After months of waiting on Whirlpool parts only to have the warranty expire and receiving customer "no" service we went hunting for a new manufacturer. 13 month old fridges shouldn't die. This Bosch fridge freezer unit is everything my Drainpool never was. We are very happy with this purchase and with Best Buy. I highly recommend you shop at Best Buy and look hard at all items Bosch (stay clear of WP unless you don't mind flushing your money down the drain).

I bought this refrigerator because I love my Bosch dishwasher and I watched the company video telling how even the temperature was. My old refrigerator died and during the 2020 crisis finding a new refrigerator was a challenge. I live on my own now, and I thought the counter depth design would give me more room in the kitchen. I researched my options and decided to splurge on the Bosch.
When it arrived I decided to use the drawer inside the upper chamber for cheese and meats and use the separate drawers for produce. At thanksgiving I bought a turkey and that is when I discovered a major flaw in the refrigerator. There are no edges to the shelves and there is no gasket to seal the drawer from spills in the refrigerator. The turkey I was thawing must have had a small hole in the packaging and as it thawed the raw poultry juices flowed down into my cheese drawer_ spoiling everything in it. Clean up was a chore - you can't remove the drawer without removing the compartments on both of the doors- a few days later a guest knocked over something in the refrigerator and again it all flowed down into that drawer- if you look at it you see there that the sides of this drawer are open all the way - so any spill or condensation flows downward, collects in the drawer and spoils anything you are storing in there- the refrigerator needs to have a tray that goes from side to side to prevent spills from spoiling what you store in the drawer- I have had to throw out some expensive cheese and charcuterie -
I contacted Bosch and they told me they had no fix for this problem .
one of the things the company advertises is the temperature consistency in the refrigerator. I bought 2 refrigerators thermometers and put one in the bottom shelf and one on the top shelf- there is continually a 3-4 degree variation and it is always at a temperature different from what I have the refrigerator set on. I called Bosch and they said I should have service. When the service representative came he acted like I was wrong to expect the temperature to be even in the refrigerator and told me it had to do with the cycling. They removes some small piece of plastic packaging. Nothing has changed-I just set the temperature low on the compartment and store the things that I want very cold on the lower shelf. I put trays or paper towels on the shelves to prevent excessive clean ups.
This was an expensive purchase and one I will have to live with for a long time. I would not recommend this refrigerator.
