Starting off the appearance of this purifier really stands out. It looks like a mixture of a stylish end table and a futuristic speaker had a baby. haha Definitely modern and a contemporary feel! The second thing that really caught my eye is you can see this working.. literally watching it pull the dust and particles in. It's super quiet even on the highest setting. Being on oxygen air quality is of the utmost importance and this keeps the air crisp. Even with my Husky stirring up dust this really keeps the air clear. The purifier adds to any rooms environment both looks wise and purpose. The ability to control this with Alexa and Google makes this even better. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a small to midsize room air purifier that serves as a multipurpose device as well being able to use it as a an end table

    Rescue Remedy 4 Bad Air

BlueAir model #5210i This model is easy to carry from room to room as needed. I am hypersensitive to toxins and allergens; so, I put this air purifier to steady, regular use. Though I would love it if repair adhesives and products were all revised into nontoxic formulas, but the world is just beginning to awaken to the damaging effects of hormone disruptors. Nonetheless, when I must use shoe glues, wood strippers, floor polishers, etc, the Blue Air comes to the rescue by keeping the moving at a high speed through its filters. To get the most optimal results, its best to keep the doors and windows closed to create a vacuum. So you know where you stand from start up to finish, the unit has an air quality indicator that gives you a status report: ^very polluted ^slightly ^moderate ^good excellent Before operating, confirm that all filters are installed: 2 pre filters 2 HEPA With a manual or remote access by APP, you have the option to stay put with your book or task at hand when you want to eliminate any pollutants that may have crept into your space: cigarette smoke from the adjacent apartment, vehicular emissions that have invaded the space thru open windows; animal companion emissions; cooking mishaps; or off gassing from recent window or carpet installations that lie beneath your awareness until right when you're comfortably snuggled in. The filters remove the following: particulate matter i.e. dust, pollen as well as gases i.e. smoke, cooking odors, chemicals. I like the red-light indicator when a filter replacement is required. The filters do require maintenance at some time from 6-12 months. Wipe with a dust cloth or with a soft brush. See the App for filter replacement subscription availability. Note that you must use only Blueair Filters to maintain warranty coverage. I don't like that product manufacturer doesn't like the consumer to use an extension cord. In an old house, most times I need a lengthy cord since outlets are fewer than in new homes built to support lots of electronics. In some cases, I have to 'watchfully' risk using extension cords until the heavy up gets done. I found the warranty 411 at blueair.com/warrant In my green book, great news that the parts are recyclable but inquire at your local transfer station. I do like the unit's Wifi for adjusting and checking the status of various parameters. I do like AUTO MODE that allows the purifier to adjust relative to the air quality. The unit's top is a stable platform that might be viewed as a landing for drinks; but the manufacturer says 'don't do it'... No Liquids on Top! Otherwise, the design is aesthetically workable in most any context. Elevated on ~4.5" stilts, the unit is pleasing to the eye. These days the introduction of electronics into any home turns most home environments into eclectic. Though white and styled as a sleek, modern, square silo, it fits unobtrusively into my farmhouse milieu. Like the company's manual in French, English and Spanish, their offices are international as well: Sweden/Chicago/DubaiUAE/ Shanghai + Hong Kong China/ Overall, gotta solid value for a lightweight powerhouse.

    Great for dust

This is a nice and quiet machine. I almost exclusively use it on the night time setting as it's in a bedroom and the lights on it are bright otherwise. We like to leave our windows open when possible so this is nice to cut down on some of the dust that can be floating around. We also use a fan at night in the bedroom and I know that can cause issues with dust. We have noticed a decrease in feeling stuffed up in the morning since we started using it and I feel like that's the best measure of success. This works great for a bedroom sized room, not sure how it would perform in a larger area. So far I've had no issues other than the app was really hard to pair at first.

    Silent Air Purifier

The Blueair DustMagnet 5210i Air Purifier is a very well made and silent air purifier. It has two filters one at the top and one at the bottom with pre-filters at each location. Setup is easy with simple to follow instructions. Download the Blueair app and follow the instructions. The app has really bad reviews but it doesn't seem to be an issue for me. The app isn't required but it makes it easier to control remotely and adds some informational items about the quality of the air and the life of the filters. The purifier is making a huge difference in the amount of dust that normally accumulates in the room. I wouldn't say it's quite at the 99% percent level but it is significant. We have a ceiling fan that loves to help generate dust and throw it around the room and this is making a noticeable difference. The room it's in is about 200 sq. ft. so this is the perfect size unit for the job according to Blueair. Filters are a no show as far as replacement goes. Hopefully that changes over time, since this is a new product. A quick trip to the Blueair product website shows the replacement filters at 25 bucks a piece, not in stock. The product itself is out of stock and is showing as back in stock in Fall of 2021, yep you read correctly. I hope that is not the case for filters because I don't think they'll last that long. Other than the no stock and unknown dates for the product and filters, its a great product. Hopefully the fine folks at Blueair can ramp up production and get these out in greater quantities.

I was looking forward to this dustmagnet since I have a ton of allergies. I unboxed the unit and it's a piece of cake to get up and running. The Android app on the other hand, but I digress. So, there are 4 legs that you need to screw into the bottom of the unit and then turn it over, remove both filters and take off the protective plastic, then reinstall the filters, and plug the unit in. I then downloaded the Android app and it seemed to be an easy install. Everything was going great, it found the unit and went to a finalize screen. I tried everything to get it to finish. I let it run looking at it, then letting the screen go black and coming back later. I unlocked the phone with the finger lock and it was still finalizing. I swiped the app off the phone and reopened it, still finalizing. I then just left it and watched a show. When I came back and fired up the phone again to retry, it had completed. Go figure, I have no idea why it took so long and when it actually finalized. Once that was done though, everything was good. I was ready to fire it up. I powered the unit on and it didn't make any noise. Huh, is it on??? I moved the speed from 1 to 2 and still not any noticeable noise. So 3 it is, full blast and then I heard a faint whirl. This thing is really quiet. I went back to 2 and again no noise. I put my ear up to it and muted the tv and then I heard it running, but not really anything I would notice had I not been looking for it...nice! I now run it at 1.5, which you can do via the app. I never even hear it running. What else? It's small and compact. I thought it would be much bigger. There are just the 2 filters. SIde note: maybe it was me, but the filters aren't exactly square. They look like they are, but after unwrapping them, I was only able to insert them from 2 sides, not all 4...no biggie, just something I noticed. The app works really well, but I found a second or two of lag. I have 200 Mbps down and I was right by my bridge Linksys EA9500 router, so I don't believe it's my network. I stream to the 55" tv right above that router with no buffering or drops. Anyway, how do I know it's working? The app said I was in the green, then it went to moderate. I ran it for about 4 hours and saw a drop in the yellow zone, but it was still moderate. I'm guessing it's working if the gauge is slowly going down. Finally, I've got a few air handlers in a few rooms and this one is in the den and probably at it's max square footage. The room is 12 x 15 with a cathedral ceiling. If it continues to clean the dust and get's back into the green zone, my nose and allergies will be most grateful. I'd recommend this to anyone that has breathing difficulties or allergies as anything that can reduce our need for pills, sprays and tissue is appreciated.

    Noticeably Less Dust

An air filter that actually does exactly what it says it does with useful indicators and legitimately smart functionality. I really appreciate the BlueAir DustMagnet for a number of reasons, but most of all because it has noticeably reduced the amount of dust settling in one of our dustiest rooms. The auto-mode is particularly adaptive and does seem to kick in when a meal is being made or when pollen levels rise. Even so, the whole device is remarkably quiet. The app and other related functionality are also pretty easy to use and functional, though you can also use the DustMagnet on its own without any of the fancypants stuff if you so choose. Design-wise: I wish it had adjustable height. If the intent was to make it a "piece of furniture" it's too low to be helpful as an end table and the surface area is about the size of a medium plate and if you want it in your bedroom, you may not appreciate the indicator LEDs next to your head. All in all: highly recommended so far and I'm excited to see how it performs during allergy season.

This unit is actually smaller than I first thought it would be. It does not weigh a lot and is easy to move around and handle. You remove the plastic from 2 filters, turn it on, connect to wifi, and it is up and running. Very easy. You install an app that lets you connect it to Wi-Fi and monitor it, the whole process takes like 5 minutes. One of the easiest smart devices actually. This unit runs so quiet and smooth that I highly recommend for a smaller room. The unit has kept my home office very clean and I have noticed a significant reduction in dust. The room is smaller and you can easily notice the air quality for better or worse. The filters are nice and big and easy to get to so replacing them should be very easy. You have an option to subscribe to a filter replacement service, but I will not be doing that just yet. I always price around first. Highly recommended!

Dust/pollen - welcome to Florida! This air cleaner pulls in dust and pollen with the best of them, and does it intelligently. By way of app on your phone, you link it with WiFi and it pulls down air quality reports off the web, so it knows how hard it has to work to keep the air clean so it runs quietly unless it really needs to work hard. I let it work for the past week in (what was) the most dusty room in the house. Seeing what had been caught in the filter amazed me - that much less gunk to be breathed into our lungs! Great device - every home needs one!

    Really a Dust Magnet

The Blue Air DustMagnet 5210i is really a dust magnet. I've noticed much less dust in my room since I got it. It's not only great to see less dust, but also encouraging that there's less dust in the air to breathe. The machine is very quiet. On the highest setting it's about as loud a fan on low to medium, which for me is not loud. I generally have my fans higher than that. I use the auto setting and just let it run. It is very quiet for on that setting. The only time I've heard it on the higher settings is when I chose to. This machine is worth it.

I've been using the Blue Air DustMagnet 5210i for about a week. I'm sad to say, but it has not been the greatest experience. The device is constantly disconnecting from my wifi, therefore not working properly. It will be connected, then disconnected for hours. Also the app is terrible. It took almost 30 minutes just to setup the device. It froze on my phone, and I had to restart the entire process. Also for the money, not including a remote is a definite no go.
