Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the SoundSport® In-Ear Headphones' sound quality, fit, comfort, and value for the price. Many appreciate the lightweight design and strong bass response. However, some customers point out the lack of a microphone and inline volume control as drawbacks. A shorter-than-ideal cord length was also mentioned as a potential area for improvement.

I returned these. The sound, as usual with Bose, was great, but for some reason this style headset does not come with in-line volume controls. This plainly makes little sense. I bought them for working out, as they are "sports" headphones, and I can't easily skip to the next song or change the volume without a remote, in-line, volume control and skip buttons that all of my other Bose headsets include. To be sure, this headset DOES NOT have an in-line mic for speaking on the phone (which I did not want), but oddly, it is the same price. So why no controls? Previously, I had purchased the Bose Sports headset with in-line mic, which did allow speaking (theoretically) and came with in-line remote controls over volume, song selection, and stopping the music altogether. It is a faulty product. I had three of them; none of them lasted over a few days. I discovered the the microphone was shorted by my sweat. If used exclusively for exercise, they'd be fine, but if used as an exercise and talking headset, within one or two workouts, the headset would break. Even though after the first and second times, Bose assured me that it was an anomaly and that they had never experienced such breakdown in the past,, the third time was a charm. Lightning simply doesn't strike the same place three times in a row within a couple of days of usage each time. So I bought these. As a pair of listening headphones, they are fine. But for a pair of headphones to use while working out? It makes no sense. In the midst of a cardiac workout, one has to stop what she's doing if any adjustment or change needs to be made, and that simply makes no sense. SKIP THESE if interested in a sports headset. It'd be better to buy the headset with the in-line mic knowing that within minutes of one's first workout, that the mic is likely to short.

Excellent sound and that's it. Short cord, no mic or volume control. BOSE got everybody that thought they were getting a great bargain Black Friday weekend. But the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for". Who sells headphones anymore with no mic ? BOSE... :-(

First, the price point: $100. These headphones include no mic. If you want that, it is $140. I got these on Black Friday for $40. I returned them. You are paying for the name; they cannot get very loud. And seriously, $100 and no mic? Pass. Clear sound, though.

Positives: Fits and stays in your ears very well even when running and through heavy workouts. Lightweight. Inexpensive. Negatives: Disappointing sound quality. Artificial bass and poor highs. Prefer AKG's/JBL's all day!

Sound is decent. This product lacks bass. If you're looking for a cheap workout earbuds, this is good for you because it does not move or fall out of your ears. If you are looking for quality, look elsewhere.

In-ear headphone purchases are always a gamble since you can only get the best sound from them if they fit your ears well. In this case, I was hopeful of a good fit because I was happy with my similarly shaped Bose Bluetooth earpiece. However, it wasn't meant to be and now they sit in my "last resort" drawer.

These earphones sit on the outside of the ear and just shoot the sound into your ears. Yes, the sound is good, but if you want to actually immerse yourself with music or whatever you're listening to, don't get these. You'll be disappointed. I used to have my volume set at 70% with my old earphones (on my laptop), and with these Bose ones, I have it at 100% volume and I feel cheated. Definitely not worth the price. It feels like I'm listening to a band without any bass. Or like right now, I'm listening to a hip hop song with the bass boosted and still so disappointing.

I own a lot of bose products and I bought these knowing that for all other bose products I own (wireless soundsports, quietcomforts (2 pair), and Bose Color bluetooth) that the sound would be good and the design comfortable. I was not correct. These do not stay in your ears very well, and they are not comfortable to wear (the bud itself is a little too large I think). Once you get them in the sound is good and clear, but they fall out so quickly that you are listening to what's around you more than the tunes you're trying to pump. Kind of annoying.

Basically they lasted the time length I would get out of a 20 dollar pair for about 5 months. I would say get some insurance. There not worth the 100 dollars they are priced for.

I love Bose, I own a pair of QC25s, and QC35s. I bought this pair cause the sale price was nice and I needed a pair for work. Sound was what I'd expect from Bose especially for the sale price, but only lasted one day. The part that plugs into the jack went out on me, they were plugged into my phone in my pocket and couldn't handle the movement. I've had very inexpensive headphones that took way way more punishment, but bad sound quality. I just think they should be made better. JMHO.

I bought these as a replacement set of earbuds as my previous set had recently died. I was excited to get these as Bose is known for great quality sound. When I finally got them I brought them to work and tossed them in and started listening to music. Within 30 minutes my ears started to hurt from the buds. I tried swapping out all of the different sized caps but they continued to irritate my ears. I would not recommend buying unless you can try them first.

Overall sound is not special. You sense a slight difference of sound with $10 headphones, but nothing great. Coming from Bose I would've expected more from that company. The design is nice but about after a while, it gets annoying around the ear. You feel a bit a pain removing it from your ear. Good thing I bought them during Black Friday price. Definitely not worth it at full price.

I wanted a second set of wired headphones to complement my Jaybird X2 wireless buds. Unfortunately, the sound quality of these low-end Bose earbuds did not compare even to the wireless X2's. Additionally, though comfortable to wear, these Bose earbuds did not fit well in my ears nor did they block out any background noise. I will unfortunately be returning these.

Bought these for myself as a Xmas gift. The sound is great, however they take some time to adjust to get the fit to feel correct. For a Bose product I was expecting higher quality. Personally I prefer my wife's Beats headphones and would spend the money on those before this Bose model.

Always expect perfect, crisp, clear, sound from Bose products, as I have the wireless sound link and the computer speakers. They don't sit in your ears comfortably, always having to adjust them, and they sound like I bought them at the grocery store checkout counter.
