Excellent new addition to my Tivo family, this time with streaming capabilities and improved storage!

I LOVE the commercial skip feature. I like that I can avoid paying rental fees for cable boxes when I bought my mini's to connect back to my TiVo for my other TV sets in my house. I dislike the TV guide. All in all, I recommend this to people tired of paying extra fees for watching TV at home.

Item is just as described, it's so great to cut the cord and have this device to record off of our OTA digital antenna or wifi by itself. My wife and I love it's ease of use and can record so many shows. I would advise anyone to step out and start saving money while getting so much more!

The new Tivo is the best DVR on the market today. It's like owning a smart DVR. It has a smart guide, recommends movies and shows to watch, and comes pre-loaded with apps like Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon TV. But the greatest feature is the Skip Commercial button. Can't live without it now.

Bought this because Spectrum DVR would only record 2 shows at a time. Unacceptable. So, bought the TiVo Bolt and have been very pleased, especially with the "Skip" feature for selected shows which enables me to skip commercials. Requires CableCard, which reduces my Spectrum bill.

I really like this product and I'm impressed on how well it works. I just switched from using the Directv Genine DVR system and like how their system functioned and was worried about how I would like switching to TIVO. I have been using the system for about 2 weeks now and really like it. There was a little learning curve mostly because of having the other DVR system for so long. I love that I can set the OnePass system to record live OTA airings and streaming items at at the same time. I have used the Youtube browsing functions and really like it. Also I use Amazon Prime video and it works great too. There is a little delay of about 3-5 second when you switch from live tv to these apps but it beats having to switch devices. Overall I like the system and am glad I purchased it.

It's a Tivo! Nough said. I havent owned one in several years and when i got FIOS i decided to go with a cablecard and Tivo. Interface is smooth if a bit laggy at times. I've learned that prioritizing your OnePasses are crucial to getting what you want recorded and not removed too quickly. Keep suggesrions turned off as Tivo will change the channel you're watching just to record something it thinks you want to see. Quickskip for primetime programming makes it worth the purchase by itself! I thought 4 tuners would be enough but it's so easy to schedule programming I wish I had opted for the new 6 tuner Tivo plus. Streaming is decent implementation but inconsistent in its interface. Dont throw out your Roku just yet. All and all the best DVR available.

It's so great to fast forward through commercials. Love the new guide and the features are even better. Easy set up. But not real compatible with cox cable. Took a week and six calls to cox. And two trips to cox and finally a service call. Changed out the MCArd and finally worked.

upgraded from the Series 4 for the 4 channels, more storage and mostly the ability to "skip" total commercial segments instead of the 30 second FF. However, the "skip" mode has only worked on a few of the shows I recorded. Read the fine print.. Overall I'm happy with it.

This TiVo box did not meet our expectations mainly because the quality of the taped shows, several stops and skips on various shows, and the box itself doesn't respond to the remote very well. It takes several clicks before it responds. We changed the batteries and it made no difference. We will be returning this box.

Much better than the older versions. Did you know it also looks for streaming based on your subscriptions? Love the skip feature. One word of caution is that if you're new to TiVo you'll need a cable decoder card from your cable provider.

This Tivo does exactly what it's supposed to. After doing lots of research online, This was the best 3rd party DVR that my cable company would support. Great picture, good sound. The app feature is super nice and it will merge itself with Netflix so if there are episodes of a TV show that you record that are also on Netflix, it will list them. It was also fortunate that I was able to get a very knowledgeable who knew how to pair cablecards without any hiccups. I have had this DVR for about 6 weeks now, and have had very few issues. Very nice alternative compared to the boxes that Charter provides. Also, this box WILL NOT work without paying TIvo subscription fees, and it will not work without an internet connection either, so make sure both of those are taken care of when setting up this box.

I turned in my multi room DVR with voyager service and replaced it with this TIVO. Although the Mini-TIVOs are a good idea they just would not work with my internet setup so I had to return them. Every time I got them to connect via the cable network it would kill my access to the internet. But I did find a work around using the TIVO APP and some Amazon FireTV sticks. With those every TV with an open DVI connector can watch any show recorded on the TIVO via a wireless internet connection. Using the TIVO app on your phone or tablet you can both watch any of your TIVO recordings by using the TV guide available in the TIVO APP and even watch live TV by just recording it first. Then it also shows up on all of the FIreSticks TIVO APPS under 'My Shows'.

Great product for what I needed, getting rid of cable.

This is our first TiVo. We bought it as part of our cord-cutting plan. I can't say I really like the user interface. We had DIRECTV before and the genie DVR is much easier. We already have an AppleTV and an Amazon Fire streaming device on top of our new Samsung 4K smart tv so the streaming capabilities of the TiVo weren't that necessary for us. Likes: DVR for antenna tv Streaming capabilities to our phones and tablets Dislikes: Monthly fee Interface Most of the time when we have tried to streamed Netflix or Amazon Prime the screen is blank, but the sound works I'm not sure I would purchase it again.

I was a Direct customer for years. Finally got tired of my partner bugging me to get rid of them. The only reason I was reluctant was because I fly on business ALOT and used my Genie Go from Direct to download my recored shows to my ipad to watch in flight where I have no internet. After doing research I found that the Tivo Bolt worked with OTA and also had the download capabilities. Have been using it for about a month and LOVE it.

Acquired this box to substitute for the Cable Box and DVR. Saved a bundle not having to pay for a awful, energy consuming cable decoder box, and DVR subscription. I figure I will have a payback within 15 months. TIVO has always been easy to use, and still is. Commissioning the device on your cable system, can be a long time - most cable companies don't like "foreign" equipment on their network, think ATT v. CarterPhone and work with the cable people. You will still have to get a M-Type CableCard to use it, but it is so worth it. And it supports several streaming services to boot.
