I only had it for 2 weeks. I had a 36 inch Wolf cook top and this has a bigger cut out on the counter. So make sure your opening on the counter can take this. I had to cut mine 1/4 inches on 3 faces of the opening. It heats food much quicker than electric. I just hope it lasts at least 10 years. It looks great and it is ease to use. I am glad I bought this.

It has a great feature that allows you to test the efficiency of your cookware and it helped us determine the best ones to use. Not all “magnetic” cookware work the same. Induction is definitely better than either electric or gas.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately we have received a defective unit (our model is NIT8668UC). It gives random errors and shuts down while cooking without a reason. A Bosch technician tested the unit and after a consultation with Bosch concluded that the unit controller is defective and needs to be replaced. Bosch is aware of this problem, and apparently our unit is not the only one suffering from this issue. We are waiting for a controller replacement, but in the meantime our unit is almost useless. We have to turn it on again and again to finish cooking. The more you pay, the less you get. Shame on you Bosch! You should improve your QC. The only upside at this point is that it looks nice in the kitchen.
