Dolby atmos and sound filling doesn’t work really well at low volumes. Adaptiq requires plugging in a headset to calibrate (unlike Sonos where the iOS app could be used). I had wall mounted the soundbar and I had to take it out to be able to plug in the headset. I’ve had this for less than a month and I don’t see Bose value yet. It’s paired wi5 a bass 700 module.
Hello, we do recommend that the AdaptIQ calibration is done during the set up process, so that the soundbar is ready to go once all the setup processes are completed. I have been shopping for a soundbar for a view years, constantly checking the reviews. This soundbar does not disappoint. The range is amazing and is consistent in every seat of n the room.

If you buy just the sound bar it sounds like the tv speakers. You must buy a subwoofer to get the awesome sound you hear on the display model. The subwoofer will set you back an additional $600. For $900 the sound bar should be good enough until one can afford the extra $600 for the subwoofer but it’s not. I returned it for a LG soundbar with a subwoofer that cost $249 and it sounds amazing. Maybe not to the level of Bose amazing but good enough. So I bought a new tv to go with it. TV $900 and soundbar $249 so for $1149 I have a great system vs a soundbar and subwoofer for $1500.
I'm sorry to hear you decided to return your Smart Ultra Soundbar! While it's possible to add a bass module and/or rear speakers, this is not strictly necessary. I always recommend running the ADAPTiQ process, which will measure the acoustic properties of your room and calibrate the sound accordingly. You can also take advantage of AI Dialogue Mode, for ultra-crisp vocal clarity. Lastly, don't forget you can adjust the tone controls in the Bose app, to tweak the bass and treble levels of your soundbar to your liking. This is the 2nd one I bought, had to get one for my parents… but this one is the updated one i might have to switch them out ;-)

Stopped working/disconnected after about an hour. Spent 2 hours trying to get it back working, but gave up and swiftly took it back. When it worked initially I must say it was excellent. Room filling sound, AI voice was superb. Depending on your room, a subwoofer (or rear speakers) may not be needed. I recommend trying this as a standalone first . I may have just had a software glitch or got a bad unit.
Hi Patrick, happy to hear you enjoyed the Smart Soundbar Ultra's room-filling sound! If you decide to try one of our products in the future you can try the following steps. Power off the soundbar then disconnect the power cord from the soundbar, unplug the TV from power, and remove the HDMI cable from the soundbar. Power the TV back on wait and turn it on, do the same for the soundbar, and wait for the LED to stop blinking. reconnect the HDMI cable to the soundbar and press the TV icon on the Bose remote. the connection should then be reset and audio should come from the soundbar.

HDMI cable keeps losing connection (TV Audio vs Audio System) starts. I have had it a week and trying different cec options on Bose app- if no resolution in a few weeks I will return. I have a Sony Bravia 4K with Dolby Plus TV (A80J)

Not happy at all I’ve tried several times to connect with the app. No luck makes it impossible to connect my sub because you need to do it through the app big downfall!
