    Whatever Role

This mic not only looks the part, but sounds great for any occasion. Whether it's podcasting or simply chatting on Skype. The XLR output makes it adaptable for any professional recording session, and the recording pattern can be changed to specifically meet needs. Its well built, at the cost of being a little heavy. The only objection I have to this model is that gain adjusted by a knob, but the knob doesn't have indicators or click-stops to give you a sense of where your input levels are. Also I often get confused about which way to turn the knob to increase or decrease gain. Its a small thing, and not a problem if you do a sound check before recording.

Overall, I am very happy with the sound quality for the price of the product. It looks nice, and seems well-constructed. I use it to record vocals for home demos. I run it usually in mono through a simple M-Audio hub using the XLR cord. It works for me, and the sound is very warm and detailed. The downsides are that it's difficult to trasport, due to its size and weight. Also, I took it off its stand and mounted it on a freestanding mic stand at a friend's studio. That was easy enough, but keeping track of all the litttle washers, and putting it back together later was frustrating. Note that the mic must be hooked up through the USB for power.

The best mic on the market

Best USB Microphone ever! OK, sounds repetitive. But it is true. While podcasting would be fun, one overlooked use is for dictation. I use Dragon on my Mac. I have spent over $1,000 fruitlessly on microphones from Samson, Phillips SpeechMike, Plantronics, and many others. NONE of them are consistent. I have decided the microphone quality is generally quite poor, as is noise rejection. They are generally poorly directional, having immense shifts in frequency response depending how off axis you are. This radically affects recognition with even a few degrees off axis speech. The Yeti, on the other hand, is a very high fidelity microphone, it has tunable directionality, and maintains balance when even significantly off axis. I set it on my desk and can dictate with the best fidelity and accuracy I have ever experienced with Dragon. Dragon now is actually useful. And...it looks way cool on my desk!

Bought this Yeti Blue when the pandemic started and needed to migrate my health and wellness drum circles to Zoom. That was not an easy task. This mic picked up my voice and drum and works wonderfully! Back to in person now except when I get a drum gig across the US and will keep on using it now.

The sound quality is premium. It has a separate aux out that you can run into the line in on your machine so you can simultaneously hear yourself while you record in your headphones. I would highly recommend for the sound quality. It is pricier than some of the other models, but has a premium design.

Great mic for streaming and recording music. It comes with a stand, but works with virtually any desk compass arm stand. Very easy to use and straightforward.

This is an excellent mic for the novice to audio recording or voice over because it has the ability to just plug into a laptop with the USB connection with 24 bit sampling rate but at the same time allows for growth with the ability to connect via XLR connection.

My son has tried a variety of micro8in the past, but finally we found one with excellent sound quality and is extremely easy to setup. During online play, his friends tell him that he sounds like a professional gamer! Great purchase.

This mic has a good range of hertz settings to record in both 24 bit and 16 bit. My particular computer doesn't have a hertz setting to be an exact multiple of CD hertz but higher for this mic. It has only 96kHz and 192kHz as close versions for that. The mic seems to be very sensitive in 24 bit. I haven't tried 16 bit very much. In 24 bit it got the noise and vibration from the fan in my laptop when it was on the same surface as the mic... when I lifted the mic of the table and listened, the sound recording improved. Might be good to have one of those shock mount holders for better recording clarity to not pick up vibrations through the mic stand so much. I haven't done a lot of recording with this particular mic, but it seemed to record more balanced sound than a different mic I had when looking at the soundwaves. I don't know if that was my own user error on the other mic or not. I'm learning the Audacity program. This mic seems to be pretty good and I like it.

My friends and I wanted to to gaming videos and we needed a microphone. After a ton of searching I decided to get this mic. and hope that it would do the job. It is a great microphone and has, in my opinion, the best sound quality. I used it for 4 videos now and it was worth every penny. I know it's a lot of money but if you could afford it it'll be worth it.

The professional version was more than I needed for webcasting, but it was the only version in stock due to the huge demand earlier this year. The reputation of Yeti speaks for itself. It’s heavy duty, beautiful and I’m very pleased with the sound quality and options for use.
