered my foyer. I thought, because the camera is directed at the screen door, that the motion sensor would not be able to detect motion through the screens, and would activate once the door was moved. To my surprise the camera picks up the motion of the person walking to the entrance, opening the screen door and entering the foyer. Perfect! Couldn't be better. The picture is clear both day and night. You can easily see, with clear detail, facial features and hear any noise or conversations. You are then notified by your phone app, usually within a second but occasionally 2 seconds, and sent the video of what is happening in front of the camera. Another nice feature is you can have multiple devices connected, like my wife and my phones, tablets, computers etc. and they all get the instant notifications. And then another nice feature is the free cloud service with set it up. Some competitors require a paid subscription to their cloud service. I'm really happy with this purchase and will be adding camera's to cover our pool area.

I chose this as my first system because it doesn't require any subscriptions, wireless, and the operating temp. At the time I was looking for cameras that would operate in very cold weather and this happen to be one of the top of not the top for operating at the coldest temp. It survive the Minnesota cold spell and did very well for it being battery operated. Price was another reason and I pick it up while it was on sale. Now for the wireless, yes its wireless power (battery operated) you can mount it anywhere. The kicker is that I have it on all time even when I'm home so it tiggers alot and plus I use live feed all the time. With that being said I've went from battery to usb power because I got sick of changing out the battery. Forgot to mention I'm still using this system and had it for a couple of yrs now. The only thing that annoys me is the delay of notification and the lack of unlimited time for the live view which they only give you 39sec before you having to press the continue prompt button. Otherwise solid video/nightvision captuers.

The Blink XT Cameras do what they are supposed to do. Easy setup, HD Video, Free cloud, and user friendly app. I picked these over Arlo because of the price difference although Arlo does have some features Blink does not. As with Arlo, Blink XT is a battery powered wireless camera that records when the camera detects motion. Setting the range and intensity of the motion sensor was simple and worked as expected. There have been some complaints about this but with some tweaking I was able get the kicks out of my setup. My problem with the cameras, more specifically the “system” is the delay between the time motion sensors activate recording and when I received the notification and was able to view the video. The time delays resulted in missing the activity captured on video or not capturing the subject due to not in view of the camera long enough. This problem also holds true with the Ring products. I have extremely fast internet and strong Wi-Fi so neither of these are the problem. I think these are good but for faster and more accurate surveillance cameras you still have to rely on wired cameras.

I have not had any other system to compare this too, so keep that in mind. The cameras work great during the day. Their motion detection is good, sometimes they've even picked up my chickens from about 20 feet away. They can see license plates from a similar distance too. The automatic notifications work great too. So far the batteries haven't run out, so that's good. And I have some very high frequency areas with 20+ recordings in a day. There are some good customization you can do in settings. You can do a live feed if you want. The night time isn't great. It does work, but it isn't perfect. Maybe look at some youtube videos for examples. Also, if the lens gets wet in a rain storm the image will be super blurry until you clean it or it dries off. Very easy to set up, audio is pretty good too.

Lithium batteries are long lasting and replaceable with AA lithium. They should last one to two years if you don't set it up for long clips. I like that it uploads clips to the cloud and notifies your cell phone when there is a motion that sets the camera into action. I also like the many helpful settings they have included to keep it simple. We had no problem following the instructions and had it up and running within an hour. You must have wi-fi within range of their main box (Sync Module) and each camera must be within range of that module. That module controls everything and you only need one for as many cameras as you want. The app is the best. You can control camera systems at other locations that have their own Sync Modules as long as those locations also have constant wi-fi. Your app will see the different Sync Modules and you can monitor multiple locations that way. You don't have to be wi-fi connected on your phone, but sometimes the motion clips you review will be slower to load without your phone getting good reception. The other thing I like is how I can adjust the sensitivity to eliminate pets roaming around. You can also set how long you want the clip to run and how long it takes to reset the motion detector. It will capture moving images with pretty good accuracy and detail and color in the daytime, and a blue light on the camera that will make night images be captured. If you have a light on in the vicinity of the camera, it will adjust to the lighting around it, so it is compatible with security lights you may have in play. It would be great if they would create some additional Blink products (owned by Amazon) that would allow you to have a Blink thermostat, garage door opener, door lock, alarm system, etc. that would be managed by the same app and sensor.

Quick from opening box to using the cameras. I don't have them permanently mounted yet but move them around the house frequently. The remote phone app (iOS for me) works well for alerting when motion is detected. If something moves in front of the cameras, it does a short recording and sends a notification to the app (phone and ipad can view). Live view is not instant and requires you to "turn on" the view remotely. I would give this a 5 if I could see my cameras from a web browser instead of my phone. I like that you don't need to use wires. The cameras are ready to use micro USB if you want to permanently power them but the batteries work fine. I don't use live view very much so I think the batteries will last as long as they say.

installed the Blink XT three camera outdoor system one month ago. The system has a lot of positive features but also lacks several things that would make it a great system. In the pro’s column I have the following: The system is reasonably priced. It is easy to set up. It is easy to install. It is totally wireless to the cameras. It has a clear quality picture. You can take a real time snapshot. You can watch a real time video.

This camera and wifi connection base system works great-- best of all it is cost-effective and super easy to install. Once you buy the hardware, there are no more costs (other than batteries, which will last a long time). Highly recommended. I looked into many home security systems. Best parts are: cost, easy installation, wireless, high resolution color, IR for night vision, motion detection, free online storage, and trigger notifications right to your phone. Recommended!

My first set of 3 had a defective camera (no night vision). Got the set replaced, but had to wait for it to be mailed, since none in the store. Pros: Good price, when on sale (check amazon price too), good video (day and night), easy app, AA batts, wireless. Cons: Many false alerts (shadows, branches), pixel block tends to make detection less reliable for non-blocked areas, notifies AFTER video is filmed (late), tech help is hit or miss.

There are better options out there but you will also pay more. For the price of this system I am very happy with it. Overall solid picture quality, easy to use, better life is good, and free cloud storage. The only downfall is you turn it on to record then you automatically get notifications. This is a pain if your home your forced to turn it off. I wish their was a way to keep it recording yet you could turn off notifications.
