I used the HDMI ARC output on my Sony Bravia 48" TV with an upgraded HDMI cable. This upgrade made a noticeable difference in sound quality. In addition, I caught a 48-hour sale and paid $450 plus tax, an outstanding deal.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I pre ordered Bose Soundtouch prior to hearing it and just took the plunge since I have owned many Bose products before including a Lifestyle series. So here is my quick review of it. Sounds: so far so good, base was better than most competitors but adding the sub base really makes it awesome. Set up lacks a good manual instruction, needs better user interface and I was disappointed with the way it required for set. I'm fine so far with the above but what really upsets me is that after a week of usage, the Bose 300 shows glitches. Sporadic lost of sounds every minute, just a split second but enough to annoy me for a $700. Two weeks into it, I used it over 5-6 hrs straight and the buzz noice sounded off like a tsunami alert warning. I freaked out and was unable to turn the soundbar off. Finally turn it off after 20 seconds plus. Now I have it for 3 months and it's getting worse, the alert sound recurs often and now I will have to contact Bose for a fix or a replacement. I heard that they are planning on the firmware but I've yet to make a wifi connection to the system. I think Bose definitely rush on this before a propper testing. Utterly sad for this to happen to a company I stake my reputation on which is why I pre ordered it. A sad day for me and hope this can be resolve with the patches and firmware. Hate to carry it to a pot office after a knee surgery.
