Blue Planet was the standard in nature-documentary, back in DVD / Blu-ray time. Blue Planet II is the new 4K HDR standard!

You can never go wrong with BBC productions. I have no idea how they can get these shots. We have only watched the first of the 4 4K discs, but am looking forward to the next three. Just like the Planet Earth set, everything is Spot On!

After watching Planet Earth 2 in 4K I was eagerly awaiting the release of Blue Planet. The wait was worth it. Amazing picture, almost surreal and David Attenborough to top it off. Excellent watch for anyone into nature documentaries.

I love these BBC documentaries. The video is stunning. I actually learn alot from these. Things I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

To really show off to people the clarity and color gamut of 4K, Blue Planet is the dvd to get. Amazing visually, maybe the best 4K available. Not only that but if you like animals and nature, the scenes are amazing.

If you enjoy watching nature documentaries and have a 4K HDR TV with the necessary equipment (UHD Player), then Blue Planet is a must have. The A/V quality of this release is top notch and is reference quality for the format.

At times this documentary series can look amazing. It is very fascinating to learn about all these different ecosystems. It is, however, very inconsistent as a 4k showcase. Moments of awe are followed by moments of massive video compression and the weirdest visual artifacts I have ever seen on Blu-ray. The copy I ordered arrived with what looked like water damage. The discs are all stacked on top on each other to save space. The packaging feels VERY cheap. Maybe these discs just didn't play well with my model of player, maybe the discs were water damaged too. It all amounts to a sadly, lackluster overall package and not worth the money in my opinion.

So far, we've only watched one disk of four, and it's fabulous! Picture quality in HDR is breathtaking, and the content too!

I took an Oceanography class and whenever we finished our course material, we'd watch this and it's amazing.

Must own if you have Planet Earth 2. I prefer Blue Planet over Planet Earth mainly because I am a ocean enthusiast. Both have the best presentation for 4K. Buy planet earth 2 as well if you haven't done so.

Let’s start with wow, cinematography is on point, the 4K quality is a must for anyone with 4K hardware. Such a view even in night shots it’s crazy good! Fantastic documentary I can’t wait for new releases!

One of the best documentaries of 2018. So beautiful and rich in color. If you don’t have a 4K tv it’s ok, if still looks good in Blu-Ray. But please consider a 4K tv soon to experience the truly amazing experience.

Stunning photography, thought provoking. The 4k imagery here is spectacular, and the sound is even better.

This is an absolute must, both for showing off your 4k HDR setup and for the amazing scenery. An instant appreciation for the creative team's work and nature's beauty occurs as soon as you start watching.

I highly recommend this video to anyone who wants to know more about our planet! David Attenborough is legendary and is the narrator throughout this. I do not yet own Blue Planet 1, but plan to buy it soon.

Such a great series. Always love the Attenborough-narrated series and definitely fond of underwater material. Not to mention this is one of the best discs to show off your 4k TV (along with planet earth 2)

As always, wonderful filming by BBC, I've always been a fan of Attenburough and he always seems to capture something about nature and the wild that people have never seen before. Very informative, great quality.

The picture is superb in 4K while the drama is intense. It grips your attention to the greater beauty of the seas and the exciting environments which exists.

Not much can be said about this that hasn't already been said - the picture quality is unbelievable and this is a cool way to learn about nature. My stepdaughter loves it, which is perfect for me!
