This is definitely one of the better clear cases I have tried for the several iPhones I have had over the years. For one, it is thin but not too thin--it provides the protection and peace of mind from drops and scratches, but does not make the phone thick and heavy. The back is clear, but does not pick up every little piece of dust or lint. While the clear back is smooth and slippery, there are raised ridges on all four sides of the case, which give a good grippy feel when grabbing for the iPhone and when holding it. I keep my iPhone mostly in my back pocket, and I like that the smooth back makes slipping it in and out quite easy. There is a raised lip framing the camera lenses which will clearly protect them as well. The openings for the speakers, charging port, and mute button are aligned correctly, and the covers over the volume and on/off buttons are easy to press. Also, it is definitely MagSafe compatible; I tried it with both my official Apple MagSafe charger and my Anker one. Only time will tell if this case will yellow over time, which is the one eventuality that almost always happens with every clear case I have ever tried. (Also, we have an iPhone 12 Pro Max in our household as well so I tried this case out on it and it worked just as well.) I would recommend this case to anyone with either a 13 or 12 Pro Max, who wants a clear case.

Great bodyguard case. Great protection and feel comfortable in the hand.

Middle of the road case. Nothing overly special about it. Appears to provide good protection and fits snug. Would be better if I was not so slippery. Has texture on the sides but that doesn’t seem to be enough. Now that I have had it for a while, I still don’t love it and think I paid too much for it.

Let me first say, this case does the one thing it’s meant to do well, which is protect your phone, pretty well. I’ve dropped my phone multiple times and haven’t had a hint of damage. My only knock is the way it works with MagSafe. Yes it will work with MagSafe, but the MagSafe charger falls off pretty easily due to the material of the case.

The BodyGuardz Carve Classic case has a deceptively minimalist design and an inexpensive price tag. The price and first look might make you think that this is just another clear TPU/plastic case with some eco-friendly materials; I think that can be forgiven in a crowded market, but the Carve sports some intelligent features that lift it above the basic covers you'll see on the market. The clear version I received is truly clear and lets the color of your iPhone show through beautifully. I liked that the BodyGuardz Carve is easy to put on and take off, and the materials feel sturdy enough that they will not distort from this kind of use. I have a Backbone One controller for the iPhone and I've really liked being able to slip the Carve on and off before and after gaming sessions. I also like the raised material around the camera lenses and the screen. You can feel confident laying this down without scratching the delicate part of your expensive 13 Pro Max. Finally, I have not been able to use it yet, but I like that the case is thin enough to allow MagSafe to work for wireless charging. Kudos to that! The only negative I've experienced with the Carve is that it isn't very oleophobic - fingerprints show up quite easily on the case, and depending on the color of your iPhone, you may or may not grow to hate this. You can just wipe them off, of course, but it's still a side effect of using a clear case that I thought I should bring up in the review.

It seems to me that one of the main things we look for when we buy a phone case is that it can protect it against falls and scratches and of course that it looks good, this case does both exceptionally well. Personally I really like the clear cases, I like the color of my phone and gives it a more minimalist look. The case is not heavy, it is not bulky, it seems to me of a fair size as it feels that the phone is really protected, also on the sides has a design that allows a grip and greater protection, besides being something very useful looks very good. On the other hand what I find a bit exaggerated is the packaging that although it does not affect the use of the case, it is too much cardboard and plastic. In daily use I have not found any inconvenience, the material of the case allows you to take it out and put it in my pockets without any inconvenience, if it is put on any surface does not slip and the fact that the contour has that ergonomic design type, allows a better grip when maneuvering with the phone. Definitely along with a screen protector is the perfect combo to have my iPhone 13 pro max protected, fully recommended.
