I have purchased Sonos Arc 5.0.2 when it was on sale during Christmas. With my setup, I was not able to connect the Sound bar through HDMI and there was no Optical out for Sonos. That's when I have returned it and bought Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar. Thus far, the Dolby Atmos and other digital sounds are very nice.The setup is a breeze. Movies / music sound lot smoother with nice Bass.

Love this sound bar. The acoustics are fabulous and the sound is crystal clear. It's why I only use Bose. This is a open box item and it was in excellent condition.

Solid brand. Solid purchase. I’m very happy with the room-filling sound and the Base Module 700 is an excellent complement. I need to get the surrounds added to complete the package.

Gotta give it a crappy score because the connectivity is awful. Sometimes it will connect with the remote. Sometimes it requires a complete power cycle (I bought a remote-controlled power outlet to make that easier). But it almost NEVER just powers up connected via HDMI. Optical was worse. For this kind of money, and with the Bose name ... shame on Bose! The sound is wonderful. The surround is wonderful (as long as you also buy the rear speakers), and it can be tailored just the way I want it. I like it for sports, above all. The app is good. It's a great product, the best sound bar/rear speaker system I've ever had ,,, once it gets connected. It just shouldn't be this hard. Or this random. No product should be this random, let alone a high end product. I tried all the connectivity options in the app - none of them made it better.
Hi there - I'm happy to hear you like the sound of the Smart Ultra Soundbar per se, as well as the performance of the Bose app. If you're experiencing connectivity issues via both HDMI and optical, then the different HDMI-CEC options in the app might not be the fix. It could be that there's an issue with the TV, or with the cables between the TV and soundbar. Excellent soundbar! Upgraded from a Bose Solo to Bose Ultra smart soundbar. The bass and surround are fantastic. Will add the bass module and surround speakers soon. Cant go wrong with a Bose.

Great audio after setting up with the calibration feature using the app. But the glass surface top on the bar when set in front of the TV has a very annoying glare/reflection. I placed some black felt on top of the bar, solved the glare for me. I have the bar paired with Bose surrounds and sub. Got on a Black Friday sale so ok with the price but at full retail, maybe not.

Easy to install and sounds great. I have owned many Bose products in the past and this soundbar that I paired with the SB500 subwoofer has not disappointed. I tried a different brand first trying to save a few bucks but ended up returning it in favor of the Smart Ultra. I have not experienced the connection issues that others have mentioned. Other than the firmware update that took place without warning it has performed flawlessly.

It sounds really good... but is often difficult to get it to make any sound at all and the onky way i can get it to, is by unplugging it and plugging back in and is very frustrating

Truly immersive sound even in a vaulted ceiling room. Just make sure you do the calibration correctly and it’s amazing sound. Can’t wait to add the surround speakers!

The Bose sound bar not only looks amazing it sounds amazing as well compared to my previous soundbar this one blows it out of the water. I did have a very minor issue with connectivity on my 85in Samsung not turning on the soundbar overnight once I updated the software on the soundbar itself I longer have any issues and the Bose app is very easy to use and I’m very happy with it.

The sound bar itself is fantastic (5 stars); excellent sound quality and reproduction of Dolby, Atmos and surround sound encoded sources. What is challenging is the setup process, which is only 3 stars. The Bose app is glitchy, and the online help articles are not well written. From trial and error, it helps to make sure that the sound bar has been manually reset to factory setting before attempting to install it on your local wifi network. Once you're beyond this initial installation process, adding on additional Bose and compatible products (e.g. subwoofer) is easy.
