I always like it when a product can have more than one purpose. This Dust magnet also subs as a small table top so it fits in good with my decor. The LED light indicators are quaint, not creating a eyesore. Like most current air/dust cleaner/removers there is a front led indicator for current air quality changing colors as needed. There are 3 regular fan speeds and a night setting for whisper quite operation. I found even when turned to full speed the air rush sound was not disappointing. I could easily have a conversation. With charged ION release to attract dust will have to wait and see how well this works. The dual filters are great, I have not had these before with other machines. The Best part is the APP to control via WiFi. I tested this. Turned the unit off and before coming home I turned it on with specific settings and found to be working accurately. The app is great, can set a routeen schedule if desired and monitor filter life based on algorithms. Panel lights brightness can be adjusted or turned completely off. You can assign a location such as "living Room" to control more than 1 unit by name location. Assembly took Approximately 3 minutes. This is a wonderful Product!

    Air is dirty!

I never realized how dirty air actually is until I got the dust magnet. It's my first air purifier, so nothing to compare it to. However since using it in our living room, everyone has been less stuffy. My lady's spring allergies have been less severe as well. We've also not had to dust as much nor had the amount that I would associate with Spring and pollen season. While it's been in our living room, it seems to have improved the air quality and dust level in our bedroom as well. I attribute this to the close proximity to the bedroom door (about 7 feet away) Being able to use it as an end table is a great bonus and space saving feature. The app was a bit difficult to connect on my LG phone. My lady's iphone had no issue. It's very quiet, in fact I had to check once to see if it was still working. Based on how much dust/pollen the 5410 is picking up, my filter may not last as long as they say, but that's ok time will tell. My only complaint is it could use some USB ports for charging a phone/Laptop. With the design as it is, they could be integrated without ruining the look. I'm seriously impressed with this thing and recommend it.

Cleaner air in a nice package

This is my first air purifier and I am sorry I did not get one sooner. I have 3 cats along with allergies and I have already noticed a different with this dust magnet. Setup was simple and fast, just remove some plastic, screw on the legs and plug it in. Setup of the app was just as easy as well. I love that I can see my air quality status on the machine but also in great detail through the app. I placed this is in my home office where I have been spending most of my time lately. I have carpeting in here and naturally the cats are here in much of the day as well. This air purifier has been a great addition to the room and also can be used as a side table (or a cat perch by my window). It offers plenty of coverage for my 16x13 office and I may even get another one for my bedroom!

Looks good but has some quirks

I really wanted to love this unit. The style looked great, the filter set up is nice and the added Google assistant compatibility was a plus, but the quirks of using this unit make it more trouble than I care for. In the box you get the unit and filters. It uses two blue air filters. Blue air has their own technology so they don't use HEPA filters. They say they are better but you be the judge there, I wish they'd just use the industry standard here. It also has two wire mesh screen filters that easily pull out the back to be cleaned. Setting it up is fairly easy. It uses Bluetooth to connect to the app that will show you your air quality and let you change the units settings right from the app. It has some neat feature like locking the physical buttons so little ones can't turn it off. This was actually a really useful feature for my house with toddlers. While this is marketed as a smart air filter, know that it uses Google assistant skills not Google home. So if you are expecting to add this to your smart home to easily turn off and on you'll be a little disappointed. Instead you have to add blue air to Google assistant and ask Google to talk to blue ai4 any time you want to interact. I find the things it can do to be pretty limited and I had a hard time ever getting it to work. The biggest quirk of this unit is that sometimes it will decide to stop spinning on auto mode and the only way I've found to get it going again is to turn it off and on. Overall I really like the look of this unit it feels well built and looks nice. But with the weird quirks above I struggle to recommend this air filter to anyone.

Good Product with App Connection Issues

This is a good product. Looks: 5 stars. Sleek and modern. The top can be used as an end table as well as long as you do not go over 10 pounds, I believe. Looks are important in my case at least as I have put this in the living room where we have carpet and hence more dust. It is also the room where my children spend a lot of time. So when guests will come over the unit should look respectable. And it does. Usability: It is quite light weight, at least for me. The filters are at the top and bottom. Before you plug it in for the first time, remember to take the filters out from the plastics. There is a handle that will let you change filters easily. The app is intuitive. The buttons and the lights look classy. App usability: 3 stars. This is where it drops points. In my two days of use, the app has gotten disconnected from the unit a few times. And it is just by luck that it got reconnected again. Unplugging the unit did not help once. But it worked the next time. Restarting the app helped once but not the other time. For a smart unit, this should not happen. The website also states that you can use Alexa or Google to control the unit but my experience with the app has not been delightful enough to make me want to experiment more. On the positive side, one can follow the air pollution curve with its colors quite easily with the app. The light on the unit will turn from red, to orange, to green, to blue, denoting the change in air quality. Note: The unit flashed orange every time the kitchen is being used to cook food, specially if some cooking oil is being used. It was quite interesting to note. The filters need to replaced from time to time. It is too early to ascertain how long each should last but the added cost needs to be taken into consideration by the consumer before they buy the unit. Note: Right now they are giving out an extended warranty on your existing one year warranty, on the Blue Air website. You need register your product with the serial number. This is a unique product for me as I have never had an air purifier in the past, that too a smart one. I hope they can sort out the app connectivity issues as this one looks like a keeper. I will recommend this to the consumers, specially if you live in an area where you get a lot of dust.

Quality Design and High End Performance

I’ve used several home air filters over the past few years, but this might be one of the most advanced yet. The features and performance make for an exciting new addition to any home. Immediately I noticed the design – cool and stylish. The mid-century modern legs, the clever end table design, and the neutral color all add up to a cool piece. The unit claims to filter 380 square feet of air every 12 minutes. That alone is an incredible feat. I suspect that is on its highest setting, which is pretty loud. However, setting the unit to auto or manually setting it to low results in a pretty pleasant low, if not near silent, hum. Another cool feature is the app connectivity. The process of connecting was painless, and the app has some cool features. You can monitor both the external and the internal air quality, monitor filter status, create schedules, and manage multiple filtration units. If you need a high-performance air filtration unit, look no further. This is a product of top end design, both in build quality and performance.

It appears that the DustMagnet is in fact working in our living room because I have been vacuuming for the last couple of weeks, and have noticed a significant different in how much less dust the vacuum needs to pick up. Even on our TV stand, there is literally no dust! First time I use one of these BlueAir purifier and it even seems to help with dog hair. I am excited to see it in action this summer because we get a lot of pollen in the Colorado mountains, and so I am excited that now we have this. Overall, the design is sleek and modern. I have white walls so it blends perfectly. The app is user friendly and super easy to set up. Happy with the product in 2 weeks of use!!

Living between a major California freeway and a concrete factory has various problems, dust being a particularly obvious one. We have also had air qualities issues due to California's wildfire season. So far, this machine has been a good solution. We have it running in the bedroom where much of the furniture is black and dust is obvious. Dust accumulation, while not zero, has definitely been significantly reduced. We really appreciate that. Other really important things include a sleep setting that shuts off the LEDs. I have real problems with sleep and any distractions are bad. That I can turn off the LEDs really ups my love of this machine. I recommend this.

While the Blueair Dustmagnet does have voice control from a digital assistant, such as Google, Siri, or Alexa, which is very cool, I love the simplicity. It has an auto mode, which will take the worry out of your air purification. It will sense the level of debris in the air and adjust its performance automatically. I also love the "end table" style so that this isn't a device you need to figure out where to hide, you can actually use it to put things on. It looks great next to my work desk.
