It stopped working suddently
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought the SoundTouch 300 soundbar a year and half ago. The initial setup was not easy and we have to call the customer service for help. After we set it up, we used it lightly. The sound quality is good. However, it suddenly stopped working recently. It happened when we returned from our out-of-town trip (the system was unplugged) and found out that the speaker somehow cannot be turned on. We called the customer service and was told that we have send it back to them and pay $167 for them to take a look at. We searched the Bose Forum. It seems that this is not an unique situation. There are other customers who experience the same problem. Very disappointing. A product of $1,500 worked for 1.5 years...

Stopped working after just 3 days

Went to the BB to hear the demo and was impressed. Liked the clarity better than SONOS. Took it home with the sub. Installed it and used the Adaptiq utility to tune. Bass was nice and crisp. On day 2 bluetooth stopped working. Day 3 no audio from TV... I was done.. After spending over $1500 this should just work without much effort. Didn't have time to waste to call support.. I returned it. I am sure for some customers this was the deal but for me it didn't happen that way.

Sound Quality not what I expected from Bose

Prestigious Sound Quality!

I was able to set up audio receiver on "Xbox One X" to Bose Soundtouch 300. I currently only have the bar. It was just software updated 11/28/2017. Very impressed. The bluetooth functionality is spot on. I have been using an iPhone 8 Plus to bluetooth to it. Bluetooth works just as you would want. I tried all current 2017 video game platforms to see how they would sound. Just as you would expect they all sounded good. I watched "Alien Covenant" UHD Blu Ray on "Xbox One X" via Optical. I was very impressed with the piano play in the beginning. In fact.... thats the biggest difference to me. Compare a piano playing or Orchestra playing on this sound bar compared to other brands. Orchestrated music on this sounds great. I was listening to many of Mozart's top pieces for hours. The Soundtouch app is very user friendly. I did get to demo "Game of Thrones Season 7." I will not spoil but towards the end of the season. You know the scene ;) It sounds absolutely epic. My living room is 280sq. ft. It sounds stellar. The "AdaptIQ" headset calibration is neat. I just hooked it up Optical. The HDMI are good to have too for any future need or ARC use. I had hooked up Motorola Arris DVR Advanced to HDMI in and HDMI out to LG B7 OLED Arc port. It sounded fine. You can control volume via the "Apple Watch" app of Soundtouch or doing Bluetooth with the wheel of the "Apple Watch." I'm hoping to purchase the sub very soon. I also have been using the Logitech Harmony 665 to control my setup. No issues at all. Does come with a cloth to wipe it with. This is the winner for me. Bose has been around since 1964. Just go to a Best Buy & listen to "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles at the demo station. That's one of my favorite songs so really sold me on that. The "Air Play 2" partnership announced for Bose Wifi products back in summer seems interesting too. I understand its not available yet. I bet that will be neat if it does become available for this product. Regardless Wifi & Bluetooth capability was a win for me. Hope this review helps someone who is shopping for the holidays.

Good as any Bose products but

Terrible!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the soundtouch 300 soundbar along with the acoustimass subwoofer and was completely disappointed with the sound quality while watching tv or movies. The dialog was very muffled and not very crisp at all. I calibrated to my room several times as recommended by Bose but that didn't help. I had a very difficult time getting it set up to sync to the wireless subwoofer and to my wifi connection at home. After having to reset the soundbar several times I was finally able to get it to work, then I set up blu-tooth connection to my phone. It wouldn't connect to wi-fi after that, had to reset again. After connecting to my wi-fi again, then I couldn't connect to blu-tooth. The app for the iphone is less then desirable and claimed half of the time that it couldn't find any speakers connected to my system. This went back to the store. Completely disappointed. There are $200 soundbars that sounded better than this. Read the reviews here, there are lots of 4 and 5 stars that say music sounds better then watching movies or tv shows (which I agree) but who buys a soundbar to listen to music? Lots of 4 or 5 star reviews complaining about the app as well.

Samsung blames Bose...Bose blames Samsung. Will stay connected using optical cable, which doesn't have the best sound compared to the HDMI connection. Why spend thus amount in a speaker that doesn't work properly. To learn more search the issues on the internet.

An optical cable can carry the same surround sound audio signal as an HDMI cable. In addition to the HDMI connection to your TV, please connect an additional optical cable from the audio out on your TV to the optical in on your Soundbar. Terrible Product!

This system does not work well with our smart TV...continually auto changes input from cable to sound, unit, which results in not able to watch TV...sometimes changes a dozen times...piece of junk for $1,600!!!
