I had read the reviews on these from Cnet and other Techmagazines and they we're all glowing and after finding out if I ordered them in the store they could help me buy a Geek Squad protection plan for them (Something you can't do online for some reason)
That clinched it so I bit the bullet and bought them and a 2 year Geek Squad protection plan. And when they arrived at my house I put them on plugged them into my phone and was blown away.
I've never heard such beautiful sound from Headphones and the use of an analog amp instead of Dsp was not only brilliant but go's a long way to making these a music lovers dream set of headphones.

These headphones sound amazing. They don't fold as small as other headphones and are a bit heavier so you might want to consider that if your going to use them for traveling. However, if you want the best sound for the money, there's not another option that comes close.

The bottom line is that I returned these phones less than 24 hours after I received them. Why? They are heavy and were uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour. Add to that, the sound is good, but not so good that I would put up with the discomfort. I am a headphone junky and have been for 50 years. I own several premium phones including the Beyer DT1350, Sennheiser Momentum and NAD Viso. The Mo-Fi's do not sound as good as the NAD's to my ear. I listen to hi-res flac files - mostly jazz and classical and some classic rock. I worked as a recording engineer for several years.
The Mo-fi's sounded a little constricted to me. I tried both amplified and non-amplified and the bass boost. Nothing made me say that these phones are excellent.
Maybe the discomfort colored my view of the sound. I tried all the tension settings and used the minimum setting, but it just did not work.
This is an exciting and innovative product. I really wanted to love it.
Maybe your results will be better.

I like the volume that can be full blast or turned down to hear if someone is trying to get my attention. Excellent sound and comfort ear pads. Love the sturdiness.

Was on sale and I read the reviews, yet still purchased the headphones to try out since I collect them and these are definitely unique. As previous owners commented, the headphones are heavy and not very comfortable. The sound, either w/amp on or off, was clear and unequivocal to create a nice atmosphere and sound stage.
However, the price and heaviness of the headphones ultimately lead me to return them. There are too headphones at this price range that surpass comfort and listening pleasure. Too bad since the concept is exceptional. Cheers.

I absolutely love these headphones and use them daily at work to listen to music and video conferences.
The all around sound from the bass to the mids and highs are excellent. I know that many people love heavy bass, these do have a somewhat a bass with the "On+" mode. (FYI if you are looking for extreme bass look somewhere else).
The build quality on these is outstanding if you can get past the appearance. Personally I love the look but others may not.
You will not find a better fitting pair of headphones. Both extremes for head sizes will be well fit with the hinged headband. As a result of the exemplary build quality, they are quite heavy but I become quite accustomed to them.
The headphones have two detachable cables, one 3M cable for home or studio use without an inline remote/mic and one 1M cable for mobile use. Both cords are also well built.
I would highly recommend checking out this review from a true group of audiophiles--> http://www.soundguys.com/blue-mo-fi-review-2654/

I bought these headphones after reading through multiple online forums for best over ear headphones for use in office.
These headphones are amazing. The sound is next level for the price. They dont leak any sound. There is only one flaw that they are too heavy because of the inbuilt amps.Thats the only drawback. They beat all competition miles behind for the same price.

The Amp makes the Difference?

I was kicking around the idea of purchasing a more expensive headphone with a separate amplifier until I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. Wow do they sound good! Better than any headphone I have ever heard and in most cases significantly better. And the built in amp makes it more practical for most people including me. I heard things in the music that I've never heard before. Outstanding!

Blue Mo-Fi Headphones Review

Love the sound and overall design of the Blue Mo-Fi's. Compared to my previous set and my daughter's Beats I can honestly say there is a distinct difference in the sound quality in favor of Blue. They are called Mo-Fi for "mobility" and that's the only real issue - these are FAR from mobile. They are heavier and more awkward than most "portable" headphones but they look and sound amazing!

Great headphones for audiophiles. The best is the Amplifier boost switch. This switch acts like a dac. Opens up new life on older recordings! Blue Headphones have another great product, other than just mics.

Yes these are big but stay real snug on your head. The sound quality is well worth the size and price. I finally found the High quality headphones that I been looking for. Way above my Beats, Bose and even V-moda

Read several reviews before I purchased these headphones. Saw a lot of complaints about them being too small and too tight for people with larger heads. I have a small head (wear an XS size motorcycle full-face helmet), and these headphones still gave me a headache after only wearing them for an hour (and that was on the loosest setting). After a few days, either my head got more used to the headphones, or the headphones got broke-in to the shape of my head, but they don't bother me as much anymore (although, they still start hurting me after about 5 hours of continuous use --- I use these for recording and mixing music). BESIDES THIS, THESE ARE NOW MY MOST FAVORITE HEADPHONES I'VE EVER OWNED!!!!!!!! The sound is AMAZING!!! I wish the bass were a little more prominent on the "On+" setting, but I have exceptional bass headphones, and nothing I've ever owned before comes close to the beautiful sound that these Blue Mo-Fi headphones produce! If and when these headphones bite the dust, I will DEFINITELY be purchasing another pair!!! I own several Blue microphones (LOVE THEM ALL), and now I can proudly say that I LOVE my Blue Mo-Fi headphones!!!!!

If your head requires a large hat, do not buy these.. they will squeeze your ears way to tight to be comfortable for any use over a few minutes. I purchased a pair of Sony Headphones with extra Bass that I paid a little over $100 for and they are more comfortable, and sound better.
This product is over priced but comes with great packaging so I am guessing that is what you are paying the extra money for as the product design or quality other than the packaging does not warrant the high price.

First, let me say that I use these Blues with a DAC (Meridian Explorer 2) on my laptop, personal PC and work PC. The entire setup is portable enough that I end up taking it just about everywhere I go. The source files are all Apple Lossless or FLAC and range from Classical to Classic Rock to Metal, with a bit of Techno thrown in from time to time. Now for the review...
The MoFi's are nothing short of amazing. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 650s which I use with a desktop headphone DAC and AMP. These were my go to / reference headphones when comparing other products. I adore my HD 650s. The sound is amazingly clear, detailed, with little bias in any frequency. It's easy to see why they have been an audiophile favorite for so long. With that said, I can say that after 2 months of using the Blues, I vastly prefer the MoFis over the 650s. Where the 650's are a clean, flat, reference friendly sound, the MoFis are much the same but with the excitement knob cranked to 11. It seems like they are not emphasizing bass or mids or highs, rather it emphasizes everything all at once. It's really difficult to describe. Turning the built in amp on makes the sound come alive. I don't know if the Blues present a better sound stage, or what magic is happening, but to me they're hands down better. With the bass boost on, it makes my techno tracks so energetic, without losing clarity or definition in the mids and highs. Some headphones can drown you in bass, but the rest of it gets muddy or unclear. Sound isolation is also (disturbingly at time) amazing. I was listening to my Blues while surfing the web, and had no idea a family member stopped by my house and had been standing behind me for 10+ minutes. They were playing with my doberman the entire time, and I couldn't hear a thing.
Now... on to the things you may not like about these. They are made of seriously solid materials. I have no doubt they will stand up well to daily driving. The problem here is that they are going to be heavier than most headphones, especially portable / compact cans such as the Momentum IIs. That said, unless you have neck issues of some kind, I can't really see it being an issue. Another issue would be with the tension system. I know I have a large head (it houses my huge brain), and typical hat sizes and other things don't usually fit me. I had serious concerns about this when I tested these in the store. Hoping that they would break-in and become more comfortable, I bought them anyway. Luckily, they did break in after a few weeks, and are extremely comfortable to me. The memory-foam headband and earpads are fantastic. I believe each is over an inch thick.
Anyway, I highly recommend you try these. They replaced a 5+ year love affair I had with Sennheiser. Sad but true.

Amazing Sound Quality!

After reading some of the reviews online I decided to give these a try. And boy am I glad that I did. The sound quality is out of this world!!! You will hear things you never knew were in the background of the song. I am truly blown away, I've had everything from Bose to Bowers & Wilson and HiFiMan and I would have to say this beats them all out. The on-board AMP does exactly what its advertised to do, cleans up the audio and gives it a little extra all in analog!!! With no distortion or making the track sound fake so to speak.. I'm all over the place with my music preferences but I mostly listen to Classical Rock, Rock, Country and on the very rare occasion Techno and Rap, any everything across the board sounds amazing!! I decided to take these to the next level pairing it up with an app in the App Store called KaiserTone, its a one, two punch letting you enjoy your music for hours on end.
Now onto the Cons;
They are a little heavy and are going to take some time to break in but, once broken in they fit like a glove. Well worth it to me.
Also they do not fold up so trying to get them into the supplied storage bag is a bit tight, but fear not there are several cases for purchase on Amazon.
Other than that I cant recommend these headphones enough! you will have hours of happy listening if you pick these bad boys up!

They are heavy, heavier than Beats Pro according to my uncalibrated hands.
They are much more comfortable than Beats Pros and sound a whole lot clearer and louder.
On+ helps songs with low bass from the recording studio, but if the song is engineered to be bass heavy it won't help.
The battery saving feature is also fantastic.
Test them out and see for yourself.
