I have been a fan of Doctor Bose for some 35 years now. It began with a set of 501's , which I wish they still made. Those were more then a great sounding speaker, they were a designed to fit in as a piece of well crafted furniture. If you were lucky enough ( as I was ) than you know what I am talking about. Along with the pair of 501's I also had a pair of 901.s. Now that is a UNBELIEVABLE SPEAKER. First of all I am extremely happy that Dr. Bose hasn't changed the design since its conception. And why should he, why mess with perfection.....The 901 is a work of art that is wrapped around the most ethereal sound ever reproduced. There are those speakers that cost twice as much and more. But they fall short of the quality of sound that Bose has mastered. So now I come to present day, 4 years ago I was in a Bose Audio Store where only Bose products are experienced ( I say this because with Bose it is not just a box with speakers . It is a sound revelation that has to be felt as well as heard) and are sold factory direct to the customer. While I was there I purchased not one but two pairs of 201's and the VCS - 108 Center Channel Speaker to be used as a surround sound system. The Center Channel Speaker is a new product from Bose that compliments the other speakers. After hooking them all up I was not disappointed ...Bose is it !!!! THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing I would change is the time I sold the 501's and 901's. Thank You Dr.Bose for a life time a wonderful sound.

We picked up a 50 inch Plasma TV a few weeks ago, and wanted to upgrade our older Sony entertainment surrond sound system we are using with it. We looked at a set of Polks and similar speakers, but we did not quite feel like shelling out $1,000 for a pair of speakers. We researched and found that the Bose although smaller and able to fit on a bookshelf. Should fit the bill for us. With the way they bounce the sound around we thought they should work well for us. We wanted the 301's but since they were not in stock so we opted for the 201's. We were not disapointed. WOW. These are matched up with my older Sony system, and with a DVD like Iron Man playing you will blow your socks off. We have sound everywhere just like hearing a THX system in a movie. I will likely pick up a smaller set of Bose for the back speakers now, and ditch the cheapo Sony spekers my old system came with. These are well worth the money. Go Ahead!

I've had these speakers for about 8 months now and they seem to be a great purchase. They let my music sounds spacious while still sounding direct to my ears. These speakers can take quite a beating as well, sometimes I turn my Yamaha sound receiver up to +10dB (110 watts RMS per channel) when jamming out when nobody else is home and I can't even hear myself scream. The best part about it is there's no distortion introduced either. A big plus! I would deffinately recommend these speakers.

I have high expectations for Bose products as they have raised the bar in the past. These did not disappoint. Terrific sound but I'm not so keen on the current design. I'm a bit more conservative and "old skool" when it comes to speaker cabinets.

I had this speakers for over a year now and still going strong. I have them set up in my bedroom where i sometimes listen to classical to relaxation music and the sound is excellent its almost like listening to live music. The higher the volume the clearer the sound. They are perfect. I had them as my front speakers on my surround sound system before i got the Accoustimass and they did a perfect job. The price is not bad for the quality you getting. Best buy has a great return policy so if you want try them but im sure you will keep them.

These speakers are great. I have had them for 5 mounths now and I haven't even considered sending them back. I love the sound coulity in my 4 speakers. I like to sit in the middle of them and listen to the clearness and sourond sound efect they can give off. Worth the money. I LOVE them!

Everyone argues if Bose is good or if its just a cult following. Bose has made speakers that I would never want but these are good speakers. I have had speakers from Fisher, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Audio Phase, Altec Lansing, and many other brands. There speakers are one of my favorites. They do need a good amplifier and some equalization for full clarity, but if you know your way around audio equipment they are great. I have owned these speakers for 3-4 years and used them for hours everyday and they are still as good as when I got them.

Great value. Great sound quality. Speakers sound great. The MP3 check is in the back it would Be convenient if it was in the front.

I have had some different speakers over the years and none of them can compare to the Bose series. I've had the old Altecs, Boston Acoustics, Polk Audio and in my surround sound system, only one speaker sounds so very crisp, the Bose 201. I will now purchase the 301's for my other room, thats a little bigger, so I can crank the stero up a bit and enjoy every minute of it while working around the house. Can't wait for that best buy!

Excellent Speakers for the cost. They are a little large but other than that the sound is fantastic.

Come on folks. We're talking about Bose speakers here. One of the top of the line inour time. Can'nt say enough good things about them. I've been a fan of Bose from the first time I heard a pair. Add Best Buy into the mix to me is a unbeatable combination. For the Price Bose is worth every penney I spent. Cannot think of any thing bad to say about them.

These Bose 201's are really good speakers. The 301's are better for mid-range, but these are still very good sounding speakers. I actually opted for the 201's because my wife and I need the higher range clarity over the midrange fullness. We have them mounted on the wall as front speakers in a 5.1 surround system and they provide really good sound quality.

You get what you pay for..These speakers sound fantastic...I use the=m as side speakers in a 7.1 setup. Like the other reviews, crank them up, and they perform. Crisp clear and accurate. A great buy

The room filling quality of these speakers is the best part. The treble is too accurate, which causes it to sound harsh.

Sound is great and balanced with the subwoofer, clean sound and awesome volume when needed.

The speakers I have are way too big for my bedroom so I looked at the Bookshelf type and listened to all of them. These had the better sound and are better made. My big speakers are Altec Lansing with a slate top so the Bose 201 are a perfect pair for my room. The soud quality is great, the frequency response is excellent and they are easy to plug speaker wire into. I have a Pioneer VSX-918 and after making adjustments, you can hear these things from a low volume to a high volume and still sound clear.

These speakers have completely fullfilled my needs at this time. I've wanted to try Bose and am not disappointed.

The speakers were great over 15 yrs ago but now they're not even sounding like they should with Dolby Atmos and DTS. So the claim that this will be the last speakers you buy is a LIE. They also dont like anything above 100w
