This is my second Blu phone and I bought it to replace my first after it had been under water for an hour before I found it. This phone hasn't had any lag, it takes beautiful pictures. it's about the same size as my old phone but has a better battery, higher os and heavier in my hand. I will continue to buy Blu phones in the future.

Pros: phone is $169.99(Best buy) but I paid $135.99 open box Excellent Condition
all accessories in box and packages...I love the 6"+ inch screen great with movies and games and videos...comes with clear case... storage is AWESOME!!!(You can merge SD card with internal memory for not just the ability to save space for apps but to add apps onto the SD card like an internal memory and use them...comes with a glass screen protector (or at least mines did) and an extra film like one in the box... headphones are LOUD and clear... headphone jack...fingerprint scanner...two sim tray slots plus expandable memory slot...
Cons: micro USB, not USB type C... should have been 4gb ram or higher atleast for the price, plenty of other phones at this price point with at least 4gb ram.

For several years, I had looked at BLU smartphones at both Best Buy and Target, but never purchased one. Last week, I finally decided to give the brand a try and I can say it has turned out to be a good purchase. The phone's build is sturdy. The screen is of commendable quality for a device in this price range. Even the camera seemed to exceed my expectations.
The storage and memory specs are also generous for what is essentially an entry-level unlocked Android device. With 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, I find the V9 to have more than adequate resources compared to similarly-priced offerings. Unfortunately, it seems the SD card slot will only accept 64 GB cards. That is the biggest disappointment I have discovered, since many phones are now in the 128/256 realm.
Battery life is solid. I can go quite some time between charges, even with the screen cranked up to 100% brightness. BLU even throws in a decent pair of ear buds and a soft plastic case to protect your investment. Outside of the lacking micro SD capacity, the V9 easily surpasses my expectations for a sub-$200 smartphone.
If you are on the fence about giving BLU a try, I can tell you they deserve your serious consideration.

I like BLU phones. This is my third. They make good Android phones that aren't as expensive as the Samsung phones.
That said, I've not had a good experience with the phone. The phone worked for a few months before the middle of the screen became in responsive and I was unable to unlock it. I was able to getting to start working again by letting the battery completely die. Since the phone had awesome battery life, it took two days of not being able to make calls and send or receive texts for that to happen but all was well for a few more months. The screen became permanently unresponsive, so I took advantage of the protection plan that I got for the phone and replaced it.
I figured that I had a part to play in the damage to the phone because it took me a week to get a case for the phone. Since it wasn't sold in the store, I had to buy it online. By the time I got it, I had dropped it so many times, because the phone was so smooth that it was slipping out of my hand, that eventually I cracked the top part of the screen. So getting another phone and using the case I already had, would mean that the likelihood of dropping it would be greatly diminished.
About a month after I got a refurbished replacement, the bottom screen became unresponsive. I could still make calls and send text messages but I can't switch between apps since the navigational buttons are in the unresponsive area. So I just decided to get a different phone which arrived yesterday. Still team BLU.
My recommendation is relevant at this point, since the phone is no longer sold by BestBuy...

This is a very good Android phone at a very reasonable price. It has a good amount of internal storage and accepts a 64GB SD card. It has the Android 9 operating system, and the cameras take good pictures. Although some might not like that it has a micro USB cord, I like that I can use all of the cords I already have and didn't have to purchase new cords or adapters. The battery lasts quite a while. Of course an iPhone or a Samsung probably have superior qualities, but if you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars and just need a very good phone, then I would recommend the BLU V9.

Bought a G7 for myself and a G9 for wife.she loves it..lots of storage..great camera.fast processor..good design as they put charging port back on bottom of phone..also a nice change they added a slide in tray for Sim card and additional sd card so you don't have to open phone to get up and running..I love Blu phones and unless you are stuck on name recognition they offer a great value..works well on T Mobile..

Okay, so I wanted a phone with a few more gigabytes than the 8GB Samsung Galaxy 1 that I was previously using. Well, this phone has given me quite a bit more gigabytes (64 gb) of storage. I haven't really made up my mind if I like how much larger this phone is than my old phone. I do notice that the screen is crisp and clear and easier to read for these old eyes. The phone only came with about a half-dozen useless programs which I have disabled. I haven't found a way to download or transfer apps on the phone to the external storage. You can move photos and music to the external storage. The phone is made by or sponsored by Android so you can't expect a lot from them. THEY are slanted as to what THEY are going to allow you to do with THEIR phone. You don't really own it, THEY do. Came with Android Version 9. It has a non-removable battery which I'm not really pleased with. It connected effortlessly with TracFone which I'm a customer of 13 years now. It is an unlocked GSM capable phone. it seems to have the same coverage in my area as Verizon. I hope it works in Western Maryland where I didn't have any coverage before. It has two SIM card slots. The phone came with earbuds, 2 screen protectors, a clear plastic case, and a plug-in charger. It charges rather quick, in a couple of hours you're ready to go. The battery seems to last quite a while. The external speaker seems to be quite loud and easy to understand. It takes okay photos. The dialing pad screen seems to be large enough to accommodate my fat fingers. The price of the phone seemed to be fair. All in all I'm pleased with the phone because that's exactly what it is, a phone.

Good phone but limited global LTE/3G band support

I purchased this phone before my trip to Europe to use it as a travel pay-as-you-go phone to avoid ridiculous data roaming fees. The price was great and made me skip going over the supported LTE bands in detail. Unfortunately upon my arrival to Europe, I learnt it doesn't support the bands used by European networks. Hence, I got stuck with Edge data speed which is pretty much useless other than whatsapp texting.
It is a good phone if you are going to use it in the US, Canada, Mexico, some South American and southern Asia countries also on the list but if you plan to use it as a (global) travel phone, be aware of its data band limitations.

My sister has been using this phone for awhile and I examined the phone as well from time to time. The final verdict is that the phone is alright.
Screen size is nice, functional, and it works. The downside of this phone is that there is hardly few to no cases out there for this phone, so you have to be careful with it.
Other then that, it's an alright phone.

After buying the BLU V7 model and having problems with the battery going bad, and not being able to replace it, I just bought the BLU V9 model my wife has. Would not recommend the V7 due to the battery issue, this V9 is good so far.
I will not waste more money on over rated Iphones or expensive Samsung phones when a cheap alternative like the BLU is available at a low enough cost.
And by the way, had the same problem with trying to call Best Buy for help, no one answers the phone there at all !

For someone who doesn't use several apps, I would expect this phone to be a lot faster. It gets the job done however.
The one thing I would say though is that the battery life on this one is exceptional. Now, I must say that I am not a heavy user of this phone. But the battery lasts me almost 3-4 days straight. I am pretty sure it would last at least a day even for the "heaviest" of users.

For the price, it's a very good device. I got an open-end box item and the performance so far has been satisfactory. Battery, display etc is good. Infact battery can work for 2 days with decent use But some negatives are there :
- camera quality is very bad
- audio via bluetooth or regular headphones is not good
- while connecting your car with this device via bluetooth, it does not transfer or display the contacts on car screen
- sometimes it hangs.
- software interface or fonts could be better

After buying my wife her first Blu phone 2 years ago for barely $150, we haven't looked back.
For the money, and the fact that these come with a case, and headphones, I won't even consider a high tag brand again.
These new V9 are loaded with options and her new one doesn't disappoint.
15/10 phone for the money.

It's a good phone so far for a good price. It hasn't done me wrong yet... They are fair phones. I got a two year Best Buy warranty on it so I'm sure I'll be fine with it for at least that long... I like Best Buy.... Why does this have to be so long I haven't owned the thing long enough to write that much about it... I need a credit card coupon...

Purchased this product out of need. My personal choice for mobile phones are HTC's. But, I purchased this, despite some negative reviews, because it offered what I wanted it for (contacts, calendars, ample memory and storage) and the price was right. It is still holding up.

If you're wanting to buy this phone, and you drive a Toyota with Entune audio (or similar systems from Ford and GM), be prepared to be frustrated when you try to pair it up. As this device is NOT on Toyota's compatibility list, it has all kinds of issues when connecting to these vehicles.
You're better off buying a Moto G, a Nokia, or a Samsung.
Also, BLU tends to lag behind other vendors when it comes to device security updates and Android letter upgrades.
If you want to use this phone with a Toyota, Lexus, GM, or Ford vehicle, you'll likely need to get an Android Auto adapter off Amazon or you'll need to use a USB cable and set the Micro SD card to EXTERNAL when you first set up the phone, then use MTP mode each time you plug it into your car's stereo.
Alternatively, if you have an older car and don't care about your factory audio system or your warranty, consider getting an aftermarket head unit with Android Auto support.
