This system is excellent. It has taken some hits from people having trouble connecting it to the app. This can be done using a common PC; you do not need a phone or tablet. The way to do this is first throw away the connecting cable which comes with the system; that little cable is worthless. Go to Best Buy and purchase a simple, inexpensive cable which was made for use with the X Box (it is blue and quite long...tell the helpers what you want. It is a good cable which has worked every time for me. When you get it connected (the directions are terrible, of course but read them slowly and try to figure out that "speaker" actually means the "Bose Radio"). On the back, there is a small and "feeble" connection which is VERY easy to "think" you have connected which you may not; you must do this VERY carefully and get it to fit perfectly. It will, but you have to be a kind of detective to see that it is done correctly; it is very easy to feel you have it connected when you actually do not). It you get a message which says "can't find your speaker (radio), you probably do not have it connected securely or are trying to use the piece of junk which comes with the unit. Be patient, REALLY, this does work and works well when you get it connected through your persistence. The radio is just superb in my opinion. The app works on phones, tablets and PCs (it tells you which one to download for a PC). The radio stations come from everywhere you can think of...all over the place including many locals. The playlists work perfectly from the streaming sources and it is unbelievable how they make the sound actually seem as if it is coming from a two-sided sound stage; stereo with only one sided source. Remarkable. As with most electronics, the directions and "help" comments are just TERRIBLE. If you do what I suggest, I would bet you will not have problems and things will work smoothly. When you get it hooked up, you will be in for quite an experience as the sound is incredible.

I have worked 25+ years in the industry and every now and then you come across a product that you think, "wow they hit a home run with this one". I started my career marketing for a prominent consumer electronics manufacturer (speaker brand) and did not feel too guilty buying the original Wave (at the time, we did not have a competitive product). The design is truly unique and to this day I am not sure another product that small can get the sound fidelity you can get from a little Bose Wave. But after 10+ years of use, the CD player started failing. Although I mostly used it in AUX with a FireHD 8" to pull TuneIn / Spotify, it was time. My wife surprised me this Christmas with the new Wave SoundTouch. ... ok, I was hinting strongly. The idea of accessing the same music apps in one device with a simple phone app was appealing, given I'd rather use an app than VCD (voice command devices) that are so popular these days (Alexa, Hey Google). If you wonder if VCD is for you, google the "smart speaker play smooth jazz playlist" commercial from AT&T, yep I'm not a fan. The setup of the Wave SoundTouch was manageable, I would not say "google product easy", but it only took a few minutes. Once I was up an running, it was all about loading my favorite apps... TuneIn, Spotify, Pandora and even Sirius (which often includes access from streaming device). After a month of solid use, I can say the connection to each app is reliable and sound is excellent. A couple of surprises, we found my wife can also download the app and control the same device... she had never streamed music before but now does all the time, much to my delight. The app is that easy. You can also use the manual button adjustment on your phone to adjust the sound, much easier than the touch GUI. We also, connect our family room TV (Bluetooth) for big games etc... once again, excellent sound! To sum it up... The app (GUI) is intuitive, easy to navigate and visually appealing. All the popular apps are available, including TuneIn, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM and Deezer. Forgot to mention, it includes a solid AM/FM tuner to pull in terrestrial stations with ease. To pull terrestrial stations, best to connect an RF cable with phono plug connected to a long range antenna in you attic (which you should have for pulling in free ATSC channels in HD for your TVs). The connection is reliable and provides the best sound available from a small table top device. It is pricey, but nothing else compares at the moment (not even close). I am very happy with this purchase and really can't think of an improvement... although I wish Bose would expand the line to include a bedside alarm clock/radio. I hope this review is helpful.

This is an easy system to set up. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I've tried putting the radio in different parts of my apartment and have gotten great sound everywhere. It's pricey to be sure, but the system delivers as promised; whether using the radio or the CD. I'm extremely pleased I decided to purchase the Bose.

Listening to it right now. I love everything about it. While it was pricy, it was worth the expense. I can control it with the remote or use my phone and pull music from the phone or a music app.

I have wanted a Bose for at least 10 years-but kept putting it off. Now-kicking myself for not having one! The sound is wonderful and the unit the perfect size for my two bedroom apartment! I love it, love it, love it!

I can't say enough about the Bose Wave SoundTouch. I really wanted it so I could play a CD every now and then and use the radio feature. The sound is just fantastic. Better still, I can stream my SiriusXM music so now I'm also enjoying my favorite Sirius channels in my home. It was a bit of an investment for me, but well worth it for the streaming options I have and the sound is just wonderful.

I was looking for a good sound systems that allowed me to play CDs as well, and I decided to give this system a chance, and it something that I enjoy almost every day. The sound is very clear, and I have not have any issues connecting it to the wi-fi. The app for the smart phone works very well, but it took me several tries to make it work due to my phone smart network switch. You need to disable it during the installation. Also, this unit is very sensitive to the quality of the music it plays and the acoustics of the room. Do not expect this to be a unit to use in a big room or a party. Internet music like Spotify and Amazon sound very well. Overall, very satisfied with it

This unit gives great sound. Fairly easy to set up. The CD player is easy to use, set up of the unit was easy. It looks great in our room. We do not have it connected to our surround system due to our existing set up, but I imagine it would sound wonderful. You can turn it up quite loudly and not have any sound distortion. We just got it at Christmas and haven’t yet explored all of its capabilities, but I look forward to checking them out.

I love my Bose. It’s sleek and sophisticated in design. It isn’t bulky and blends elegantly into its surroundings. It gives me the option of listening to my cds and streaming music from my devices. It has a quality sound that does not distort or sound like it’s in a can, when the I raise the volume. This is critical. I love my music loud. Now I wish I had speakers or sound bars for other rooms. A house full of music is a happy home.

WOW!! Bose has lived up to its reputation for fantastic sound systems and then some. The Sound System IV is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Excellent selection of music sources from around the world, and the system fills any room with crystal clear music. Some reviews of the Bose app used to control the system have been negative. However, my experience could not have been better. Use it on 2 iPads, iPhone & iMac computer - all work flawlessly.

I have been buying Bose speakers for the past 20 years and I am always pleasantly surprised with how they continue to improve what seems to be the best sound possible! Great system! I do feel like you get what you pay for and I think it's worth the money.

I had a very very old Bose and it worked fine and sounded great but I needed to get one for my fiancé for his home. I purchased this and it sounds FANTASTIC, I LOVE the Bluetooth part about it but it took me a few minutes to figure out you need to control the volume on your phone when using the Bluetooth...…..it could have been on the directions but I still haven't read them. Very easy to use and set up.

When I looked to replace my unit damaged in a fire, I was absolutely certain to purchase another Bose Wave Music System. The sound and orchestration fills the room with clarity with increased volume. It is very easy to set up and the design of the unit is appealing to the eye. This newer version has a companion app that provides local radio stations, podcasts, sports, trending stations, and specialized music stations. I love this system.

We have converted our Sound system to Sound Touch, but have a large cd library. The new Sound Touch Wave gives us additional flexibility to enjoy both wireless, blue tooth, and our cd collection.

The size is perfect for our small living area and we like the option of being able to add a wireless speaker to another room in the future. The bluetooth connected easily and we love streaming music. This model also has a CD player which allows us to listen to all those CDs we’ve collected over the years - old school but a very nice option. The best of all is the sound!! That’s why we chose Bose. Go buy one!!

I am amazed at the quality of sound that comes from such a compact unit, certainly living up to Bose high standards. It was easy to set up, and is in constant use in my home every single day. An added benefit: Christmas music sounds that much more wonderful, and is much appreciated during this covid affected holiday season. Purchased on sale at a very fair price.
