I had a pair that I purchased over 5 years ago and the noise isolation on/off button broke. I decided to keep them rather then trade in because they still work but can't turn on/off noise cancellation. I was headed on a VERY long trip with very long flights so I wanted to be able to toggle it on and off without taking out the buds each time. These are really some of the best noise cancellation earbuds on the market. Highly recommended. Battery on them lasts a long time and (unlike the wireless QC30, which I also own) you can charge them while you use them so you don't have to stop using them to charge.

These headphones have fantastic sound quality. The Noise cancellation works perfectly. I can listen all day at work without recharging and they are very comfortable.

This is my third Bose audio product - I also own the QuietComfort 15 headphones and SoundSport Bluetooth earbuds. I bought these to be a more compact replacement for the QC15’s while traveling and I have to say I am amazed by the noise cancellation and audio fidelity aspects of these – seem every bit as “quiet” as the QC15’s and with the high audio quality of the SoundSports. The size of the battery/noise processor element is not a problem and it seems to have the advertised long battery life. I was hesitant due to the price but after using these I have no regrets. Really outstanding.

Headphones work well. Noice cancelling feature is quite good, though I cannot compare effectively to others. Earpieces are reasonably comfortable and stay in place. Not sure if I would have preferred wireless instead.

I'll be honest, I was very hesitant about spending this kind of money on headphones. But for a 10 hour flight, these are nothing short of amazing. With the noise reduction on, you can lose yourself in your music or movies. Very nice headphones and well worth the money!

Overall I'm very happy with the Bose QC20. I had tried other noise cancelling headphones before, but always felt there was more to be had. I'm generally anti-Bose, but enough people told me these were the only way to go. I fly a lot for work, so in-ears were a must. Over-ear get bumped around by the headrests. QC20 are very comfortable for long stretches (8 hours to France). They are excellent at noise reduction for engine hum of the plane or a subway. They do a good job at muffling conversations around you, but not entirely. Where they are not great is on buses over bumpy roads. I take a shuttle van to the train, and every time we hit a pot hole and things rattle loudly and suddenly, the QC20 pops very loudly in my ear. Like the noise reduction is over loaded. So I've stopped using the noise reduction on that part of the trip. Otherwise, very happy.

I spend a lot of time in noisy environments and traveling. I used to crank up the volume on my headphones to drown out the noise, but at the expensive of my ears and poor music quality. I was blown away how well the Acoustic Noise Cancelling worked. It actually cancels out the outside noise and allows you to hear awesome sounding music without having to blast your ear drums. I sometimes turn on the noise cancelling without music for some peace and quiet. Also, I do not like big bulky headphones and these ear buds fit comfortably. They even allow me to lay down and sleep with them.

Bose's active noise cancelling is noticeably better than Sony, Audio Technica, and Monster's ANC I've tried. Battery lasts long enough for international flights (maybe even round trips). The shortcoming though is the location of the battery/power dongle - it's so close to the connector, so you usually have to bend the connector cable and put the dongle against your phone or media player. That does put a bit stress on the cable in the longer run, especially if you often put both phone and the dongle in pocket. The included storage case is also on the small side relative to the dongle and cable - you have to adjust the cables around so they can fit and don't get in the way in the case.

These noise canceling earbuds were purchased for use while motorcycling. I wanted to cut down on wind noise and be able to hear my music at a lower level. This has worked perfectly. I can still hear my surroundings and the audio quality of music is great.

Excellent noise reduction and very comfortable. The charge lasts a long time and is very convenient. A "must" for airline flights.

Very good sound quality. The most impressive feature is how the environment gets hushed. If you travel by plane a lot, this is the one. The headphone jack will allow you to plug into personal entertainment in the cabin as well.

I used these earphones on the plane. As everyone know planes are really noise, but this cancelled it all. It's worth the money if you travel a lot, have noisy roommates or anything else that is noisily bothering you. This will take care of it.

I really like the Bose over ear that I have. Big con is that they are bulky to travel with. I purchased these to travel lighter. They work just as well when compared to the Bose over ear noise canceling. They are light and i can fit them in a MUCH smaller space. Only drawback is that they are configured for Android or Apple because of volume functions. Other than that I would not even think twice to purchase again. As far as Active noise Canceling is concerned Bose has it dowwn and does it very well.

These are some of the best earbuds I've had. They have sound canceling and provide outstanding sound. I bought them for a long plane trip. Since I wear glasses, over-the-ear headphones get uncomfortable for watching a couple of movies and many earbuds seem too big for my ears and end up transmitting intra-cranial noises. These were anatomically correct for my ears and came with a smaller size silicone fitting. Very much worth the price.

I really love these headphones. I ride the New York subway and buses everyday and none of that noise comes through with the noise canceling. I highly recommend these for the sound quality and the comfort.

i love this Bose headset for airplane listening and relaxation. The noise cancelling removes the annoying background noise of airplane engine giving clear sound. an additional benefit of removing the background noise is you feel less tired from the flight. The ear pieces fit nicely and the case is easy to carry. Dont forget to buy an adapter to fit your phone if it's a USB-C!

What a great sound that comes from this headset.I can actually understand the words in songs I here .The noise cancelling is amazing and you can even switch modes and here things around you louder

Bose ear plugs guaranteed that user would have no outside noise when using this product and that was the case. Interacted well with Samsung phone.

My 15 year old wanted these headphones for his birthday. The first set did not work well with his iPhone 7 - it made a constant clicking sound. While he was really disappointed at first, we were able to exchange them for a different set. He now uses them all day long - talking on the phone and listening to music! He loves the easy access noise blocking feature. I tried them too and they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever used.

I have had almost every over-ear and in-ear headphone -- there is occasion for each. As the world slowly migrates toward Bluetooth driven headphones with the many vagaries they still show, these are still without a doubt the best of the in-ear wired phones. Sturdy, fit effortlessly and unnoticeably after almost no wearing, and the sound is everything one expects from Bose, including the noise cancellation. A cannot-go-wrong choice.
