BlueParrott M500-XT - Great for everyone

The BlueParrott M500-XT is one of those headsets that immediately feels like it was designed by people who actually *use* headsets all day. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and surprisingly easy to forget you’re even wearing it. With multiple ear tip sizes and an ultra-light frame, it fits securely without that annoying pressure or soreness you get from bulkier designs. If you spend hours on calls, this is the kind of comfort that genuinely makes a difference.
Comfort That Actually Holds Up
What stood out most is how natural it feels on your ear. The build quality is solid, but not heavy, and the ergonomic shape keeps it in place even during long stretches of back-to-back meetings. Whether you’re pacing around your office or taking calls on the go, it stays put without constant readjusting.
Clear, Pro Grade Audio
The dual noise cancelling microphones are the real star here. They do an excellent job filtering out background noise - keyboard clicks, office chatter, road noise, you name it - while keeping your voice crisp and clear. People on the other end hear *you*, not your environment. Even in a car, the mics cut through engine rumble and highway noise better than most headsets in this price range.
Battery Life That Matches a Full Workday
With up to 11 hours of talk time, you can get through an entire day without hunting for a charger. And if you do need a quick boost, the fast charging USB-C cable makes it easy to top up during a break. The 300 foot Bluetooth range is another underrated perk - you can walk around the office, grab coffee, or step into another room without dropping your connection (it dropped once when I walked out to my garage, but the walls are very thick and it's at the other end of my backyard).
Simple Controls and Smart App Integration
The physical buttons are placed exactly where your fingers naturally land, so you don’t have to fumble around mid-call. It’s intuitive right out of the box. The companion smartphone app adds another layer of customization, letting you tweak noise cancellation, mic sensitivity, and other settings to match your environment. It’s a nice touch for people who want more control over their audio setup.
Great for Real-World, Everyday Use
In daily use, the M500-XT shines. Hands-free calling works smoothly, and the headset can even read incoming texts aloud so you can stay focused on what you’re doing. For people who spend a lot of time in their vehicles - sales reps, delivery drivers, field workers - the call clarity is consistently impressive. Even at highway speeds, callers reported hearing me clearly.
Final Thoughts
The BlueParrott M500-XT delivers exactly what professionals need: comfort, clarity, long battery life, and reliable noise cancellation. It performs well in quiet offices, busy environments, and even loud vehicles. Considering the price and the feature set, it’s an excellent value and a dependable tool for anyone who needs to rely on clear communication throughout the day.

Fantastic For Phone Calls

If you go to the Blue Parrott website, you'd be left with the impression their headsets are for truckers. Well, I'm not a trucker. I'm a work from home, on phone calls all day long worker. And I needed a headset which had a battery that lasts a full day, sounds great and is comfortable for hours of wear. And that's where the M500-XT comes in. It's lightweight (weighing in at .71 oz). Extremely comfortable. Has 11 hours of battery life. Is simple in operation and it's well built. I think the marketing folks at Blue Parrott might want to reconsider the audience they're targeting. These are great for phone calls, no matter what you do for a living.
When you open the box, you see the headset and underneath is a USB A to USB C charging cable, along with two different sized ear tips. You'll want to download the Blue Parrott app from either the iOS or Android stores, charge them. Pairing is a simple process. When you power them on for the first time, they're in pairing mode and you open Bluetooth Settings, see the Blue Parrott M500-XT and tap pair. Then open the app and connect them to the app. Mine required an update out of the box, which only took a couple minutes.
They came out of the box with medium ear tips and I replaced them with the large tips. Interestingly, the ear tips can just rest in your ear, or you can reverse them to fit in your ear more like an earbud. But just resting in my ear sounds great, is comfortable and you'll honestly forget you have it attached to your head completely.
The M500-XT uses improved call quality with dual intelligent noice-cancelling microphone which uses Machine Learning and Precision Voice Pickup to eliminate 93% of the outside surrounding sounds. Translation, they're impeccably quiet and they deliver amazing clarity in phone calls.
They can be paired with up to 8 different devices and since I alternate phone calls with my iPhone and Video calls on my iPad, it's so easy to go back and forth. They also offer voice control. If a call is coming in, you can turn on a switch in the App which let's you just say "ANSWER" or IGNORE to answer or reject a call. Of course you can also tap the power button to answer a call or end a call too. The BlueParrot button on the side of the headset permits additional voice commands, such as "List Commands" - "Battery Status" - "Connection Status" - "Pairing" etc.
All in all, this Blue Parrott Headset is fantastic for people who need something lightweight, with a long lasting battery, simple to operate and sound terrific for phone calls. The Blue Parrott M500-XT met this goal and then some!

BlueParrott M500-XT Headset ~ AWESOME!

I needed a headset for making calls, so I was happy to receive this one. The package contains the headset, a USB-C charging cable (charger not included), three earbud tips in sizes S, M, and L, along with a safety and warranty leaflet. The first thing I did was charge the headset since the small indicator light was orange; it turned green once fully charged. Next, I downloaded the BlueParrott app and paired the headset with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. After pairing, I launched the app, connected the device, and completed the registration process. The app offers various customizable options, but overall, the headset itself is very straightforward to operate. I immediately installed an available update through the app.
Using the controls is a breeze! The functions include powering on/off (by holding the button), answering, ending, or rejecting calls (hold), activating voice assistant (press), pairing mode (double press), a status LED, volume controls, a USB-C charging port, and muting both microphone and audio by lifting the boom arm. The round BlueParrott button can be customized for features such as voice control, battery status, muting, third-party app integration, a second multifunction button, and call management. The headset also provides about a 10-second sound check recording to let you hear your own voice.
I appreciate the excellent sound quality of this headset—it’s the best one I own. I keep the noise cancellation feature on constantly, and it works effectively. Everyone I’ve spoken with says my voice sounds crystal clear, and I can hear them clearly as well. The headset is designed for use on either ear. When I move about 100 feet away from my phone, people sometimes mention an echo in my voice, although I still hear them clearly. This is not a major issue since I usually keep my phone close.
Overall, I am completely satisfied with this BlueParrott headset. It is lightweight, comfortable, delivers high-quality calls, and is easy to use. I absolutely love them and can highly recommend ~ you won’t regret buying these!

Excellent Call Quality and Battery Life

The BlueParrott M500-XT is Bluetooth headset for your phone or PC with excellent battery life, great microphone noise cancellation, and a clear speaker. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. Pairing is simple. The BlueParrott app was simple and easy to use. My only nitpick of this headset is that it was a bit uncomfortable wearing the headset with my glasses. The earpiece on the headset and my glasses were fighting for the same space. Still, I could wear the headset with my glasses, and call quality and battery life have been excellent. Nitpicks aside, this is an easy recommendation.
Unboxing: BlueParrot includes the headset, two additional ear gels, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.
Experience: Call quality was quite exceptional. We have had several windy days lately, and I had no difficulties with calls. Battery life is on track for the 11-hour estimate. The buttons on the headset are intuitive and the BlueParrott app allows you to customize the button further.
The ear gel tips can be inverted to get a more secure fit, but this headset does not go into the ear canal itself. It looks like a big headset, but I forgot I was wearing it after a bit.
The only exception to my comfort was that the headset was a tight fit with my glasses. If you do not wear glasses or have thin enough frames, this might not be an issue for you.
Conclusion: I really like the headset. It works well. I have some personal nitpicks about comfort, but, overall, I still feel like this is an easy headset to recommend. 5/5

Nice work headset

The BlueParrot M500-XT is a great headset for those who need a headset for the home office or those who work on the road. The headset comes with small, medium or large ear tips, a usb-c charging cable, no charging brick but that’s pretty much the norm these days. The headset has a flip to mute mic and the BlueParrott side button can be mapped for different functions thru the app.
The headset has Bluetooth 5.3, this gives you greater freedom to move around and away from your phone/tablet and still have good call/audio quality. With two noise canceling mics it also means the person you're talking to will hear you and not the noise around you. With two little dogs that like to bark at anything I can confirm they work. While on a call the person I was talking to said they didn’t hear them when they started barking. The headset’s design is very comfortable and has only three simple well defined buttons on the back, power and volume up and down. BlueParrott claims up to 11 hours of battery life. The M500-XT is a great option if you need a work headset that offers noise canceling and unlike earbuds you won’t have worry about them falling out while taking an important call.

Looking for a compact we are bud that is compatible with business push to talk to features?
Parrot M500XT just might be what you want.
Setup was super simple. Plug in to charge. Download the app. Turn on the ear bud and follow the directions to pair and connect to the app and you are all set.
Settings for the parrot button can be configured in the app. To access voice assistant push the power button.
Overall comfort is good. I wore for 2 days straight and it started to give me a little ear ache but its because I am not used to it. There are different options for the size of the bud so you can adjust accordingly.
Battery life is great. 2 straight days of calls and I used it for listening to music and I am at 50%.
Range is good. I can leave my phone in an adjacent room and walk around and it won't cut me out.
Clarity is good. Folks on the phone did not complain about wind or noise.
Size is nice. Not so bulky like other devices.
Overall. Great device for what it is intended. Nice job blueparrot.

Easy to Operate; Clear Calling; Well Designed

This Blue Parrot M500-XT headset is lightweight and simple to operate. It was very easy to initially set up. When I turned it on and paired it with my phone, it connected immediately and pulled up the Blue Parrot app in the Play Store with a prompt to download. After downloading and installing the app It walks through the setup of various options including downloading an initial update.
There's four On/Off options on the app home page- SMS Reader, Mute w/boom arm, Voice controls for incoming calls, and Headset status Voice notifications. With the SMS Reader, there is the additional option of having the contact name read out instead of the phone number. When Voice Control is On, you can say Answer or Ignore to incoming calls. I was disappointed to discover that incoming calls are in no way identified by the headset. If you're not looking at your phone, you're answering blind. It would be nice if the headset announced the caller.
The Blue Parrot button on the headset has six options to choose from for its function- Battery Status, Mute/Unmute while on a call, Third party app (there's a list of seven mobile apps to choose from that can be connected to, including the 3 majors - AT&T Enhanced PTT, T-Mobile, Verizon Push to Talk Plus), Voice Control, Second MFB(multi-function button for a second paired device), and Answer/End call. The Voice Control commands are limited to- Answer, Ignore, List Commands, Pairing, Connection Status, Battery Status, Cancel.
The headset is as I mentioned lightweight and fits loosely over the ear, not in the ear canal. At first I was concerned that it was not secure on my ear, but I wore it for several hours doing chores around the house including bending and reaching and I was happy to find it stays put and is comfortable - probably due to the fact of its loose fit. The eargel is kind of bell shaped with the wide part facing the ear. It can be pulled off and turned around so the narrower part is facing the ear canal.
The Blue Parrot headset has 80% noise cancelling mic. Communication is very clear both ways, talking and listening on the headset and for the person you're talking to. Besides the customizable Blue Parrot button, there's the on/off multi-function button and volume up/down buttons. The multi-function button besides On/Off is used for Pairing, Voice Assistant, and Answer/Reject a call. Using Voice Assistant, you can command it to make calls to your phone contacts.
Battery life is supposed to be 11 hours of talk time. I had it on for several hours making one short call and fiddling with the options and it only used 2% of its battery life, so the 11 hours seems reasonable. The wireless range is supposed to be 300 feet, but I found that not to be the case, at least not with walls for obstacles. I got disconnected a little over 100 feet from my house with my phone lying on my dining table. Moving the phone from the dining table to a back hall window facing the direction I was walking I was able to get about 125 feet away without disconnecting. So maybe straight line with no obstacles the range will approach 300 feet.
Included with the headset is a USB charging cable and a small and large eargel. It comes with the medium sized eargel attached.
Overall, this headset is comfortable to wear and easy to operate. Calls are good quality and it has a good quality build. It's designed for people who do a lot of driving for a living, and it seems well-designed and highly functional for that role.

I recently picked up the BlueParrott M500 XT and overall it feels like a solid headset for calls. I was looking for something comfortable that could still perform well in louder environments, and this one seems designed with that in mind. The noise cancelling microphone is one of the main reasons I chose it, and during calls people have said my voice comes through clearly even when there is background noise around me.
The headset itself feels lightweight but still durable. It is comfortable enough to wear for longer periods, and the fit feels secure without being too tight. Pairing it with my phone was quick and the Bluetooth connection has been stable so far without any drop issues.
One thing I did notice is that the design is a little more focused on function than style. It is not the most sleek looking headset, and it definitely has more of a work focused feel to it. The controls can also take a little time to get used to at first, especially if you are coming from a simpler Bluetooth headset. I also wish the ear cushion had just a little more padding for longer use.
That said, the call quality and microphone performance are where this headset really shines. If you need something reliable for work calls and want a headset that focuses on clear communication, this is a solid option.
