I have loved tivo since it first came out in 2000. It's still the best DVR on the market.

We use the TiVo connected to a roof-mounted antenna and pull in all the local channels in crispy HD. The 500 GB capacity means we need to keep a close (but not obsessive) eye on the list of recordings to make sure we have enough space for everything.

This TiVo works wonderfully. Interface is fast and responsive. Decent amount of space to record your shows. Easy to buy a new drive and upgrade to a larger drive. Monthly fee isn’t too bad and usually not much more than your cable company charges to use their crappy boxes. A good investment.

Great system works well only complaint is you can’t view on demand shows. Another disappointment is if you get the pay channels you have to get a box to use through spectrum. You can only add a mini if you hardwire unless you are really good with electronics then you can download a different program which seemed to hard to get done so i passed.

Didn't work well with OTA antenna. TiVo tech support said this model not intended to work with OTA. When cancelling subscription (obligatory for initial setup) was told it should work. Antenna worked fine until connected to weak TiVo tuner. Switched to HDHomerun and bought cloud drive. Much less expensive. Works better.

The device was easy to setup to the TV and internet. But no way to get recorded video out to PC. And, highest subscription rate of any company is a really big turnoff. It was the fine print in very light color on the back of the box that is hard to see where they say it won't function at all without the high subscription cost!!! Hope Best Buy takes it back.

SOOOOOOO Much better than paying your cable company like 10 a month for a giant pile of garbage DVR that's like 10 years old. Also, the "skip" feature in the DVR.....SOOOO AWESOME

Product itself is great. I truly believe it upscales your HD channels withthe cable card attachement. Dont like the fee for tivo. Doesn’t necessarily save money but you can switch providers and keep saved content

Plugged in and eventually worked. But lasted only one day. TiVo pushed an updated which caused the unit to get stuck forever. Returned.

I don’t have any problems with. But now that I have move and the only cable provider in my area AT&T, I’m not able to use it. I just wish I can use it with all cable companies.
