My family has always been a Bose customer. Their products have always spoke for themselves, and the same remains true here.
At first I was skeptical about how good this subwoofer would be because of other reviews. Some said they had trouble connecting it to their soundbars, others have said it isn't as loud or that they need to crank it all the way up to hear any output from it. But I haven't had that case at all. For such a little subwoofer, man this thing can shake the house. Something of its size you would expect to have mediocre performance, but this subwoofer paired with my Smart Soundbar 300 draws a close tie with a home theater system.
I will say that even though it is a powered subwoofer, there is times that it acts more like a passive speaker system. If I am watching general TV shows I don't hear the bass to much. Which is normal, because of them being more vocal. Though when I play a video game, or play a movie, you feel like you are in a movie theatre. The immersive rumble of how rich and deep the bass is with the soundbar is why I am a diehard Bose customer!

For the price and size this subwoofer is very effective producing high quality bass. It's far from bulky, and blends in nice to all decor. For the size it packs quite the punch. The wireless functionality never fails. Easy to setup and sync. Great speaker.

I picked this up to compliment my Bose 300 soundbar.
While the soundbar alone has impressive bass even at zero EQ, the Bass Module takes it to another level with strong, booming bass and zero distortion. The clean, fabric-free design gives peace of mind against insects, pets, or light bumps.
As I said in my 300 review, you can purchase the 300 and this for the same price as a Bose 700 soundbar, which sounds identical to the 300 minus the module.
Do it, your ears will thank you.

I was never a real fan of Bose subs in the past. I bought this to accompany a sound bar. I have to say this generation of Bose subs are awesome! This really brings out the bass and has made the best sound bar experience I have had yet. I own Yamaha, Samsung, and Harmon which all have a good sound experience, but this goes from good to great!

The Bose subwoofer definitely complements their soundbar 500 and 600 Atmos model for small rooms. The app needs to be updated big time but their products are amazing and easy to use

The bass module picks up where the soundbar left off. If you have the Bose soundbar, the bass module is a must! Easy setup and connects to the soundbar effortlessly. The bass module produces the rich lows that I’ve come to expect from Bose. It’s not overpowering, no distortion at any level, and adds near perfect punch to match the crisp sound of it’s companion products. It’s small but powerful and can be placed almost anywhere in the room so you don’t have to accept an awkwardly placed eyesore to add a little bass to your setup.

I bought it to add some bottom to my sound touch 300 bar. Set up was a breeze and the look is nice. Unfortunately, my open floor plan was too much for it. Although you could tell it was there, the difference was negligible. I tried it against the wall in multiple places, off the wall, behind the couch, under the couch, in the tv stand...almost everywhere I could think. I tried it in my bedroom just to see, and it was a huge difference. There is no need in that room because we do not watch movies there. I returned it about a week after buying it.

Unbelievable bass when added to my Bose 500 Soundbar! Surprised of so much power in such small footprint. Bose lives up to its reputation known for superb audio. I am an electrical engineer, knowledge based decision.

Great bass, paring with my Bose 900 sound bar took a few attempts, though. Bought it on sale from Best Buy for $100 off list price. I wasn’t sure if it was the right choice since the sound bar is the top of the line and the sub is an “entry” level. But it sounds fantastic and is easily fine tuned with the Bose app.

I’ll start by saying I got an open box model for about 45% off. It was labeled excelled condition so I jumped on it. I give it 5 starts considering I did pay the full price.
Overall very pleased. It will NOT blow your socks off and make the house shake. But that’s not what I want it. I feel like it’s a great sub to have on all the time. Not over the top to bother anyone still sleeping in the mornings and loud enough to make music and moves more enjoyable.
