Compact but still holds a lot!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Due to size requirements to replace a 25 year old dishwasher, I had to go with a Bosch. I was worried about it being smaller than my old one but I think I can fit the same if not more in my new Bosch. Very quiet and the dishes come out great. Occasionally some are still wet but this is not a big issue for me. Love the 3rd rack too. My glasses are much cleaner than with my old dishwasher. If you have a smaller space than for a standard dishwasher don’t hesitate buying a Bosch!

Awesome dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this dishwasher. I got lucky. The one thatvibordered was too big so I went in the store and found this in the opened box section. Perfect size. Easy to install. Oh so quiet. The salesperson called in the Cadillac of dishwashers. Thank you.

I appreciate real reviews
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Posting a review because I base my purchase decisions on the reviews from people kind enough to take the time to share. I started with a Maytag in October of 2018. Two months and many repair calls later we returned it and purchased a Bosch 500 series. Two came dented and/or scratched. Switched to 800 series. Third time's the charm. (or fourth, if you count the Maytag) It holds about 2/3 the load of our 10yo dishwasher, but I've already fallen in love with the third rack at the top for lids and long-handled stuff. With the top rack in the lowered position, you have to check to make sure the spinning arm does not hit the plates. I only have it lowered because of husband's VERY tall coffee mug. It's very quiet, but the 44db rating is the AVERAGE, not the loudest (according to professional reviews). Still, mostly you just hear some swishing water. Cleans really well. Has a filter that they recommend is cleaned every six months. Very easy to remove. LOVE the cycle timer on the front. Auto cycle is about 2:25 minutes.Really nice to be able to see the remaining wash time. I don't like to leave the house with anything running, so this comes in handy. Looks great, runs great, just wish it held more (but then I'd have more to unload, so I'm rethinking that complaint xD) Oh! Kickplate does not reach all the way to the floor. Little white plastic adjustable feet show. Never had that problem with any other dishwasher (have had three since we moved in 25 years ago). Bosch needs a fix for that because it's really NOT a good look. I did call Bosch to make sure a finished kick plate wasn't missing, and to make sure this one was installed properly. Unfortunately, this is correct. A pretty stainless kickplate would have been great, especially for a dishwasher this expensive. So... four star rating because of ugly plastic feet.

Excellent dishwasher for ADA or smaller spaces
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent dishwasher - washes great and quietly (yes, you can hear it running, but it's about as loud as our new, quiet fridge), dries quite well if one follows instructions and leaves the door closed overnight to allow a full cool-down inside, and it is very energy efficient. Many of the negative reviews focus on the fact that this dishwasher is smaller than expected. But this is a dishwasher intended for ADA use, which also happens to be great for use in smaller-than-average installation spaces. It is an inch and half shorter and shallower than standard sized dishwashers, which made it ideal for our unusually shallow installation space. The addition of the 3rd rack means that we have more usable space now than we did with an earlier standard size washer with only 2 racks. If you have space to install a standard-size dishwasher, and don't need an ADA model, don't buy this one! But if need an ADA compliant machine, or a shorter model that is also shallower to fit in a non-standard space, this is ideal.

Great for Those Low Countertops!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Bosch 800 (ADA Compliant) as my new tile flooring shortened the distance to the countertop. This dishwasher is approximately an inch shorter in height than a standard one. Nice features, super quiet operation and a cool third top rack that holds larger flat utensils. Yes, it does hold a slightly less amount of dishes as it is a tad shorter. And, the silverware bin top has individual openings for each piece but are a bit tight for the handles, though you can flip the two piece top open. All in all, a very nice appliance.

Bosch is so Quiet!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Real happy with the cleaning and quietness of this dishwasher. It is smaller than most, but that is what I needed as I have a short clearance between the dishwasher door and range. In fact, it’s the only dishwasher on display at Best Buy that had a door short enough to install in our kitchen space. Even though it’s smaller, it still fits many dishes, pots and pans, and has a handy 3rd door for the silverware and small items. So many settings to choose from, even for a half load. I generally use the auto, sanitize, and crystal clear settings. The display on the front of the door is very easy to read.

Mixed Bag
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me this is a mixed bag, but on the better side. This is one quiet machine. That it has going for it. It cleans wonderfully and the dishes are nice and dry when done. I like the 3rd rack for the silverware, but, it doesn't add as much space as I thought removing the silverware tray would bring. I can't put tall glasses in the 2nd rack due to the 3rd rack. The 2nd rack will drop down but then the arm hits the plates in the first rack. Since there is no heating element in the tub, you can put plastic items in the bottom shelf. That helps with the lack of space in the 2nd rack. I am still not used to loading it. I think it holds less than my previous GE dishwasher with the rack on the bottom. One thing to be aware of is the install. For me there is a wide gap on the sides of the dishwasher. Also, there is no toe plate in the bottom and it looks bad. Luckily people don't look down there too often. Overall it is a good, solid performer.

Step down from the Bosch 500
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a 500 series in my prior house and just installed the 800. Overall, still a good dishwasher that is amazingly quiet, probably a bit better than the 500. But after using this for several days, I have to say this is a step down in my opinion. Few reasons: - The long narrow silverware bin in the 500 series seemed to allow more dishes to fit in the bottom section than this one with the more square silverware bin - I fit this into a 32+ inch height opening and the bottom kickplate just seems excessively large and the gap is noticeable. Not a huge deal and due partly to a higher than normal opening (but still within stated specs), it just doesn't look super finished and would look better if the door dropped lower and the leveling legs were better hidden - And for my pickiest item, why are the LEDs on the front red when modern appliances have all gone blue? A great quality dishwasher, I just miss the 500 series and wish I would have gone with the 500 again.

Bosch dish washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it. It is quiet and efficient. Like having the dials on the outside. Lots of room for everything. Especially like the cutlery pull out drawer. The second shelf can be adjusted to fit tall glasses. Also a fold down rack so you can double up on small items like cups. Do not expect everything to be bone dry. Occasional small drops of water on some items. that is due to energy efficiency standards.

Bosch shorter and louder than expected
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this online. My wife and I knew we wanted a Bosch since our last dishwasher, made by Kitchenaid, was in need of repair A SECOND TIME, after only having it for less than 3 years. We saw great reviews on the Bosch dishwashers and bought through Best Buy since we like their payment plan. The only issue was there wasn't many Bosch to choose from, especially ones that had a front panel. This was the only 800 series available online. It took over a week to have it delivered and installed. When the Geek Squad showed up, he immediately told us how this particular dishwasher is a specialty dishwasher and it's 2 inches shorter than most. I guess it's intended for office spaces (?). Before he installed it, my wife and I were not sure what to do, we really needed a dishwasher and we weren't sure when another Bosch front display dishwasher would be available through Best Buy. The installer told us that it does have a water softener, which was a big plus for us, but it still looked significantly smaller than we expected. It's surprising what a difference two inches makes! We bit the bullet and had him install it. Overall it's fine, our dishes haven't been this clean in years (Kitchenaid is terrible, did I already say that?). Still we constantly have to raise or lower the racks depending on our dishes sizes. Also, I kept hearing how quiet Bosch dishwashers are... this dishwasher is NOT quiet. It's much louder than our last dishwasher, so that was another surprise. Overall I'm "ok" with our purchase, but next time I know we'll go into a Best Buy to see the appliance in person and to talk to a sales person.

This ADA model is smaller than standard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall an excellent dishwasher at cleaning dishes. I had to study the manual a bit to figure out how to turn on hot final rinse to get the dishes to be dry (default settings left them very wet the next morning) but changing to a hot final rinse resolved that issue. The procedure is not very difficult but it is not intuitive at all and requires knowing which 2 digit code means what as that is how this setting is shown, not by a specific labeled light or button. Luckily you only have to do this once (at least until a power failure). I bought this as an open box item at a substantial discount and so was happy with it anyway, but I really wish I'd been able to buy the standard model instead of the ADA accessible model. The reason is the ADA model is more than an inch shorter than the standard one and so I needed to put about 1.5" of plywood under it to get it to reach the counter, it would not do so even with the legs fully extended without it. In addition to being shorter, this model is also a bit less deep than the standard model, so overall, it holds less items and especially less tall items (standard dinner plates are fine, but anything bigger is a challenge).

Superior Cleaning
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always been a Whirlpool guy. After 4 yrs decided to upgrade to this Bosch 800 series. It has a built-in water softener and the dishes come out crystal clear and clean. Love the stainless steel construction inside and out and really quiet. You won't know it's running. But beyond the sound, it gets all the soap off the glasses and that was the trouble we had with the Whirlpool. Only had it for 2 Weeks but reccommend so far.

Great Dishwasher at a reasonable price point
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very roomy! Fits more dished than our old dishwasher & is almost silent. Cleans silverware flawlessly & gets items clean that our old unit couldn't handle. Buying from Best Buy was so easy! We did our research & identified the unit with the features we need/want. Found it on-line at several retailers & Best Buy was almost $100 less! Bought on-line & had it delivered for free.

Well Worth The Money
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not like paying $800 for a dishwasher. But this was highly rated by Consumer Reports, so I bought it. It is amazing. Third rack is great and there are so many options for loading dishes and pots and pans. Quiet as a church mouse and very efficient. The install guy (geek squad) tells me the Bosch are the least he replaces .

Exceptional dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Supremely quiet, this dishwasher also excels in cleaning. The top, third tier for silverware comes in very handy. The Eco setting cleans marginally less, but well worth the tradeoff in time and energy savings. The easily adjustable second rack makes it a very versatile machine. And it's a beautiful dishwasher.

Size was the most important thing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked forever for a shorter dishwasher because the people who installed my countertop did not use spacers and the standard size dishwasher would not fit underneath. The ONLY dishwasher I found to be shorter was this Bosch. While some of the reviews scared me a little, I ordered it anyway. It fit perfectly. I read where some people are complaining about the lack of a drying element. There are many setting choices as outlined in the operating manual to improve the drying of dishes. It took a few minutes to get it all set up to maximize the drying settings I wanted. I have been extremely pleased. The only items that were slightly wet after using the dishwasher were plastic. These items never got dry in my old dishwasher either. To get the maximum drying benefit it takes 2 1/2 hours run time. I'm okay with that too. I would not hesitate recommending this product.
