Just to clarify, QuietComfort Headphones do not have touch or swipe controls. These features are available only on QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (1st and 2nd gen).

Sound quality is solid and microphone is decent. Unfortunately the bluetooth signal isn't consistent and will drop audio randomly (I have an iPhone 13 Pro and it continues to have issues)

Loud crackling/static sound in headset

I purchased these for extended air travel. The sound quality is as expected from a Bose product. Unfortunately, on two separate occasions, while in flight, the headphones put out a deafening crackling noise that seemed to sync with the engine power fluctuations of the plane. I literally ripped them off my ears due to the incredibly loud crackling in the headset.

Excessively noisy environments, e.g. planes taking off, can overwhelm the external mics, causing the headphones to crackle or distort. This can happen in both Quiet and Aware mode. I am sorry to hear that you have decided to return your QuietComfort Headphones.
Excessively noisy environments such as airplanes taking off can overwhelm the microphones used to monitor external frequencies (part of the ANC technology) causing the headphones to crackle or distort. So, if you would like to reduce the amount of times this happens we recommend doing your best to move away from the loud noises. For example if you are flying choosing a seat further away from the engines will reduce this effect.

They are okay, maybe i’m spoiled by my air pod pro’s. But I was expecting serious better sound. They are a little tight on my head. Sound is good, but not amazing. I have a little bose speaker 10+ years ago that has amazing sound so I trusted the brand. My mistake, should have tried out all the options.
