At the beginning I was thinking that this light and small speakers will be a joke in sound quality but man... they are really good, with a nice design, easy to operate, and a decent volume for listening to music at the office or your room. My wife use it as portable music source attached to her phone via bluetooth, and even take it for some familiar meetings! As result, this was my first choice for Christmas gift and got a few ones for all my partners and family! If want a little more volume, go to the bigger brother.

I listened to this speaker in store before purchasing and because of the amazing base and clarity of sound coming from this little speaker I decided to purchase it and try it out. I certainly was not disappointed!! I continue to be amazed and awed by the base and clarity coming from this little speaker. The volume can be turned up very loud on this portable speaker and the battery life if very good. It comes with a flat charging cradle and AC wall adapter that plugs into the wall. The underneath side of the speaker has a soft non slip rubber material that will not slip or scratch surfaces. The speaker sets on top of the charging cradle giving it a full charge in what I thought to be a short amount of time. If you hold the power button down for a couple seconds it will tell you in an audible voice how much charge is on the unit. It was very easy to pair with my phone and use. No complication in using it. I can't say enough about the awesome sound quality coming from this little speaker that sounds even better than my surround system with subwoofer. It's such a soothing base and audio quality!!! If Bose had an affordable surround system that sounded like this I'd buy it in a heart beat. And I can not forget to mention the portability of this unit is great as well. I'm very picky about sound quality, I notice things most people don't. I've work with sound for years and in my music group, to say, I've been conditioned and have a trained ear to look (hear) for such things.

Easy to use. Love the voice prompts and also the use of hands free for phone calls in the office. Pairs easily with Bluetooth devices. As soon as you turn it on it tells you how much battery life is left and what device it is paired with. The sound is awesome up to about 75% capacity, above that it gets a little scratchy or distorted in my opinion. At 75% it is plenty loud ( actually too loud) for a normal room so I would say unless you are working in the yard or at the beach you would never want it above 75%. Weighs 1.5 pounds so it is perfect for travel. The $20 extra for the Mini II is well worth the price difference from the original. You can pair up to 2 devices at the same time so different songs can be played from different devices and you don't have to reconnect each time. It can remember up to 8 different devices. Can't beat Bose quality .

I had bought a Bose Sounddock III to use with my Ipod Classic and really liked the sound quality that it gave, but it isn't very portable. On the other hand this is portable and is made very nice (solid). It has a tough metal casing and the buttons have a strong rubber over them. As for the sound quality it is top notch. It gets loud, just not as loud as a Sounddock but still good enough, have yet to notice any crackling when testing the volume limits. The battery does last about 9 hours on mid-high range volume. Also I have an Ipod Classic and sense it does not have Bluetooth I have to use the AUX port which works good. Just make sure that your device you hock up this way is actually turned up and the volume lock is not on. I have tested the Bluetooth with my laptop and it also works good did not really test the max distance but was about 20 feet away from it and it still worked. Over all if your in the market for a good portable speaker then you should seriously consider this as one of your options.

I spent some time reading reviews and trying out different Bluetooth speakers in retail stores. I found that many of them either sounded muffled or the highs were too exaggerated. Also, the lower end on many of them was almost non existent except for a quick punch of weak bass. Given the size of these speakers, it's surprising that they can get any decent bass out of them. This unit has very clear audio and a surprising low end! You really do expect to see a much larger speaker. The idea is to place the back of this speaker a few inches from a wall. This increases the bass noticeably. The Sound Link Mini II has been upgraded since the first Sound Link Mini and the additional features are worth it. The addition of a micro USB connector for charging and firmware updates is a big plus. Also the voice prompts are a nice touch and can be easily disabled if you would prefer to not have them. However, I do like the ability to hear the battery charge status as it will tell you in 10 percent intervals when powered on or when you hold down the power button for a couple of seconds. The speakerphone feature seems to work well but I have not used it very much. Although I do use the onboard controls (multi function button) to play, pause, skip, and rewind tracks. I know that there is a lot of controversy surrounding Bose and the "processed" sound that the company provides. You have to remember that Bose set out to create audio that best fit how our ears prefer to hear audio. Basically what makes our ears happy. This is not in line with providing you with every frequency as efficiently as possible. Just a different way of looking at audio. I have found that this speaker has great clarity and does not wear on my ears like many speakers do. Even after hours of straight listening, I have no ear fatigue.

Out of the box plugged in charger synced to my Galaxy 5 and 5 minutes later I'm listening to Pandora. Dont let the size fool you the sound is amazing from this little guy. Will make nice Christmas gifts. Oh and it works as a Bluetooth speaker for my G5...people tell me the sound is excellent. So it sits on my desk and serves two purposes. Going to try it in my car next. Bose did a nice job with this speaker.

With my recent purchase of the Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Mini II, I am very impressed with the sound it produces. I surprised with the weight it has, which tells me Bose installed some quality electronics within the speaker. It was very easy to pair and did not take very long to charge up. It is compact enough to take with me on trips and surprised my coworkers at the office with the clean sound, crisp highs, and decent bass it produced. It is perfect for rooms and offices. I'm very happy with my purchase. Of course you will pay more for the Bose name and technology, but you won't be disappointed. I listen to various types of music (jazz, rock, R&B, Techno, and hip-hop) without any distortion or sound starvation. The battery life has been great so far (over 3 hours of playing and still going on the initial charge).

I normally have some degree of buyer's remorse after spending this much on an item. Not so in this case. I was wary of the Bose name since I have previously assumed the premium price was simply due to hyperbole...but we listened to three brands in the store and the Bose had the best sound to our ears, and wasn't all that much more expensive. I've used this in the vehicle on long drives listening to podcasts from my phone via Bluetooth and it's definitely got the volume I needed. So far I've only asked the battery to last for about five hours, and it did. Pairing to my phone was easy, and I've had no problems with dropped connections. I used it once to answer a call, and it worked fine.

Bose has always been a great, trustworthy brand and the SoundLink Mini II is another great product by Bose. When at full volume, you almost feel like you're in a movie theatre. It's a great, strong speaker that works well for all types of music genres. The SoundLink Mini II is user friendly and also has an AUX port to plug in other devices for those who may not be Bluetooth savvy. Weighing about 1.5 pounds, you can take this speaker with you wherever you go since it is small and durable. It makes for a great sound system at home gatherings if you want to play music. The playtime is also great and stays on for up to 10 hours until it needs a charge.

You may have noticed a $20 discount popping up all over the market on the original Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker. That's probably because they were clearing inventory to make room for the new version of this wireless powerhouse of sound. The SoundLink Mini II is simply awesome. You'll find more than 5,000 reviews for the original Mini, averaging a 4.7 rating out of 5 Amazon stars. That's a lot of happy users. Here's what they've added or changed in the new version: 1. It has an improved lithium-ion battery that takes it up to 10 hours of usage from the original 7 hours. On paper, at least, that's an increase of over 40%. 2. It has integrated phone compatibility, so if your paired phone has an incoming call while you're listening to something on the Mini II, the speaker will take over the audio and ring, and you can press a single button on top of the speaker and use it as your speakerphone. The sound on a call is great, and my caller on the other end said the microphone must be pretty decent because he could hear me very well. As soon as the call ends, the speaker picks up playing your music or podcast. 3. It has a micro-USB input so you can charge it the way you do most other USB-charged devices. That replaces the proprietary AC input plug they used to have that required you to use their AC adapter. Because there is now direct USB connectivity, Bose promises you'll be able to download software updates in the future, such as for new Bluetooth compatibility advances. 4. You can now pair two devices at the same time instead of just one, and it memorizes the Bluetooth settings for the last 6 devices you've paired. 5. There are helpful voice prompts for Bluetooth pairing, identifying the device currently paired and also prompting you through setup. This is a Bose speaker, so the sound is absolutely amazing. It's tiny. It weighs 1.5 lbs and it's smaller than a brick. I've never heard such powerful lows in such a small speaker. I can feel the bass vibrations running through my kitchen countertop. The speaker is a mere 2 inches tall, 7 inches wide, and just over 2 inches deep. Picture that, or measure it out. When I first got the speaker running in our kitchen, my wife came downstairs from the bedroom to tell me she couldn't believe how great it sounded, even upstairs! We've had quite a few Bluetooth speakers here, and the difference between the Bose and those in the $35-$100 range is like night and day! I haven't tested the range fully, but I can tell you that I've had my iPhone in my pocket at times and walked upstairs and to the furthest parts of our house, and the connection hasn't dropped. I'm sure it has limits, and it may depend on how fully the speaker is charged, how fully your phone is charged, what the walls in your house are made of, and so on. They spec it for 30 feet, but I'm sure there will be variations on that with individual experiences. There is also an LED power indicator that glows green when the charge is >70%; yellow if it's 20% to 70%; and red if it's below 20%. If "two bills" is within your budget for a Bluetooth speaker, go for it!

This unit is quite unique, as it will produce quality sound from such a small space. Battery lasts for long periods of time if volume is kept low to moderate. It is nice to carry this unit almost anywhere and listen to good sound. It is not water proof or splash proof, so must be kept away from moisture. It serves my purpose while working on small projects around house or while at the office. Sound is projected from front and rear of unit making it audible from almost anywhere within bluetooth range.

Listened to al the 'small ones'--the Pill, JBL, Sony, etc--but this sound is the best in my opinion. A little on the pricey side, but great Bose sound, small compact size, good volume w/o distortion, and long lasting battery. Perfect for travels! Also, like the voice pairing and the announcement of remaining battery percentage. Oh and don't buy the Bose Brand $44 case---way too expensive. Nice cases available elsewhere (ie Amazon) for $10-$15.

Let me just say I would actually rate this 4.5 stars because of the price, but I did not want to rate this down to a 4. The minute you pick this up, you know it's a quality product. it is definitely heavier than I thought it would be, but that is not a bad thing at all. The sound is great of course, it is after all a "Bose" product. The charging cradle is an added plus for the fact that you don't have to fiddle with a cable to charge it, you can just place the speaker right on the charger, but lining the speaker up with the dock can be a little cumbersome at times. The charging dock will move and shift around pretty easily when on a smooth surface such as a night stand or glass top table. Placing the speaker on the dock can become a two hand process at times, but you may be better at it than me. The battery life is great, I can listen to music for over eight hours and still be around 40% battery life. Keep in mind that is if you don't have the volume maxed out. If you keep the volume around mid level, you are pretty good on battery life. However if you go louder you lose battery life exponentially. I didn't really time it, but I probably drained the battery in just over two hours at max volume. Bluetooth pairing was very easy and it connects to my phone almost instantly when I power it on. I also love the fact that I can pause my music right from the speaker. Overall this is what i would expect to get from a Bose product. Is it a little pricey?... absolutely... but I know I am getting a quality product that will last a lifetime.

I bought this as a gift for my husband but I think I use it more than he does! Love the quality of the sound. It is what we expect from Bose. Volume is very loud so you won't have any trouble hearing it. It is small, lightweight, and easy to transport. The only thing I wish I could adjust is the bass--it is a little strong. Other than that, I would buy again for sure.

Disclaimer: I'm NOT an Audiophile but I don't like poor sounding music. I had my eye on the Bose SoundLink Mini II for quite a while. I've always loved Bose quality but scared away by their price. Every time I was in Best Buy (or Target) I'd stop and listen. In store the SoundLink sounded good but I wasn't sold. Eventually I purchased two products that had an equal full price but were on sale for less. Both of them got returned because of poor sound quality or flakey bluetooth connection. I finally bought the real deal and was impressed by how good the sound quality is at home in comparison to the noisy/cavernous Best Buy store. I use the speakerphone with my iPhone and it works fairly well, if it's an important call I usually skip it but that may change over time. The bluetooth connectivity is a 9 out of 10. Occasionally it takes a couple of tries to stick but once it's connected there aren't any issues with dropping. The design is well thought out and the quality of the build is Boses all the way. This little guy weighs twice as much as I expected it too. I added the silicone case, it fits like OJ's glove. Happy to see that you don't have to take it off to use the dock.

Bought for it's portability, wi-fi wireless and cordless (built-in rechargeable battery) for easy re-placement anywhere in the house or outside patio. Also small and light enough to travel in a Carry-on if need be. And of course comes with the Bose Quality construction and that very unique Bose bass sound. We also have the Bose Sound 20 (power wired), another great speaker we normally place in our living room where it does not require constant relocation for listening, but can be. It packs a lot of sound volume with clarity for a very tiny unit. I have compared it side-by-side with other Brands. For me, due to that smooth Bose Bass tone, it's the Best Buy. No pun intended.

I recently purchased a Bose Mini Blue tooth speaker for my husband for Christmas. I was able to pair it to my blue tooth cell phone. However, when playing various tunes from my paired device, there was a lot of "broken sounding static". So, I had to return it to Best Buy Nashua. This is the first purchase at Best Buy that I have been very disappointed in,.and I have been a customer since the Nashua store opened many years ago!

This little speaker is da bomb! I played it side by side with my wife's Wave Radio...I played similar tracks and I have to tell you...it sounds as good as the Wave radio, albeit in a smaller package! And it will handle any genre of music that you throw at it, and handle it well. Plays loudly, without breaking up. Bluetooth range is sufficient for my needs. Bose did it again...great product.....highly recommended!
