Well, I can't tell how Great an HBO show is, This is the Disc version. What I can tell you is Best Buy had the complete Fifth season, the final season my Mom and I missed do to a secondary stroke that put her in a health care facility. She recovered mentally however it left paralized on her left side. O-kay, here's the deal, Ya' ever been shopping only to find out you have to get it online anyway, either because out if stock or too pricey. My mum is running out of time so to delay any enjoyment wasn't an option for me, any longer. She went into care right after her 96 birthday. We both missed the final season. I have just purchased a few items at Best Buy. So, I checked out if they happened to have the Final Season of "BOARDWALK EMPIRE." And sure enough, brought the last 3 disc collection going straight to Mum's home right after. It's a 3 disc, eight episode season. We watched the first three episodes and will continue to finish when I go back to visit. What a joy to finish what you start. Thank you, Best Buy

I've been a fan of the series ever since I caught the premiere and followed it ever since. It's a shame that the series came to an end at Season 5 because they could've went even further. The only disappointing thing about this season was that because it was shortened to 8 episodes, instead of the usual 12, they didn't show the murder of Arnold Rothstein, they didn't show the St. Valentine's Day Massacre and in the end, everything seemed rushed as they had to cram everything in 8 episodes. But nonetheless, I loved the show, I loved the acting and this series is constantly in my rotation of shows I watch repeatedly on Blu-Ray.

In the fifth installment of Boardwalk Empire all of the regular characters continue to bring their A game to this amazing series. Highlighted character Al Capone shows his grit and determination to reign as number one Chicago bad guy. The orchestrated "wars" were nothing short of thrilling. If this is the series finale I would say they wrapped things up nicely, but sure hope there is more coming, as so much more material could be covered. A winning cast, a winning directorial team, and just a wonderful bit of "lore" to be covered!!

This is the conclusion of the Boardwalk Empire, a great series and experience. Far more fiction than fact, never the less, it gave a great feel for the era and offered incredible performances. More than one surprise awaits you in this show. My only criticism is that in the last season they didn't really offer much, as compared to other seasons, of special features and that they left the DVD out of the BlueRay/Digital combo, as it had been included in the previous season combo sets. On sale, it would be a worthwhile buy.

Final Season of the series, still has all the makings of a HBO masterpiece. Pros: -Balanced action, story and characters. -An ending well fitting to the story Cons: -2 episodes shorter than the previous seasons For anyone who has seen Game of Thrones and wants something different but the same, Check Out "Boardwalk Empire", 1920's galore!

Through 5 seasons, Boardwalk Empire was a compelling, fictionalized look back at one of the most turbulent times in American history. An amazing cast & story, the last season wrapped things up in encapsulating the life of Nucky Thompson and how his life shaped his choices and the consequences of those choices. Highly recommend this series!

I didn't watch Boardwalk Empire from the beginning, but once I started watching the show, I was instantly hooked. I had to do some binge watching to get the first two seasons in so that I could get up-to-date. The last season was awesome and although the ending was shocking, it was the perfect ending because it brought everything full circle. Loved the audio commentaries included in the complete 5th season set.

Since I don't have pay TV I've been waiting impatiently for the release of the final season of Boardwalk Empire, a series I've throroughly enjoyed. Over the course of two evenings I've watched half the episodes, and the plot twists are terrific so far.... I have a feeling that when I get to the end I'm going to start watching the entire series all over again from the very first episode of the very first season!

My wife got me into this series. It tells a cool story about the rise of Atlantic city as a gambling mecca. Reasonably well written and acted. It has everything you need for a roaring (20s) good time: prohibition, gambling, bootlegging. And you thought this stuff only happened in Vegas!

As a student of history, I have always felt that TV series such as Boardwalk Empire have a place in educating the public about our past. The only caveat is to understand that we must realize that the dramatic presentation may not always follow the exact factual history of events.

Boardwalk Empire's final season may not be as action packed as its predecessors, but it ends all the characters' stories on a satisfying note. That's a rare find when it comes to series finales.

Boardwalk Empire was one of the best series I have seen on the era spanning 1918 to the 1930's. It was very entertaining. Everything was historic & the scenes breath taking indoor or out. The filming in & around New York historic areas was great. This last season was a must have to complete the series.

What's also disappointing only 8 episodes. Jumps up in time, Mr. Rothstein is no longer aboard, Al Capone has gotten meaner and crazier. Also goes back in time a younger Nucky, get to see how it all started. Gonna miss this show, used to bypass Sunday Night Football, for the episodes.

It was a good run while it lasted one of the hottest hbo shows ever. Would buy again. if you've never seen must buy but start at the beginning. Was going to give a 4 star because it was last season but could not do it

I enjoyed the series very much. This was a good ending to a show I enjoyed watching. Loved the shoes. Characters were some strange people with lots of personal problems but it is just pretend. Liked it

Boardwalk Empire was so good that I had to have the set. Best Buy had the 5th season on sale, so I completed the set. I am watching it again. I still cant believe all of the parts I missed the first time on tv. It is a Great series.

Husband and I waited for it to come and the CSR's at Best Buy were a great help in giving us release dates and provided us with the appropriate date to come in the store to pick it up. We were hanging on the edge of our seats waiting for it. Great series.

It is sad to see such a good show come to an end. This season is just as good as previous seasons and provides an interesting finale to a great series.

Bought the whole set, seasons 1-5, Great series and a fantastic add to my collection, pre ordered season 5 and was delivered as promised on time per release date. Only sad comment is no season 6, but better to go out on top and great ending as well

The Series could have gone on two more seasons !! Way too much time travel bouncing around and not enough time to introduce first time characters that would play Monumental Roles .... Too much of killing off lead characters just because it was the Last Season ... HBO had a good thing and ended it way too soon and abruptly ! BUT YOU have to Watch to See how it ends in AC !!
