This is a great microphone for the price. I do highly recommend it for anyone using it for general use (work, gaming, streaming, etc.). I don't have experience using it for music, so I can not speak on that necessarily but I do think from my experience that if you're going to use it for music then probably look at a different microphone. This is easily attached to an arm for mobility, and the three different modes (chosen with a switch on the back) work great. Sound quality is good and you don't need anything else to get it going. Just plug into your computer and you are good to go. One bad note: I first had the model that used the old USB connection on the back (USB-A). I disconnect from the back of the microphone after each use, and after about 10 months the port on the microphone to plug in broke. I went and bought a new one (since the price and quality of sound is still good) and they seem to come with a micro-usb connection on the back of the microphone now. I am assuming this port is stronger, and so far I have not had any problems.

I purchased this mic to record narration for some web-based training modules I was working on. I tried to use another omni-directional mic, but I had to have my face right next to the microphone to eliminate white noise. With this mic however, I could stand comfortably back and read the script. The microphone worked perfectly creating a rich audio file that I used for several courses. It's also a cheaper alternative to the Yeti microphone and performs just as well. It's more expensive than the Dynex microphone Best Buy sells, but you get what you pay for - so pony up for this and you won't be disappointed!

Massive improvement over the basic PC microphone I was using before this. Plug and play on both Windows and macOS. The sound quality is excellent, and when combined with a pop filter, I could see it being used for a wide variety of professional-sounding purposes. I considered the "Snowball iCE" as a cheaper alternative, but decided on this model. The main difference is in the performance of the mic; the iCE model only picks up sound from the front. The Snowball allows you to switch from front-based, surround-based, or front-based gain mode (picking up higher decibel sounds, such as drums, with more finesse.)

The Blue Snowball is a very impressive plug and play mic, that offers almost no set-up when connected through USB. It has exceptional sound quality and can capture the faintest of sounds. Having different modes to capture audio is a key component of the device. It is best with any mic, to be directly in front of the device and position yourself so that you are speaking towards and down to the mic. You will get the best results if you place the mic around 4-5 inches from your mouth and around 2-3 inches under your mouth. This is absolutely the best mic for the price if you are a beginner and looking for solid sound quality at an affordable price. I have since upgraded to the Blue Yeti as I was looking for an even higher level of quality and design in my daily mic (just a matter of preference.) Overall, Blue products are some of the best made and certainly some of the best priced.

I got the Blue-Mic Snowball to use as the primary microphone for my computer. My family utilizes Zoom for Sunday evening Video Chats, my computer mic just was not getting the job done. I also use a mic when I use Dragon Naturally Speaking, The Blue-Mic Snowball works very well for me. I find the 3 settings in the back help tune the mic for a specific need. I found the value for the price to be excellent. It took a little practice to get settings and location right for my needs. The effort was worth it.

I use this to do screen recording tutorials and also for online web meetings. The sound is fantastic. It is easy to set up. I just had to screw the microphone onto the base and connect the usb cable to the computer. I was up and running instantly. I like that the base allows you adjust the height of the mic so I do not have to bend forward to speak. It picks my voice up very well no matter I am seated at my desk.

Bought this as business manager for a traveling independent musician so he can make audition tapes, record samples for his website, etc. Overall, it's a very good investment: it's fairly easy to set up and use, light weight, looks cool, and has good sound. The three different recording settings are worth experimenting with. Only complaint is that it crackles at very high volumes (musician plays pipe organ, so it gets pretty loud), but at more normal volumes, even the pipe organ sounds great. Suggestion to manufacturer: a carrying case would be nice.

I purchased this mic for the plethora of Zoom and Teams meetings for both Work and Spiritual activities. This device while physically larger than I expected, performs very well and has low overhead on system resources. An excellent choice for general audio recording and video conferencing that does not sound like you are in a tin can like some other mic's.

This microphone has great sound quality. It is very clear live and recorded. I have used it for both live Skype calls and music recording, and am satisfied with its performance in both cases. It has three different settings that allow you to include or filter out background sounds. The tripod legs and neck are adjustable, and the feet have a solid grip. The set-up is straightforward and takes almost no time.

We had been using a head worn usb microphone that served it's purpose. One day I listened to my voice with a good set of headphones and I sounded nazeley and not like myself. I did some on-line research at Bestbuy.com and Amazon and saw the Blue USB Cardioid microphone had positive reviews. My local Best Buy had it in-stock and at the price I found online. I made the purchase and immediately ran home to hook it up. Set up was a breeze and after listening to the first sample recording that I made, this microphone is a steal. Now my son uses it and since he gets more listens to his Minecraft youtube recordings, the feedback has been hugely positive.

Before this purchase I’ve never had a studio quality microphone as I didn’t have a need for it. But I have recently found that I could have saved so much money from purchasing this before I did. I found my self using this for gaming as it’s more durable than headsets and it isn’t in the danger zone for those moments of rage from playing Fortnite. The quality of the sound is amazing and it’s no wonder that this mic is used all over the entertainment community and the music community is perfect. With three modes which allows you to capture audio from 360° Or just audio from in front of you or even a -10Db Pad which I don’t know what that means but I found prevents background noises and makes screaming sound clearer. This mic is amazing and I would recommend to a friend.

The first time I used this mic, it worked splendidly. It even captured the faint noises in the room I tried to avoid making (like my chair squeaking when I moved slightly.) It was surprisingly easy to get it to work with my PC; I played a track on the PC while I sang along to it, and the mic worked great.

I'm taking some online computer courses, one of which required me to do a voice over. Not being very technology-savvy, I needed something easy and the Snowball USB mic was the perfect choice. I simply plugged it in to my desktop and it practically set itself up. The sound quality is professional, too.

If you want a good quality microphone that is Mac and PC compatible, espcially if you want flexibility with sound input, this Blue Snowball is a good quality buy. I use it in conference or group meetings and it performs great. Three input settings help you specifiy the sound source.

This mic has been easy to use and has produced great results. It's able to pick up minute background sounds as well, so make sure that your recording environment is not prone to echo (and that the wheels on your rolling chair don't squeak!)

This mic is very easy to set up and picks up quite well. It's nice to have the various settings on it to set the sensitivity. It's literally a plug and play mic so there isn't much to change. Works great on Windows 10 and the little stand is handy too.
