This unit quickly proves it is worth the investment as there is quite a noticeable difference walking into this room from another! It is quiet until you set it on the highest output setting where it then dwarfs the ambient noise from my desktop computer in the same room. I've not yet had to replace the filter so it'll be interesting to see what it is cleaning out of the room's air!

Truly improves the quality of air inside our home. I have purchased several - different sizes. My children all have the smaller ones in their rooms and they all have stated sleeping better and less allergies. My husband even states he feels better and sleeps better.

I purchased this filter, along with the SmokeStop replacement filter with charcoal for the area near my cat litter box without first checking the direction of the air flow. Unfortunately, the air flow doesn't move in the direction of my larger BlueAir 650E so I ended up moving it into my bedroom, as it is the only other suitable large area that could use the filtration. I've not used the unit with standard filters so I can't give my opinion on those, but I can say that the unit moves some serious air... from right to left with the 'front' facing you, or left to right with it away from you (the important specification I didn't check!). I usually sleep with the unit's fan on level 2, though it has to be across the room, as the noise will grate on you if placed next to the bed with the blower facing the head of the bed. It's not LOUD on that fan speed, it's just the frequency of the sound. I'm sure it's more livable on the lowest fan speed of 'HepaSilent', but as an allergy sufferer with a cat (whom I'm allergic to), I keep it at 2-3. Reading other reviews online, there are definitely less expensive filtration units, and certainly MUCH smaller units (this unit is about the size of a laundry hamper and, as I said, the air moves from side to side, not in through the front/bottom and out the top/sides like other competing units - so make sure there's plenty of room!) but none of them can clear the allergens from the room as fast as a BlueAir unit. The one thing I wish the unit came with was a remote or an automatic setting like my 650E. I researched the Sense+ series from BlueAir before this purchase, but while they allow you to control the unit remotely, they still require an additional air quality sensor for automated control and they don't have the high CADR of the Classic series. Keep in mind the replacement filter costs when purchasing this unit, as they do recommend replacing them every 6 months.

Me and my boyfriend purchased this because I'm allergic to the cats that we have and have very bad allergies to outdoors. Lately at night it's been getting hard to breathe and sleep. A couple of hours after we bought this I could breathe much better. It's gotten rid of the cat/dog smell and the cat litter smell too! It's great and for sure recommend it to anyone with allergies.

I purchased this purifier based on the reviews. I was looking for a purifier for a 16x20 bedroom, and one that could remove pet dander. The purifier was received this on a Friday and hooked it up immediately. For the first time in over 8 years I was NOT congested when I awoke. I love everything about this purifier. I would advise anyone to buy this purifier.

I purchased this Air Purifier because of my allergies and congestion problems. I can honestly say that I've only had it 2 days and notice a big change in my allergies. It seems to be doing the job so far. I like the unit because it's quiet and I can sleep even with it on mid range. This Unit was quite costly but it's well worth it, especially if you have bad allergies.

This product is amazing. We have 2 dogs and a cat, and it makes the house smell clean, reduces dust and pet hair in the air. Overall great. A little loud on the high setting but all other settings don't make much noise. The only real problem is that BB never has replacement filters. I have been waiting for weeks because mine needs replacing and they are always out of stock, and calling them they say check back Sunday.

I bought this because I am allergic to my own cat and couldn't breath anymore. As a last resort I purchased the purifier because it promised to remove 99.97% and pet dander. Well I can't actually test the air, but I can breath again and I get to keep my cat. It is a little big and bulky, but it looks nice.

We have had the Blueair for about 2 weeks. We love it!! We don't have any more pet smell in our room. My husband sleeps better and no longer wakes up feeling congested. We don't have all the dust particles flying around in the air which is nice, our neighbors are constantly burning fires. We have no complaints it was easy to set up and use.
