Got this phone to replace a damaged Samsung S3. Overall very satisfied with its performance. Quick quad core processor suffers no noticeable lag with videos even with only 1GB of memory. Works well with Chromecast too. It does everything the S3 does...even somethings faster. Battery life is very good. Not a camera aficionado but the pictures I've taken have turned out well. Screen resolution is plenty good even though it doesn't match the S3 level. Call quality good so far. Wish it had more memory than 1gb memory but I'm not complaining as it functions very well for what I need it to do. If you're a big app user this phone is not for you. Almost half of the 8GB of storage is used before even turning it on...but so far I still have 2.5GB available plus the SD card slot so its enough storage capacity for my usage. The built in remote is a bonus and which I use to control my TV. I plan to buy another one if it ever goes back on sale at the 54.99 I got it at. Overall it was a great value for the money. I am done buying the top of the line super-expensive phones.

As a somewhat novice SmartPhone buyer, I counted on the knowledgeable BestBuy staff to advise. I purchased a 4G LG Volt & the staff in conjunction with the quality LG Volt, I am, as always, a VERY satisfied BestBuy customer. Thanx BestBuy staff.

Purchased this to replace the Boost LG Optimus F7 - which I owned for nearly two years and loved it until the software corrupted. Really liked all the features LG phones offer, and had a lot less issues than other Boost phone brands offered (except for Apple products if you don't mind spending the money). LG phones don't seem to freeze like previous brands I've experienced. I wanted to stick with an Android platform for the access to all the apps I use on a day to day basis, so Windows was out of the question. I've used this phone for about 3 weeks; calls, txt, web, social media & many other apps, calendar, camera - no issues. My main concern when choosing a cell phone is battery life. Talk time is important, then processor speed, expandable memory, camera quality. This inexpensive no-contract 4G LTE phone suits my needs.

i bought this for my lady, she was upgrading from a transform ultra ( go ahead n Ladd / get it out ) yea she old school! She LOVES it, obviously! The phone turns on and off fast. Very good processor, fast, camera a lot better than on most pay as you go phones. Great screen size, and it actually does have the thick gorilla glass as it claims, not like the Galaxy 3 which had a lesser than gorilla shall we say piece of whatever on it. Not pre loaded with tons of junk apps as I call them, but mostly just your basic go to apps like navigation / maps / Google, it does have some lame boost endorsed apps on it but at least on this phone you can either turn them off or it will allow you to delete. Another nice thing is the memory. As long as your not slamming the memory with games, remember to clear your caches and it all good! This phone gets 4 stars, nothing gets 5 because nothing is perfect. I'm not the type of person who dislikes one minor thing about something then floods the reviews with hater comments, if it's good it's good. It's good... So good in fact I went out 2 weeks later and bought another for my youngest son...he too is thrilled with it. One other bad thing, not the phones fault, is that there are no really good protective cases for the Volt, I did find some nice ones on eBay and Amazon that will be just fine. You won't be disappointed should you purchase this phone. It's not an iPhone 6 or a galaxy 5 but if you are just getting a phone for what they were intended for then the Volt is a great buy! I used to have a galaxy 4 and the Volt in comparison is very close, very close, and the screen size is the same as an iPhone 6...I have the iPhone 6 that's how I know. PROCEED!!

I got this for 54.99 on the daily deal sale. Overall this phone excels for everything I need it to do. Apps work flawlessly. I watch live baseball with no lagging. Processor speed results in fast browsing. A few downsides...only around 4GB of board memory left out of the box, but expandable via SD card, and only 1GB of ram but for the price and the performance so far I'm satisfied. I've manged the memory and still have over 2 GB left but I'm not a heavy app user by no means. This is an excellent first phone for a kid. My daughter wrecked 2 high end phones so far and it cost a lot to replace them...this will be her next phone for sure if disaster strikes again. Boost is adequate so far...coverage by me is just fair...miss some texts from time to time but that's not the phones fault.

Love this phone, very fast, great pictures and the battery can't be beat! I put a 32GB SD card in it, works great. Only complaint is can't do internet and take a call at the same time.

Internet speed is awesome (compared to my last phone- galaxy s2 that I spent $300 on years ago). I think it does everything one of those expensive phones do. I did a lot of research to buy this phone. Battery life is like 2 days- good amount of use. Camera is good too. Only downside is I cannot put it on speaker and drive cause the person on the other end complains " All I hear is static!!" (otherwise rating would be 5 stars). I would buy it again. Also got a good phone case off amazon with a holster for $5.00- fit perfectly & protects with the ideas of an otter box (otter box does not make a case for this phone). Overall great value for the money, I will never buy one of those overpriced phones again.

This phone is amazing! Those of you who have discovered the perks of being on a contractless plan can now enjoy some serious pocket sized firepower in the way of this smartphone. I stepped up from a Virgin Mobile Kyocera Rise(which sucked weeks into usage) to the Volt, on Boost Mobile. Oddly enough, I'm more pleased with Boost's perfomance over Virgin- but the run off of the same towers... This phone, at its price, seriously exceeded my expectations. I have it in the back of my head that because it only has 1GB of RAM, i should be expecting it to slow down and occasionaly lag...but I haven't experienced anything like that at all! My first choice for an awesome smartphone experience would have been the Samsung S5..or because of my budget the S3.. The Volt, at less than half the cost of the S5 is almost comparable in performance(not quite features) but i believe the specs out perform the the S3(also at a better price) If you can do better, than go for it! But if you don't need all the newest and fanciest of bells and whistles then look no further!

My experience with Boost Android phones is that I should plan on replacing it about once a year. I've owned a Galaxy Prevail, Galaxy SII, LG7 and now the LG Volt. So far as the annual purchase date approaches the phone starts acting odd and doing tasks on it's own. The last one completely froze. The one before that wouldn't hold a charge and would restart at random. The Prevail was just a bad phone from the start. For that reason I try not to invest too much money in a phone. Since the Best Buy price was half of the Boost online prices I also opted for the extra warranty this time. Also chose the warranty because I like this phone well enough to want another one just like it when this one starts to act crazy. This phone has excellent battery life. The RAM is not as much as I'd like but it serves the purpose for now. It's fast enough and has some nice features. I really wish Boost would quit wasting memory with their pre installed software and let me choose the software I want at activation.

My son had purchased one of these phones during Black Friday and kept raving about it. I still had a older phone that worked great but when I looked into this phone could not believe all the bells and whistles it had - including HD quality voice. My son can even hear conversations without wearing his hearing aids. Easy to use - especially for a senior citizen like I am. For the price which was price matched by my local Best Buy it can not be beat! Battery lasts for almost 2 days, easy to use and understand AWESOME phone.

This was a great phone for the price of $140... I've had it for about 2 months and it's already lagging and acting slow. Something weird is that it's super light, which you would think is cool for a phone, but it's almost too light... The screen isn't the highest quality resolution, but I'm not watching movies or playing games, so that doesn't bother me. Its has some great Android features and the batter lasts a very long time! The camera is not bad either. Other than that, you get what you pay for....

When shopping for phones I realized there were just to much for a phone. I like to keep my life simple and use a phone for what it made for. Easy to use I really enjoy it and all the other stuff is just add bonus for me. But I would like to have for memory.

$80....This is a stable smart phone that I paid $80 for. Works as a tv remote, has kit-kat, doesn't freeze up on me. I like this phone as much as my M8 for the most part. The M8 is noticeably faster, but it costs about $700 also. $37.16 per month for decent service, I just don't see too many cons here.

It is everything it said it would be. The battery life is about a day and 1/2 and I play games, text, talk, run by schedule and email. I even get on facebook. the screen is a good size the phone is the right weight and I haven't had any glitches. In the unfortunate event something happens to this one I would by another LG Volt in a heartbeat.

**I've,been a Boost customer for years. I have to say I have had problems w some of the HTC phones that are available. The volt is an LG which I prefer & have had minimal problems with, The clarity of the phone iitself is great but have had some problems with the v/mail msgs It happens pretty frequently but it could be from the different types of automated services calling in, some very loud ,some clear & others you can barely hear at all. I've been just turning off speaker mostly then can hear, seldom but still faint. ,very faint. Not sure why that would make a difference that some are louder & clearer then others, :)anyone else w this problem? **It is kind of difficult when trying to do selfies or group pics... button just seems in a awkw0ard place where you r fumbling to hit bottom center button while trying to keep camera steady,Anyone else find this more annoying & difficult? My phone actually dropped & glass shattered ;( have to take it back to Best Buy, I just purchased it a few months ago so hopefully it's covered under insurance. **BUT,that being said,I love the phone, monthly price is awesome w same functions as a phone service w a contract which charges u at least three times as much....**Also when I purchased the correct case from the Boost store, I would talk to people & they always said it sounded it muffled, finally took case off to see by chance that was the problem & it was. So, need an appropriate case or maybe new design for speaking into...I would prefer to purchase from Best Buy as their is at least one person that is familiar w/ all aspects including transferring all info/data to new phone etc. w pre-paid.my past experience w Boost or even Metro stores, they really don't care r aren't knowledgeable. Most Best buys do not carry accessories for pre-paid phones, which I do have to actually have to find a Boost store. When I do go back to Best Buy to trade phone from broken screen, I will get another Volt LG sorry just realized how long this is, I hope it helps in someway.;) have a great day
