A: This cooktop is a 36 inch model and will not replace a 30 inch cooktop.
Q: This surface appears to be more of a charcoal color, & not so deep black. Which is it?
A: The actual surface is more of a charcoal color.
Q: What is the electrical power requirements....220 volt, 40 or does require 50 amp circuit?
A: The manual says minimum of 40. Go to your fuse box and check out the current stove or cooktop fuse.
Q: what size cut-out in counter top is required?
A: You have to cut out exactly as instructed on the installation manual. I was surprised by this and before I bought this I had same question. I had to cut mine to fit.
