    I have had this for a few weeks and am very happy with the purchase. We purposely didn't get the bass unit to test out the sound bar itself and believe you don't need the bass unit. Before settling on this, we tried the Sony HTNT5 which consistently dropped the connection to my tv, a Sony 930D and pairing it up was frustrating. Overall very pleased.

    Instructions easy to follow and set up. Only one issue and that was handled by Bose customer service tho the first Bose agent helped part of the problem then sent us to TV customer service to complete but he complicated the problem. In recalling Bose customer service, the agent quickly corrected Tv customer service's problem and fixed ours quickly also.

    The Bose® - SoundTouch® 300 soundbar coupled with the Acoustimass 300 and the Virtually Invisible® 300 wireless surround speakers must be one of the best sound systems made. Incredible clarity and effects. Takes patience to set it all up but worth it. I called into Bose and the girl helped me set up the remote for all of our components.

    I bought this soundbar after it was discontinued by Bose. In my opinion, this one takes the cake when compared to the new 700 and 500 sound bars. For the price of $500, I could not pass it up. My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to purchase the subwoofer.
